Harrah's Resort Atlantic City
3.4/545 Reviews
I love how Hadia at the front desk always takes care of me and it was so nice of her to call me and tell me my room was ready. It seems like Harrah's has the biggest rooms out of all the ******s (Waterfront Tower). It always feels like luxury. The only downside is there is no handicap access from the garage to the ******. If you're in a wheelchair, you have to go outside in the elements to get to the front desk which I think is terrible.
Nobu Hotel at Caesars Atlantic City

The sea view room has a view of the sea. The hotel is owned by a Japanese internet celebrity restaurant in New York. The ingredients are high-end and simple, and there are marble bathrooms. There are also disposable slippers in the room, which is available in high-end hotels. The coffee inside is made with very good coffee beans, and there are two Japanese chocolates, which are LAX brand. Check-in is in a specific room, and tea is also available.

Enjoyed our stay for the weekend. Clean hotel, friendly helpful staff. Many things to do and places to eat.
Golden Nugget Atlantic City
3.6/5116 Reviews
On the surface, Golden Nugget is a solid choice. Rooms are nicely sized, pool area is great, tons of restaurants and generally a good vibe. However, service is severely lacking. The front desk is a complete disaster. I had added an extra night last minute for the two rooms I had reserved, and it was booked as a separate reservation. I called ahead and was assured it wasn't an issue. When I arrived, the agents were extremely pleasant and also told us there was no issue and we were good to go. Come to find out when I was in the middle of working the next day with my do not disturb sign on, this wasn't the case. Housekeeping barged in and said I was supposed to check out. Funny enough, they never came back the next two days to clean the room. I called the front desk and got a completely rude and different tune than the night before. They had me booked in an entirely different room. They managed to fix that, but myself and my travel companions had to go back down to recheck in and get new keys. They had to leave the pool and I had to stop working while I was trying to wrap up so I could enjoy my vacation, to go fix this error. Had this been communicated at check in, I would have handled it first thing in the morning. Sean at the front desk was, at least, apologetic and gave us a few drink vouchers. I would have been happy if everything was resolved. I thought we were done with the problems at this point, but it didn't stop there. The next day when we went to the pool, my friend who went with me to check back in, wasn't on her room so they wouldn't let her in, even though I witnessed her give her name. We had to leave and go down to the desk to get her added. I then find out that my room was blocked from room charges when I tried to order drinks at the pool, even though they had run my card, and I have the $100 hold on my amex to prove it. A little while later, my husband complained to the front desk when he couldn't charge a few coffees, they assured him he shouldn't have this problem and it was fixed. He went back down, and the workers had to call the front desk to confirm, and they said he was authorized (and it was on my bill). Later on, I called for room service and ran into the same issue. I called the front desk to complain and they told me my card was declined (it wasn't) and I needed to come down to run the card at 11 pm, yet again. I told them I had cash, and I was simply letting them know how many issues I had. They said they were sorry, but it was somehow my fault that the card wasn't run. I've never checked into a hotel where my card wasn't in file. They don't even let you check in without a hold. To wrap up the experience, when I addressed the issue with the woman checking me out since I didn't know how I could have charges since I was blocked from adding any to my room, she saw there was a credit card listed that wasn't mine. I gave her my card to show her it didn't match, and to settle the bill. She brought out the hotel

I gave a 2 star only because of the front desk staff. From check in, they weren’t very friendly after we declined to upgrade our room. Our toilet paper holder fell off the wall so we told them as we were leaving for dinner and that they were more than welcome to enter the room while we were out. 3 hours later when we got back, they still hadn’t come. Not a big deal, it’s just a toilet paper holder. Then the people in the room next to us were screaming and having a party when we were trying to go to bed. I was over it by then so went back to the front office because no one came earlier and now I have a party going on. I asked if we could just move rooms, I was over it. They said only if I wanted to upgrade to a different room or downgrade to the other tower. I find it hard to believe that in this big hotel that there was no other room that we could move to without having to pay another $40 to upgrade. It’s a Tuesday night in April, really? It’s a ghost town right now. We’re staying in the Ocean Tower in a King Room. I paid to be in the nicer room in the nicer tower already. So no, we didn’t move rooms, they sent security to tell the people next door to be quiet and they did. Finally someone came up to fix the toilet paper holder but I was in the shower so it’s still sitting on the ground. The lights over our bed came on twice randomly in the middle of the night so that was annoying. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again based on our experience from that perspective. However, I would be back to visit based on the experiences with every other staff that we crossed. The security officers were all very friendly and always smiling back. Jane, who was the cocktail server in our playing section was so sweet! She was attentive and just overall very nice. The bartender at Hells Kitchen was incredible! She was running all over and never missed a beat! I believe her name was Rosina. She is definitely an asset to your company! We made a point to tell the manager on our way out how awesome she was. Again, he was super polite as well. The gentleman that helped us at the Players Club, again, super friendly. I never write bad reviews because it’s very easy to be negative and write something not so nice. Our experience with the front desk staff, including the manager, would make me not stay here again but otherwise, they have incredible staff and every other aspect of our trip was great.
Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City

Stayed over to see a show. They were sold out but we got the room through trip.com. Corner room was spacious, clean and had a great shower. Bathroom hair dryer wasn't working but they left an extra one. Got in later than we wanted due to traffic, went to the show, met with friends and ate late at night. Great selection available for late nite food. Burger was excellent (I'm picky about burgers). My only complaint - I thought the venue was too cold. Love that Hard Rock offer both smoking and non smoking rooms. I hate getting a room that has been smoked in.
