The room offer nice view of the Chinese Garden courtyard that enhance the experience of living in perhaps ancient China traditional house. The breakfast is average, with something for everyone but nothing to shout about. The housekeeper are very diligent and ensure rooms are spotless tho dated in in room facilities like lacking smart lighting and water tap from the 80s - not so easy to operate. But the whole compound and atmosphere, daily free Taiji, hanfu experience - for one pax, in my opinion makes up for the imperfections

This was my first time in Yangzhou, and I'm so glad I booked this Mercure hotel. From the moment I walked in, all the staff were incredibly warm and polite. The hotel is conveniently located right by Dongguan Street, making it easy to get around, and there's parking available downstairs if you're driving. We were even given a complimentary room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise! The upgraded room had an amazing view; I could see the Grand Canal directly from the balcony. The room also had many thoughtful little touches, like a toilet seat cover and face towels. After checking out, I accidentally left something behind, and the hotel proactively called me and arranged to mail it back. My overall experience with both Yangzhou and the Mercure hotel was absolutely fantastic!

I was very impressed with the service at Shangri-La. My family and I stayed there twice, and they even upgraded our second room. What really stood out were the excellent water pressure in the shower and the super quiet central air conditioning, which shows the hotel's dedication to engineering. The attention to detail truly reflects its old-brand, five-star status. A special thank you to our butler, Ada, who prepared a baby cot and children's amenities in advance, and thoughtfully provided extra bottled water for making formula. The concierge service was also exceptional, making travel much easier. They pre-registered our license plate, saving us the hassle of scanning QR codes repeatedly for entry and exit. Late check-out and welcome fruit are, of course, standard for a five-star hotel. The Jiangnan灶 restaurant downstairs is one of only two Black Pearl + Michelin restaurants in Nanjing. It gets fully booked, so reservations are a must. The hotel greatly catered to our family trip, as we prefer not to plan too much. The 360-degree Jinling view from the helipad is stunning, and the location is convenient – just a tunnel away from Hongshan Forest Zoo. Plus, there's a wide variety of famous takeout options nearby. All in all, the hotel's quality is guaranteed, and the management is well-organized. The experience was truly great, and I'll definitely choose Shangri-La again on my next visit to Nanjing!

My overall experience during this stay was just average. The hotel's facilities were decent, but the service had significant shortcomings. During check-in, the front desk staff seemed unprofessional while checking my personal and identity information. They asked too many questions in an abrupt manner, lacking necessary explanations and communication, which made me feel my personal privacy wasn't fully respected. The waiting time was also quite long, as the staff seemed unfamiliar with the system, repeatedly verifying the same information and affecting the efficiency of the check-in process. As a guest, I understand that hotels need to verify identity information according to regulations. However, I hope the staff can receive better training to improve their service attitude and professionalism while ensuring compliance. They should explain the reasons and procedures for identity checks to guests to reduce unnecessary concerns. I hope the hotel addresses this issue and further optimizes the check-in experience.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. There are plenty of supermarkets, shops, and snack bars nearby. The front desk staff are incredibly kind and polite, handling check-ins and check-outs very efficiently. They were also patient and thorough when answering all my questions. The room was spotless, with no unpleasant odors, and all the toiletries were well-stocked. The mattress was just right, not too soft and not too hard, and the pillows were really comfortable. The common areas were clean and bright, and the overall environment was quiet and elegant. For its price point, the value for money is outstanding. The breakfast was also fantastic and delicious, offering a mix of Chinese and Western options, including freshly made wontons and noodles. I would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit.

The hotel facilities are relatively new, and the overall hygiene is good, though some nooks and crannies could use more attention. The room had a lot of drawers, which felt a bit excessive; most travelers probably wouldn't use them much, and shelves might be more practical. The highlight here, though, is definitely the staff. Every single person was incredibly friendly – not overly enthusiastic, but genuinely helpful. You could approach anyone, and they'd assist you with your issues as if you were just chatting with a friend. I highly recommend staying here.

The location is excellent! It's right by the hotel entrance, just turn right from Exit 6 of Xinjiekou Subway Station. The Asia Pacific Tower is quite new, and the breakfast offers a great selection of Nanjing local specialties. The staff are very service-oriented; they greet guests whenever they encounter them around the hotel. Although Jinling Hotel primarily caters to business travelers, it's also a good choice for family trips. What really impressed me was when we were waiting for staff to get a souvenir stamp, the manager specially gave the children cute sycamore leaf pendants and fridge magnets, which made them very happy! They also provide bed rails and children's toiletries, which is a big plus for families. Guests staying at the hotel also get a 15% discount when dining at Meiyuan Restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel.

When I booked, I saw that it was a newly opened hotel, so I thought it would be pretty good. And it definitely exceeded my expectations. Several young men were there to help us as soon as we entered, and the manager helped us upstairs, opened the door, and carried our luggage. Most importantly, the room didn't have that unpleasant smell of new renovations; even the elevator smelled nice. The room was also much more spacious than other hotels in the same price range, clean and comfortable. We had a very comfortable stay, and both adults and children were very satisfied with the breakfast. In short, it was truly excellent and fantastic. There were some services we didn't get to experience this time due to time constraints, but I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time I have the chance. The pictures were taken before check-out. I sincerely recommend it, hence this positive review. I hope it continues to be this good.

The location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around. The room design is superb, elegant, and comfortable, with a breathtaking view of the city. What pleasantly surprised me most was that the hotel's toiletries were from the top Spanish spa brand, NaturaBissé – the rosemary and white tea shampoo was absolutely amazing! Additionally, the front desk staff were very warm and helpful, especially Jason, who answered many of our questions. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

I had a wonderful experience with my 1 year old son at the intercontinental. Because it was his first birthday the hotel decorated the room for him and I’m really appreciative of that. The room was clean and spacious, Room service was good and the staff really went out of their way to help and accommodate us. I wish they had children’s menu to make things better when traveling with a baby. However, the hotel did help me by making vegetable sides for my child. I’ve stayed at this hotel countless times and I’d recommend it to anyone. Happy New Year 🎆

YYunxiaochengI booked the Nanyuan Hotel for my parents, and they raved about it! Not only did they receive detailed explanations, but the service was also incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The environment is elegant and refined. You can experience the charm of a Jiangnan garden without even leaving the hotel. This old-school state guesthouse definitely still lives up to its reputation. They stayed in a newly renovated building (Building 8), and there were no signs of outdated facilities; it felt more like a brand-new hotel. It truly caters to diverse preferences. Thank you, Nanyuan Hotel, for giving my parents such a unique experience!

GGuest UserPros: 1. The front desk staff were very enthusiastic, whether it was check-in or check-out, everything was great. 2. Good location. 3. The TV has international channels. Cons: 1. The breakfast was indeed disappointing. Not only was there limited variety, but the taste was very mediocre. Especially the two boiled eggs I took were undercooked, and clearly not meant to be eaten raw. Also, several people who seemed to be chefs were chatting loudly, although the waitstaff were all fine. 2. The room door and the bed were only separated by a gauze screen, so soundproofing was poor, and noises from outside the door were clearly audible. 3. The air conditioner vent was directly facing the bed and sofa, and I'm not used to cold air blowing directly on me. 4. The pond outside the balcony was quite poor, as shown in the picture. 5. My car's Sentry Mode detected that flyers were put on it overnight. 6. Regular toilet, no bidet.

GGuest User## Environment: The hotel is located right by the Qinhuai River, so you step out straight into scenic views – it's beautiful, there's great food, and a lively atmosphere. We booked a street-view room, which admittedly was a bit noisier, but we had such packed days that we slept soundly every night, so it wasn't a major issue. ## Room: The room included complimentary fruit upon check-in, two facial masks daily, and small drinks in the mini-bar. The lighting in the room was a bit dim; it would have been much better if there was a brighter main light or a desk lamp. ## Service: I really want to commend the service. Even before we checked in, the hotel called to ask if we needed to reserve a parking spot and our approximate check-in time. They proactively sent the hotel's location to ensure we wouldn't have trouble finding it in the scenic area, which was very thoughtful. After we checked out and left, we realized at the airport that I had lost my bracelet. I contacted the hotel to help check the room, and the staff were incredibly efficient and diligent in finding it. They quickly arranged for it to be couriered to my home. I am truly, truly grateful – it brought a perfect end to my Nanjing trip! 🌹

MMD2024This time, I stayed at Mo Keyuan from August 14th to 15th. When I was choosing a hotel, I was quite surprised to see Mo Keyuan had nothing but glowing reviews. After staying there, I realized that both its facilities and service are indeed exceptional. **Ambiance & Location:** In terms of its location, it's merely 50 meters from Pingjiang Road, and within comfortable walking distance of Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum. It's also nestled in the same alley as the famous Zhuo Lin Li Tang Zhou (a traditional dessert shop), just 20-30 meters away, and shares an adjacent alley with Couple's Retreat Garden. This geographical positioning is simply superb! The hotel itself is a numbered private garden with five interconnected courtyards, boasting exquisite rockeries, ponds, and bridges. Its design is incredibly intricate, offering distinct scenic views with every turn. Guanhuatang, a key hall, is the central room in the innermost of these five courtyards. The front desk is located in the first courtyard, exuding an antique charm. Upon entering the second courtyard, you're greeted by a misty, ethereal atmosphere, providing a refreshing coolness on hot days and adding a wonderful artistic touch. The third courtyard houses the banquet hall, while the fourth and fifth are dedicated to guest rooms. In reality, this compound is far more complex than it appears, with the unique asymmetrical structure typical of Suzhou gardens revealing many delightful surprises. **Cleanliness:** Everywhere I looked was impeccably clean. Unlike other Chinese courtyards I've stayed in, at Mo Keyuan, all areas (except guest rooms and staff offices) are openly accessible. Furthermore, the furniture inside is exceptionally well-maintained and clean, giving the impression that they are actively used daily. The rooms were subtly pre-scented with incense, and the bathrooms were also spotless. **Facilities:** Mo Keyuan boasts comprehensive facilities, offering both dining options and captivating Pingtan (Suzhou storytelling and ballad singing) performances. Guests can enjoy these performances for free, held in a charming small hall in the second courtyard, which serves as both a restaurant and a performance venue. The performance hall is very well-equipped, featuring background projection and automatic stage curtains, truly showing great attention to detail. Furthermore, before checking in, I was somewhat concerned about security. However, upon arrival, I found that the visitor and guest areas are effectively separated by access control, ensuring both privacy and safety. **Service:** The service was incredibly attentive. The butler was always ready to answer any questions and had an excellent, friendly attitude. Every staff member had a great service attitude and was remarkably patient. Due to a last-minute change in our itinerary, we only decided quite late that we wanted to have lunch at Mo Keyuan the next day. However, the butler arranged it perfectly, and we got to savor the Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and Crab Roe Tofu we had hoped for. The hotel's shuttle service was even more convenient, saving us precious time and effort when visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Lion Grove Garden. We also had the pleasure of meeting the garden owner this time, who was very approachable and clearly poured their heart and soul into managing this exquisite garden. **Daily Pingtan Performance (2 Tickets):** The Pingtan performance was excellent. The young lady sang beautifully and spoke with such gentle grace; experiencing the 'Wu Nong Soft Language' (Suzhou dialect) live was truly delightful. The performance also included complimentary Biluochun tea and homemade mung bean cakes, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I'm extremely glad I chose Mo Keyuan this time. My only regret is not being able to stay an extra night to spend half a day simply wandering around the garden, sipping tea, watching the fish, and relaxing – that would have been utterly tranquil and perfect.

GGuest UserFrom the moment me and mom arrived, this hotel delivered an exceptional experience that felt both luxurious and deeply personal. What truly sets this place apart is the level of care and attention from the staff. Every interaction was warm and genuine—they go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. A special thank you to the male manager and the wonderful supervisor, Ms. Qian, whose professionalism and kindness made my stay especially memorable. The location is unbeatable—right inside the famous Shantang Street—making it incredibly convenient for exploring and perfect for capturing beautiful photos. Even within the hotel itself, the elegant garden-style interior creates a serene, picturesque setting that feels like stepping into a traditional Chinese painting. What I loved most was the hotel’s dedication to preserving and showcasing authentic Chinese cultural elements. From the subtle fragrance of seal incense to the presence of calligraphy details, every corner reflects a thoughtful commitment to tradition and artistry. The room was immaculate, offering a perfect retreat after a day of exploring. The bed linens were exceptionally soft and comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep. Overall, this hotel is a rare gem—combining outstanding service, cultural richness, and a prime location. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable stay.

It offers great value for money and was a very pleasant stay. Highly recommended. Nanjing isn't that great, but this hotel is absolutely wonderful! GGuest UserThe place is beautiful. The rooms/cottages of the hotel are spread around a nice area. There is a vegetable garden and kids could feed the goats and rabbit. My kids loved the hotel and the room. Front desk gave us kids slippers and toothbrushes and a bag full of treats and snacks for the kids. Beds were very comfortable and the family room was beautiful with a balcony looking to the canal. Black swans swimming in there. The private outside hot bathtub was cool. They gave us some activity tickets (kids cookies baking, two free coffee cups and free entrance to the park beside), sadly we couldn’t use them, because we came noon and went to visit a different area , then left the next day after breakfast. The outside hotel surroundings are nice and peaceful. The food was great! Breakfast buffet is delicious. I would recommend it. There was a staff speaking English, but was not necessary for us. The service is very good and friendly…I’ll return.

GGuest UserThe rooms are great value, considering the amount of hotel in downtown area. However, since the building is old and the rooms are also old, some things are needed of a refresher. Some of the tiles are out of place, some are taped, the room carpets are not clean. But the bathroom is exceptional good functional and clean. Considering the price I will take it without skipping a beat, you just have to adjust the expectations
