"A decent base for exploring outside Beijing, with a few pros and cons There are two subway stations around Dequan Hotel, but both are more than a 10-minute walk away. Renting a bicycle is highly recommended as it makes commuting much easier. Since the hotel is located in the outer suburbs of Beijing, getting into the city center takes over an hour and requires transferring between 2–3 metro lines. Beijing is huge, and attractions are far apart, usually taking at least an hour to reach. If you stay here, it’s best to plan activities that are outside the main city center. We stayed in a two-story loft room. The layout separates the space into two zones: the bathroom, sink, and a small sofa are downstairs, while the bed is on the upper floor. This means you’ll have to climb down the stairs if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night. The window in our room overlooked nearby rooftops, offering a wide, unobstructed view. On the downside, there was a bad smell coming from the bathroom drain, and the fridge in the pantry didn't work at all, despite us checking both the plug and the switch. The breakfast had a mix of options. The freshly made dishes were mostly vegetables, which was great for health-conscious travelers. There was also a section for steamed and fried convenience foods. However, the bread was dry and tasteless. The salad and dressings were good, and they provided coffee, ice, filtered water, and a microwave. The hotel rents out part of a larger building, and right next door, you'll find restaurants and a supermarket. Don't forget to stop by and check them out!"

"The location was great, but our room had no direct light from sun, and no windows opening on outside at all, with an A/C that was not working at all. The room was hot and not air moving, a terrible feeling. On top of that, the room was located just below the roof top that was undergoing construction work, which means lot of noise from early morning. The room is very old, walls are stained, clearly not looking like the booking site pictures. The hotel needs a big refresh. Right now the entire exterior is under construction, I hope you plan to do the rooms soon. Overall, not acceptable not to be informed that there is big construction work done at the moment, and having a room with no external ventilation and AC working should not even be commercialized. A rip off for the price paid."

"This was my first time staying at an airport hotel for a layover. I searched and compared options on Ctrip and chose the Yuanhang International Hotel. It's only about 3 kilometers from T2. My flight landed after 11 PM, and I contacted the hotel for pickup. They responded quickly, and the service was excellent. The environment was really nice, and they even provided fruit and yogurt. In the morning, I saw alpacas! Arranging the shuttle back to the airport was also quick. Both the pickup and drop-off services are free and available 24 hours, definitely recommend."

"Lezai Nanluo Boutique Hotel was truly one of the most unique stays I have ever had the pleasure to experience! It was the perfect location to explore historic Beijing Hutong neighborhoods and easy access to all the major sites, including the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and Wangfujing shopping district. The hotel itself was gorgeous, with a beautiful mix of modern comfort and traditional architecture. It felt very private and lush, with a cozy little courtyard and terrace. Booking included complimentary breakfast (amazing spread, all made in-house) and afternoon tea with a selection of delicious treats. The most stand-out part of our stay was the service. The staff are fluent in English and offered concierge advice, recommendations, bookings, and assistance with all parts of our stay. If you are thinking of exploring Beijing and looking for a truly unique experience, I would highly recommend this beautiful boutique hotel!"

"18m2 was a lot smaller than i thought, that’s on me. Opened up 2 large luggage and there won’t be much space to walk. Nonetheless, the hotel was really clean. Provided daily night snacks and refreshments. Staff were friendly and helpful. This hotel has a lot of foreign travelers, the staff can communicate in english well enough."

"Service: Check-in was super fast, and the staff were gentle and always available if we needed anything. Full marks for service! Environment: Lots of convenient dining options nearby. Hygiene: Pretty clean, even for us with our slight germaphobia. We love staying in new places like this. Facilities: The floor creaks a bit when you walk on it, and the decor is just so-so, but it wasn't a deal-breaker. There were no chairs to eat at, so we had to stand or eat on the bed. I'd suggest adding some chairs."
