We’ve been traveling through China for nearly a month, so pulling up to the Pan Pacific Suzhou felt like a sudden shift—it is a massive, distinctly Western-style property. The environment is truly lovely. The gardens, especially the Pan Men scenic area right next door, are a total highlight and provide such a peaceful setting. Inside, the hotel is grand and spacious, with a fantastic breakfast buffet that strikes a great balance between traditional Chinese and Western options. However, the sheer scale of the place makes it feel a bit impersonal. It’s so spread out that I actually found it confusing to navigate the hallways. Also, be aware that you are pretty isolated here; you’ll need a taxi to get to almost anywhere of interest in the city. I was also disappointed by the room amenities. For a hotel of this caliber, it was strange to find no coffee machine and an empty mini-bar—it felt like a missing touch. Overall, I’m giving it 5 stars because there wasn’t anything actually wrong with our stay; everything was clean and well-maintained, but it definitely lacked that cozy, personal atmosphere I usually prefer.

📍Location: InterContinental Nanjing 🚪Check-in Experience: Check-in was surprisingly fast! The staff were incredibly attentive and proactively upgraded our room! ✅The room's layout is unique; you take an elevator to the 45th floor, then switch to a private elevator to your room – it adds a real sense of occasion! - 🔖Room amenities are top-notch: biodegradable Julius Meinl coffee capsules, a Bose sound system, a Dyson hairdryer – every detail is well thought out! The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the panoramic floor-toceiling windows offer an absolutely stunning view from the 67th floor. You get an unobstructed view of Xuanwu Lake and the city skyline, and you can watch Nanjing's sunrise and sunset right from your bed 🌇 - 🍴HORIZON CAFÉ All-Day Dining on the 45th Floor The breakfast buffet is divine! There's such a wide variety it's hard to choose: ✅Chinese food lovers rejoice: freshly made Nanjing-style duck blood and vermicelli soup, various noodles, stir-fries, congee and soups, as well as fried dough sticks, steamed buns, and dim sum – it's like a taste of old Nanjing. ✅Western food fans will be satisfied: toast, desserts, salads, cold cuts, and freshly ground coffee. ✅There are also fried foods, miso soup, fried rice, and many other options – you could eat from morning until noon without having the same thing twice! 🌇Observation Deck on the 45th Floor Head straight to the observation deck after breakfast! The expansive terrace offers panoramic views, allowing you to take in both the bustling prosperity of Nanjing city and the tranquil beauty of Xuanwu Lake. When the sun shines, it's perfect for photos, every shot looks like a masterpiece 📸 If you're visiting Nanjing during the Qingming holiday, choosing this hotel is definitely the right decision! The high-altitude views, attentive service, and amazing breakfast truly elevate the happiness of your Nanjing trip. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanjing!

If I had to pick a hotel by Suzhou's Jinji Lake, the Crowne Plaza Suzhou would definitely be my top choice. My stay here can be summed up in two words: completely hassle-free. You don't have to worry about the location – it's right in the heart of the lakefront area. You don't have to wonder about the view – Jinji Lake and the Gate of the Orient are right outside your window. And you certainly don't have to stress about the service – every staff member is well-trained, making you feel truly at home. The hotel's cruise ship theme is incredibly distinctive; from the exterior to the interior, there are so many photo-worthy spots, and the evening lighting is simply the icing on the cake. The room's cleanliness was reassuring, with every detail meticulously handled. The bedding was high-quality, soft, warm, and wonderfully cozy, ensuring a truly restful sleep. The bathroom toiletries had a sophisticated scent, and the shower pressure was excellent, washing away the day's fatigue. The breakfast selection and quality were both satisfying – a good meal sets you up for a good day of exploring. The hotel is surrounded by mature amenities, making dining, shopping, and leisurely strolls incredibly convenient. All in all, this is a hotel with virtually no downsides. Whether you're on a family vacation or a business trip, you're guaranteed an excellent experience. Highly recommended! ⭐🍉

Our stay at the hotel was super comfortable. What we loved most was the breakfast – it runs until 12 PM, so there's no need to rush in the morning, which is incredibly thoughtful. The hotel is also surrounded by plenty of dining and entertainment options, making getting around a breeze. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room itself was cozy and inviting, with soft bedding and well-appointed furnishings. We'll definitely choose this hotel again next time we're in the area!

My birthday stay at Kempinski Nanjing was a luxurious yet cozy experience from start to finish. The room was elegant and comfortable, with exquisite German design that felt grand. The panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered expansive views, the bedding was soft and gentle on the skin, and the bathroom featured a wet/dry separation with premium toiletries. The Executive Lounge was a delightful surprise: quiet and private, it offered coffee, soft drinks, and delicate refreshments all day. The Happy Hour spread was extensive, featuring local Nanjing specialties like salted duck, Western hot dishes, and freshly mixed cocktails. It was uncrowded and serene, with attentive service, making the dining experience far exceed my expectations. The birthday decorations were exceptionally thoughtful: after communicating in advance, the room was adorned with rose petals, a cute teddy bear, and I also received a delicate birthday cake and a handwritten card. Dear Lynn coordinated everything throughout, paying attention to every detail, making it a truly special occasion. The hotel's service is professional and attentive, and its location is convenient, making it a top choice for a high-end stay in the heart of Nanjing.

Hotel near Slender West Lake Tourist District,Yangzhou 72.6% of visitors choose this area

My two-day trip to Yangzhou was made special by my stay at this hotel. I had requested a quiet room, and the hotel upgraded me from the 'Shanyue' (Mountain View) to the 'Shuiyue' (Water View) building. I didn't hear any announcements from the Qiyuan restaurant during breakfast, which was great. The Shanyue building would be lovely in spring with its lush greenery. The Shuiyue room overlooked the sunken sofa area. It wasn't as large as rooms in Building 18, but the overall experience was still very good. Bulgari toiletries, a well-stocked minibar, and a welcome fruit platter were all standard. There was a bathtub, but bath bags weren't provided – you need to ask for them. We received hot spring tickets but didn't get a chance to use them. Turndown service was available, and you could choose your 'goodnight' amenity via their WeChat official account. I opted for a 'mystery box' but it was forgotten, so I had to call the front desk later to have it delivered. A big thank you to the auntie who delivered our order late at night! Each room gets two Häagen-Dazs ice cream scoops. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but the food was tasty, especially the San Ding Bao – absolutely delicious! The lemon tart was also amazing; I haven't had dessert in a while, and this really impressed me. We originally planned to visit Slender West Lake on our second day, but we couldn't wake up early enough, and by the time we went later, it was packed with people. So, we decided to just explore the hotel instead. The hotel is actually part of Slender West Lake, and you can see parts of it from the hotel grounds. It was quite pleasant to walk around and avoid the crowds. The front desk also provides feed for the koi and swans, so we took the shuttle between buildings to feed the little animals. At check-out, I even customized a room card to keep as a souvenir. My only regret was not being able to celebrate my birthday at the Mountain Restaurant because I didn't make a reservation in advance. My two-day Yangzhou trip didn't involve many planned activities, mostly just city walks through a few streets. But those streets were so crowded, taxis were hard to get, and shared electric bikes were either broken or out of battery – I was exhausted! The best part was definitely relaxing at the hotel. The hotel experience was a perfect 100! I'd love to come back again.

Extremely satisfied with this relaxing getaway! The environment is exceptionally serene, and the outdoor landscaping and water features are very elegant. You could easily stay around the hotel without feeling bored. Nearby, there's Langshan Scenic Area and Binjiang Park, both within walking distance, making it perfect for a leisurely holiday or a wellness retreat. Membership offers a lot of discounts, including on dining. When I added breakfast separately, the hotel automatically applied a discount, which was very generous. The dining prices are all very reasonable, and the food is delicious. The front desk and concierge staff, both the young men and women, provided excellent service, offering friendly reminders about various things. Elise from guest relations was also wonderful; she called a day in advance and noted a room upgrade, and when I arrived, the front desk already had it arranged. I'll definitely be coming back here for future Chinese New Year holidays.

Stumbled upon this hotel, saw the price was good, so I booked it. Only found out upon check-in that this is the tallest building in Wuxi. The subway station is right downstairs, and Xiao Lou Alley is just across the street. Getting around is super convenient. The hotel's ground-floor entrance isn't very obvious; I walked around a bit before finding it and initially thought it was an office building lobby. I went in and asked, and that's when I learned the hotel's front desk is on the 43rd floor. Taking the express elevator made my ears pop a bit. The room was great, the view was nice, and it was clean. The complimentary soft drinks from the minibar for Trip.com members and the welcome fruit from the hotel were a thoughtful touch. I had read reviews mentioning poor soundproofing and was worried it might affect my sleep, but it turned out to be very quiet. Check-out was also very fast; I just handed in the room card and left. Overall, it was a very good experience. I'd definitely stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel for my birthday and had such a great experience. They upgraded me to a suite, which was clean, beautiful and incredibly spacious. When I arrived, they had a thoughtful birthday setup waiting for me, complete with a cake and a sweet “Happy Birthday” display, which I truly appreciated. They also gave me lovely souvenirs from the city, which was such a nice touch. The staff were warm, helpful and always ready to assist. Breakfast was included and offered a good variety of Western options. The view from the room was amazing and made the stay even more special. The location is also very convenient, right next to a plaza with plenty of food options to choose from. I would absolutely stay here again.

GGuest UserThe only downside to the room was the lack of windows, which made it a bit stuffy. However, the overall ambiance was lovely, and my child really enjoyed the atmosphere. Breakfast was good too, though seating was limited. It was quite crowded even on a weekday, so I imagine it'd be a long queue for breakfast on weekends. The videos I took look great, but the screenshots don't quite do it justice.

GGuest UserExcellent service, we received a free room upgrade. The hotel was spotless, and attention to detail was impeccable. The atmosphere was elegant, and breakfast was abundant. From its location, design, and cleanliness to the quality of service, this hotel is truly faultless. It offers incredible value for money, and my stay far exceeded expectations. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou! It's right next to Nanhe North Road Station on Metro Line 5, making it incredibly convenient to get around. A short walk takes you to the vibrant Shiquan Street and the exquisite Master of the Nets Garden, and a taxi ride to Pingjiang Road or Guanqian Street costs just the minimum fare. The hotel is located above the Hanyu Square mall, which has everything you could need for dining, entertainment, and shopping, truly offering 'urban convenience with tranquil living'.

GGuest UserAt the Kimpton Bamboo Grove Suzhou, I experienced what 'service before check-in' truly means. Our butler, Vickey, proactively reached out via WeChat even before our arrival, meticulously inquiring about our arrival time and preferences. This kind of thoughtful, pre-emptive care instantly put us at ease. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly surprised to find our room on the top floor (the third floor), cleverly avoiding any potential noise from the park and offering both excellent privacy and views. The hotel's facilities seamlessly blend the charm of Jiangnan gardens with modern luxury. In the room, the mini-bar was complimentary for the first round and meticulously restocked daily by the butler, offering a full range of soft drinks and local specialty snacks. The daily complimentary fresh seasonal fruits, whether it was bayberries or Cuiguan pears, truly embodied the spirit of Suzhou. What impressed me most was the 'sense of proportion' in the service – the butler was never intrusive, yet the morning weather reminders and evening inquiries about adjusting the air conditioning temperature were always perfectly timed. The hot spring pool and dry sauna in the changing rooms by the swimming pool further enhanced the relaxed vacation vibe. There was no forced flattery here, only a subtle, comforting attentiveness that caters to travelers' needs – a true haven for those who understand what makes a great trip.

JjenniferfangThis trip was a family outing. I brought my in-laws to Suzhou to celebrate their birthday a bit early, so I specifically looked for a historic building with a Suzhou garden style. I booked three rooms and contacted the hotel to arrange two ground-floor rooms with courtyards. The hotel even thoughtfully prepared a birthday cake for my mother and offered turn-down service with a light soup in the evening. The restaurant was also good. We initially considered dining there on the first night but weren't sure about the dishes. After breakfast the next day, we decisively had lunch at the restaurant, and both elders thoroughly enjoyed it! The hotel's arrangements for coming and going were also very well-managed. This trip's food and accommodation were both excellent. A truly great hotel!

GGuest UserWe booked a private family room, and the housekeeper, Ms. Zhou, checked us in and took us to the guest room. The room has a large bed and a small bed. The bathing pool is in the yard. If you need to soak in the hot spring, just tell Ms. Zhou and she will happily come over and help fill the hot spring water. She is a very nice person. I really like her. No. I had to go to the public hot springs to soak with others, it was very comfortable. I also went to Nanshan Bamboo Sea. The air was very good. I had a very good accommodation experience this time. I will go there often in the future!

GGuest UserPros: 1. The room was spacious and exactly as depicted in the photos, with seemingly new facilities. 2. Prompt service. After finding mold in the first room, they quickly moved us and provided two fruit platters (for three guests). When we later discovered dirty sheets and a sagging mattress in the second room, they addressed it promptly. Cons: 1. Poor hygiene. The wainscoting behind the bed in the room was severely moldy, which housekeeping surprisingly missed and still assigned to guests (housekeeping claimed the previous guest hadn't mentioned it). The remote control was covered in dust, the sheets weren't clean, and there were foreign objects on the bed. 2. Inadequate facility maintenance. The hot water temperature was low and water pressure was weak. There was a slight odor seeping from the bathroom exhaust fan, possibly cigarette smoke from another room. The mattress was severely sagging, causing back pain. 3. Significant noise pollution. The air conditioning unit made abnormal noises, with an intermittent 'chirping' sound from the internal fan. There was continuous hammering noise from nearby subway construction.

RRemilyWe were happy with our stay here. The room was nicer than it looked online, and the hotel was really clean. There are playrooms for young children that are free (3 rooms with some different toys in each room). The rooms are a bit old and tired, but my 2 year old enjoyed playing there and requested UK hi back lots of times. For parents it is just great to have somewhere for your kid to play and have fun, especially as the weather was very cold when we went! Outside there is a play area and sand digging pit. Location is walking distance from Tongli old town. Restaurant does evening buffet, and buffet breakfast. The food is fine, more Chinese than western, my husband really liked it and my favourite part was the Beijing roast duck at dinner. The pool is warm, with floats and rubber rings to borrow. There is a little land train, it takes a 10 minute trip around the hotel grounds and the cost is 20RMB for one adult and child. For me it was very boring but my son loved it 😂 The staff are very warm and friendly, everyone is very professional. Each guest is connected to a butler on wechat before they arrive so you can easily send a message and get some help. Our butler is Yu Ting and she helped us very professionally. For me, the things the hotel can improve are (1) the animal petting zoo - by western standard the facilities for the animals are not very good, just concrete enclosure with hut. For foreigners, we do not really like this. (2) We had a problem with the other guests smoking in the hotel, eg in the coffee bar. When I complained to the staff they tried to stop the guests, but even though they repeatedly reminded them to stop, the other guests continued. In the end they arranged for me to move to a private room near the bar where I could avoid the smoking. I was very grateful that they found a solution for me and my baby, but I am speechless there are such guests who flagrantly break the rules and the hotel cannot stop them. We smelled smoke in some different public areas, so maybe this is a problem with several guests 🙁 Overall we are happy with our stay and it is a good place to spend a few days with kids.

GGuest UserFacilities: The modern garden design is so refreshing! I had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. There's even a bathtub in the courtyard, perfect for a soak after exploring the attractions – it instantly makes you feel incredibly comfortable! The only slight awkwardness was the rather transparent design of the bathroom and shower area, even for an old married couple. Service: I really have to rave about this! I honestly think this hotel could be a destination in itself! You could easily spend an entire day here and be perfectly happy! The hotel takes great care of every guest. They offer sweet soup in the afternoon, and different healing programs at various times, like mindfulness and tea ceremonies. Time really seems to slow down here, and it's genuinely relaxing, both mind and body. I absolutely loved it and will definitely come back specifically for this hotel next time!
