I still prefer staying in the city center over Taipa, and the room rates are better too. Overall, my experience at this hotel was quite good [rose emoji]. Location: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Room: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Breakfast: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Amenities: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value for money: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall, the location is very convenient, the views are beautiful, and the room hygiene and hotel facilities are perfectly fine. Breakfast was a little ordinary, but that's a minor detail I can overlook. The overall value for money is good.

Arrived at the hotel at 11 AM and the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, helping us check in early and even upgrading us to a business room. The room wasn't huge, but the layout was very efficient, with distinct areas for the bathroom, sleeping, and a small living space. Everything was spotless and comfortable. The hotel's location is super convenient for transport. It's right next to the Sands Hotel, and just a short walk to catch a bus from Sands directly to The Venetian, The Londoner, and The Parisian. Lotus Square is right next to the hotel, and behind it is Macau Polytechnic University. If you want to visit the Ruins of St. Paul's, it's about a twenty-minute walk. Fisherman's Wharf is directly opposite the hotel, and there's a bus stop right on the side of the hotel, making getting around incredibly easy. For this price, given the location and the hotel's quality, I'd definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Macau.

I celebrated my birthday here today, and the hotel was beautiful and very comfortable. They even surprised me with a birthday cake. The pool area has both indoor and outdoor options, plus a small jacuzzi. The changing rooms have a small sauna, and best of all, there's a hydrotherapy pool. The hotel boasts several Michelin-starred and fine dining restaurants. The Buffet at the Hill has a huge buffet area with a wide variety of food choices; we booked a room that included breakfast. There's also a garden outside that's perfect for photos. There aren't many shops around, and the Yaohan department store didn't have much of interest. I went to the Vivienne Westwood exhibition, which was free and definitely worth a visit.

In late May, I took a ferry from Hong Kong's Sheung Wan pier to Macau's Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal, then walked 20 minutes to the Rio Hotel. The hotel strictly enforces its 3 PM check-in policy, and there were many guests waiting to check in at that time, so we all had to queue up. The standard room was very spacious (much more so than Hong Kong hotels). I booked the hotel through Trip.com for an average of CNY 450 per night, which included breakfast for two (the breakfast was decent and suited to average tastes). The hotel is very close to Macau's famous landmark, the Ruins of St. Paul's, and is within walking distance. After checking out this morning, I stored my luggage and spent most of the day exploring Taipa. To get back to mainland China via the Gongbei Port, you can hitch a ride on the shuttle bus from the neighboring hotel. I visited Taiwan in 2019, and now that I've explored Hong Kong and Macau, I've checked off all the boxes for my travels!

The hotel's exterior looks a bit dated, but the interior decor, both soft and hard furnishings, is very upscale. It's exceptionally clean, and the doorman proactively opened the door and helped with luggage. The staff were all very warm and attentive. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but for someone with simple needs like me, it was more than enough! The afternoon tea had a rich and exquisite variety. The restaurant staff were all incredibly enthusiastic and meticulous, promptly attending to every customer's needs and responding immediately. The lobby was clean and well-maintained. The room was great, probably newly renovated, with no strange smells and modern fixtures. The bathroom had all the necessary facilities but felt a bit basic. The shower, toilet, and sink area had a wet/dry separation, but the shower curtain and glass door weren't very practical and seemed a bit untidy. The power outlets were universal, like those in mainland China, and toiletries were provided, so there's no need to bring your own. On the first day of our stay, the mini-bar was complimentary, and it had a good selection of drinks. However, we didn't see any small complimentary gifts, even though we had a child with us. The hotel is located on a hillside, so walking might be a bit tiring. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel with a direct route from the Border Gate. While the shuttle service takes a bit longer, it's quite convenient for round trips.

Upon arrival, Cynthia helps to arrange the connecting room, free upgrade with night view, bday surprise cake, welcome treat, special souvenir n extend check out to 2pm for us. Also follow-up to ensure everything in good hand. She really an amazing team player.

This was my second stay, and what a difference! This time around, I was really impressed. The front desk staff were proactively helpful and had a great attitude, which was a huge improvement from my last visit. The room was clean and comfortable, and the facilities weren't outdated. The location is excellent if you know your way around – Marina Bay Sands is just across the road, and the dining options at the hotel are a pleasant surprise. The buffet, especially, was such good value for money. I'll definitely be staying here again.

I booked a premium king room with executive benefits. This hotel no longer has a casino, so there's no complimentary shuttle service. Since my booking included executive benefits, I received complimentary afternoon tea and a dinner set. If you want to upgrade to the dinner buffet, it's an extra 100 RMB per person, which is still worth it. The room itself was decent, and the size was quite good – much larger than the tiny 'pigeonhole' hotels I've stayed at in Hong Kong. The decor is a bit dated, but the French-style design gives it a nice feel. The gym is on the first floor next to the pool and is also a good size. Zhuhai is right across the river, offering a pleasant view. From the hotel, you can take a bus directly to Gongbei Port. The Grand Lisboa Casino is about a 20-minute walk away. The hotel's breakfast is very rich with a good variety of options, and the service is excellent, including dedicated Chinese-speaking staff. There's a designated smoking area by the pool, outside the first-floor restaurant. Welcome fruit and capsule coffee makers add to the overall sense of quality and ambiance.

The location is excellent, and it's a new hotel with almost all rooms offering views. The room was clean and tidy, and even the bathroom offered a scenic view, with the bathtub right by the window so you can soak and enjoy the scenery. During off-peak times, the room rate is reasonable, offering good value for money. My only minor complaint was that the room temperature was set quite low, around 16-18 degrees Celsius, which felt cold in summer when wearing short sleeves. After I adjusted it to 22 degrees, housekeeping reset it to around 10 degrees the next day. However, after speaking with the front desk, they didn't lower it again for the rest of my stay. Overall, the service was quite good. While the breakfast selection wasn't extensive, the quality was excellent, and the restaurant environment was very pleasant. The infinity pool, highly recommended by other guests, is beautiful and perfect for photos or children swimming. For adults, it's a bit shallow, only reaching an adult male's hips. The hotel also has luxury outlet stores, a supermarket, various dining options, and a cinema. The surroundings are great for morning and evening strolls, even on weekends. It's very close to Senado Square, Grand Lisboa, and Wynn Palace. The Amares Plaza bus terminal is just a few steps away, making it very convenient to get around. I'd read reviews about slow check-out and deposit refunds, but if you pay online when booking and use the express check-out by simply dropping your room card in the box at the counter, you don't need to wait in line, and the refund is processed within a few hours.
