The property was in the center, so everything was easy to reach. The only flaw is that there is a bar right under the rooms overlooking the street and in the evening it was very noisy and it was difficult to sleep.

Diplomat Motel is well located in the middle of the town centre. Woolworth and Coles supermarkets are just nearby. Restaurants are nearby. The staff are helpful.

I requested an upstairs room facing the car park & pool.
I live remote from Alice & am aware of issues locally.
I wanted to view my car I. The parking area & up away from the noise.
A young female receptionist who referred to me an older adult as love on arrival, proceeded to put me downstairs by the gate where I am aware of street antics.
I went back & requested a move & was moved by a polite male.
Upstairs facing my car park.
It suits me to stay there as it’s locked at night & tradies stay there & sit out chatting late giving a decreased opportunity for visitors trying to get into your unit.
I booked well ahead & clearly it was not too busy.
I am NZ Indigenous & I felt this female receptionist was quite unprofessional. I suspect decided she could treat me differently to any non indigenous person & put me anywhere.
Not liking it.
Otherwise it was my choice as restaurants & food are good.

Right near centre of town so ideal for access. I got there from airport by shuttle for $AU20. The checkin was very quick and when I asked for a downstairs room (big bag-no lift) they happily gave me one. Room was dated but clean with nice big tv (though the reception was glitchy). nice to find a kettle with plenty of tea n coffee. There was also a fridge to keep your water and snacks in. Bathroom also dated but well appointed. Water was lovely and hot. I was pleased to find a bath in mine! Hotel has a cafe and a bar/restaurant attached. Food and service was good in both. security is good at night as they have gates that close it off (though there is someone on all night in case you get back at midnight from the Uluru day trip…

Dark, badly lit room. Dirty toilets and bathroom. Fridge is really old and broken. Water and milk formed into ice crystals Musky and stale smell in the room. Loud and noisy with music late in the night and aborigines hanging around in the neighbourhood well into the night. Didn't feel safe walking out alone. Customer service is bad. No action taken to replace fused lights until we confronted the front desk. Room was not cleaned on 1 morning. Only plus point is its central and convenient location; near the shoppînhg centres and places of interest.

I stayed for 2 nights at this place before going out on Larapinta trail for 2weeks; best thing is that I left my lugguage at the store room without any cost. Hotel location is great , just crossing the street to shopping mall, walking street and restuarants. Its facilities and inroom comforts are very ok . Parking spaces for vehicles are a lot. Meals are served at the hotel cafe and restaurant at the reception. Only disadvantage is noise from nearby bars and nightclubs, especially on friday and saturday nights but it ‘s quiet after late midnight.
