We’ve been traveling through China for nearly a month, so pulling up to the Pan Pacific Suzhou felt like a sudden shift—it is a massive, distinctly Western-style property. The environment is truly lovely. The gardens, especially the Pan Men scenic area right next door, are a total highlight and provide such a peaceful setting. Inside, the hotel is grand and spacious, with a fantastic breakfast buffet that strikes a great balance between traditional Chinese and Western options. However, the sheer scale of the place makes it feel a bit impersonal. It’s so spread out that I actually found it confusing to navigate the hallways. Also, be aware that you are pretty isolated here; you’ll need a taxi to get to almost anywhere of interest in the city. I was also disappointed by the room amenities. For a hotel of this caliber, it was strange to find no coffee machine and an empty mini-bar—it felt like a missing touch. Overall, I’m giving it 5 stars because there wasn’t anything actually wrong with our stay; everything was clean and well-maintained, but it definitely lacked that cozy, personal atmosphere I usually prefer.

When choosing a hotel, my top pick is always Shangri-La. Staying at a Shangri-La hotel feels just like home – it's warm, comfortable, and the service is incredibly attentive and top-notch. No matter which Shangri-La property I visit, the service standards are consistently excellent. My recent stay at the Shangri-La Nanjing allowed me to fully rest and relax after a tiring journey, and the culinary offerings were truly delightful. The hotel's ambiance is luxurious yet understated, elegant, and peaceful. The air always carries that distinctive, wonderful scent unique to all Shangri-La hotels, creating a warm, sophisticated, and refined atmosphere. The staff's service attitude is impeccable: polite, genuinely smiling, and thoughtful, all thanks to Shangri-La's thorough and comprehensive training system. In short, Shangri-La hotels are always my first choice for travel.

The hotel's location is a bit small, and parking can be a hassle, though the staff did help guide us. Now for the complaints: First, there's absolutely no artificial greenery or landscaping as advertised. The subway construction outside is very loud, and the soundproofing in the room is terrible! Also, the 'afternoon tea' is just some tea bags for you to brew yourself – no cakes or anything like that. The room key card next to it shows how tiny it all is. Honestly, they shouldn't even bother offering it!

Centrally located in Xinjiekou, this hotel boasts an excellent location, making it convenient to get around and perfect for shopping! The service is incredibly attentive; Manager Fang from the VIP hotline provided professional and meticulous service with a warm and thoughtful demeanor. She was proactive and thorough throughout, always responding and following up on every detail. Before my stay, Ms. Fang noticed from my social media that I was traveling with a baby and thoughtfully left a message saying she would arrange for children's amenities. These small touches truly made me feel at home at Jinling Hotel, showcasing their high-quality service and leaving a lasting impression. The concierge was also very polite and helpful with luggage. Jinling Hotel will definitely be my top choice for future stays!

Location: Super convenient! Confucius Temple, Fuguo Street, Suning Mall, Golden Eagle, Hubushan, and Huilongwo are all within walking distance. The subway station is right downstairs, which is a huge plus, especially during Golden Week when traffic can be a nightmare. It's definitely a landmark building in the absolute city center. Cleanliness: Better than expected, but since it's on a high floor, all the windows are sealed. I personally prefer good ventilation. Facilities: Better than expected, but the hairdryer was a bit basic. Service: The housekeeping staff and the cheerful young man who seated us in the restaurant were all very polite and genuinely enthusiastic, not just mechanically so.

Staying at Andu Hotel during my Suzhou vacation truly gave me the slow-paced江南 (Jiangnan) lifestyle I'd dreamed of. Tucked away in the ancient city's lanes, the hotel offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle, with windows opening up to the vibrant scenes of everyday Jiangnan life. The room was bright and elegant, a blend of natural wood and light gray, bathed in warm, healing sunlight. The bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful, undisturbed night's sleep away from any noise. Shāntáng Street is just a short walk away, offering picturesque canals, ancient alleys, and delicious local food right at your fingertips. The staff were gentle, friendly, and provided naturally attentive service. Here, you can truly slow down and soak in the gentle charm and beauty of Gusu.

Staying at the Shangri-La Hotel Yangzhou was an experience enveloped in luxury and comfort from start to finish. The room was spacious and elegant, exuding a grand Chinese aesthetic. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were high-end and fully equipped, with thoughtful details evident throughout. The dining was exquisite, offering authentic and traditional Huaiyang cuisine. The buffet had a rich selection and excellent flavors, ensuring delicious culinary delights from morning till night. The swimming pool offered expansive views and crystal-clear water, in a quiet and upscale environment, making for a truly enjoyable swim. The gym and other amenities were also comprehensive and well-equipped. The service was attentive and thoughtful, making for an overall luxurious and pleasant experience. Whether for a vacation or a business trip, it's an absolutely superb choice. Finally, a special thank you to Guest Services Manager Emma. Her attentive and meticulous 'Shangri-La style' service made our stay truly wonderful. She is a true paragon of professionalism in the hotel industry. As an international brand that has been open for many years, the Sheraton Changzhou continues to be a reliable and solid choice. Its location is superb, right next to Xinbei Wanda Plaza, offering one-stop access to dining and shopping. It's also very close to the Dinosaur Park, the Municipal Government, and Cultural Square, making it incredibly convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The guest rooms are spacious, and the bedding is as comfortable as ever. Although the hotel is older, it's well-maintained, and hygiene is impeccable. Jackson is professional and efficient, and the front desk and housekeeping respond promptly. The heated swimming pool and gym are well-equipped, meeting the relaxation needs of business travelers. Overall, it offers great value for money. Highly recommended!
