"We enjoyed our stay. Room was kept clean and a card was placed inside the room so air-con could be kept on even if we left the room - crucial given the heatwave sweeping across Northeast Asia. Good location to take buses around Taichung/other cities and to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport as well. One small complaint would be that the soundproofing of the rooms is not as good, and we sometimes heard the sound of people above us, especially if they were moving something or lying down hard on their beds. But otherwise no complaints and we enjoyed our stay."

"The location is very convenient, with Starbucks, convenience stores, and fast-food restaurants all nearby. However, communication with the receptionist was quite difficult. I stayed for four days, and when I called to request a shower gel refill and a bed sheet change, they only replaced the towels each time. The bed sheets were quite old and had several stains. The air conditioning worked well, but the remote control didn’t seem to adjust the temperature properly. The shower had hot and cold water, but the temperature was inconsistent and difficult to balance. The room lighting was also too dim. The Wi-Fi was generally fast, but it wasn’t very reliable, as there were times when the connection became unstable. Overall, I still had a good experience, and I think the hotel offers good value for the money."

"The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was definitely convenient, making it easy to get around. However, the room could have been cleaner and the overall cleanliness was below my expectations. If you’re staying here, I would suggest not expecting too much in terms of room condition and cleanliness. That said, the friendly staff and convenient location are the main positives."

"Excellent location and friendly hardworking staff. But this is one of the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room has the necedsary furniture but they are run.down. The owner apparently only cares about himself. For an example I have posted a photo of curtain with holes. The bed was firm but ok. The bathroom was actually not bad. Only strange thing was that there was no toilet roll holder. There never was one as there are no holes on the wall either. Housekeeping worked hard but with the state of the room, there's only so much they can do. The breakfast was strange. If something ran out they are instructed not to refill I guess. Even the coffee machine just gives you a slightly coloured water. Someone complained about bed bugs in some review, but we had no such problem. With an excellent location, I regret to say that the hotel is in a pathetic state. As the owner only likes to count money. So sad."

"The hotel seemed to have been recently renovated, so it was relatively clean. The bathtub was quite shallow, and there was no shower curtain, so showering would definitely make a mess. The water dispenser on each floor was a nice touch. It's about a 5-8 minute walk from the station and roughly a 10-minute walk to Liuhe Night Market. There are also about three breakfast places near the hotel."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The check-in process was very fast and efficient, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. I originally booked a double room, but to my surprise, I was given a complimentary upgrade to a quadruple room. The room was extremely spacious, clean, and well-maintained. It even had two TVs, which was a nice bonus. The restroom was also large and featured a bathtub, making the stay even more comfortable. Whenever I encountered any issues, the hotel staff responded promptly and resolved them efficiently. The location is excellent—only about a 5-minute walk from Kaohsiung Main Station. There are plenty of convenient dining and shopping options nearby, including McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and 7-Eleven. The breakfast was another highlight of the stay, offering a wide variety of choices to suit different tastes. Overall, I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kaohsiung."

"Most importantly very clean and neat, never mind the hotel is located on the 3rd of an old building, the entire hotel is located in one floor, the management took care of that well, it provides bottled water as well as dispenser, free coffee/tea, I would say this a a very decent budget hotel, location is not bad at all, near the main MRT station that connects the whole city, just a 5-7 minutes walk, rooms are not very spacious but they are mostly squarish and practically designed, it's comfortable, you don't feel crammed, and for that kind of price in a major city like Kaoshiung, it's really value for money, week days rates are highly competitive.. Wouldn't mind to stay here again. It's worth it."

"Overall, I had a very good stay and think this hotel deserves a higher rating, especially compared with some higher-star hotels I stayed at in Taiwan. The room was very clean and housekeeping was thorough. I also really appreciated the free coffee (black coffee) and water dispenser. The shared kitchen and dining area are very useful, as you do not have to eat inside your room. Having the garbage disposal downstairs is also great, especially as you do not have to keep food waste in the room. The air conditioning was strong, the fridge worked well, and there was also a large shared fridge/freezer and dishes available on the ground floor. The washing machine was excellent: 40 TWD for a roughly 50-minute wash and 10 TWD for detergent. Unlike many other hotels, it also had warm-water programs, and my clothes actually smelled fresh afterwards. The receptionist was very helpful, and being able to contact reception through LINE while outside the hotel was extremely convenient. They responded quickly and were always helpful. The elevator and stairs were also good. I especially appreciated that there is a guest toilet available even after check-out. Also, a hairdryer and slippers were also provided, which was convenient. A few negatives: the walls are very thin, the bed was too short for me (1.73m), hand soap was missing, and I found it unusual that toilet paper cannot be flushed. Check-in only starts at 4 p.m., which is quite late. One additional thing to note for taller guests: the bathroom ceiling is quite low. The biggest issue was noise from other guests. There was a lot of loud noise after 11 p.m. and late into the night. It would be very helpful if the hotel introduced clear quiet-hour rules and reminded guests at check-in to keep noise down after around 10 p.m. Regardless of where people come from, being considerate of other hotel guests should be basic courtesy, especially late at night. Apart from the noise, this was a very good hotel with excellent facilities (see pictures) and helpful staff."

"My stay at City Suites Taoyuan Station was a great experience. The room was clean and tidy, and the twin room had enough space with comfortable beds. The location is very convenient to Taoyuan Station, and it's easy to find places to eat and catch transportation nearby. The staff were friendly and check-in and check-out were smooth. The overall environment was quiet, and the facilities met my needs. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taoyuan."
