We were lured to this hotel through recommendation of influencers that boast this hotel with it's majestic look of that looking like a Chinese traditional castle. Although the location is not quite what we really like as it is about 8-10mins walking from the nearest Metro Station (Nanmen Metro) but the price was quite affordable and enticing that we decided to give it a try. The hotel facade does looks magnificant, grand and big from afar, the interior is huge and traditionally well-kept even though the design looks a bit dated but I find that it stays classy and traditional that way. We were assigned to one of the furthest room all the way to the back at 5069. The walk was quite long since it was all the way at the back. Room is definitely big and allow opening of luggages all at one go. The amenities given was sufficient, except they can improve by giving more shower bath gel and shampoo as the small bottles was not enough. Was also hoping they could have install international plugs for their international guest being an international hotel chain as well. Their staffs were polite and professional. Woudl recommend anyone coming to Suzhou to give this hotel one shot at least! The most important thing is the hotel stay comes with complimentary park access which is connected at the back of the hotel which would cost RMB40 if you were to pay to go in! Worth it!

The facilities are complete, comfortable, and classy. The housekeeping staff does an excellent job, and the front desk service is very warm and professional. The hotel's overall management is excellent, with guides at every crossroads. There are shuttle buses within the park, and they even arrange a fun garden morning tea, hot springs, and travel photography. Every day, they deliver Yangda yogurt, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. The hotel's environment is first-class, complementing the beauty of Slender West Lake. It's great for morning exercises within the hotel, with birds singing and flowers blooming, black swans gliding, and views of pavilions, bridges over flowing water, ancient trees, and lush green lawns. This was our first time visiting Yangzhou, and we felt the charm of a historical city and the warmth of the Welcome Hotel. Winter travel in Yangzhou is peaceful and has a unique charm. We will definitely visit again.

I requested a quiet, non-smoking room, and the hotel accommodated it perfectly. It was mostly convenient, except for having to switch elevators to pick up takeout, which was a bit of a hassle. They provided a children's playpen and toiletries for kids. The view was absolutely amazing and unbeatable.

The hotel's location is superb, right in Xinjiekou, Nanjing's city center, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The wide-open space in front of the hotel makes getting around very easy. Plus, the surrounding area is beautiful and truly captures the essence of Nanjing! The breakfast offers local Nanjing specialties, including Huaiyang cuisine! We really appreciate the hotel's efficient and convenient butler service, which made us feel right at home. Duncan at the front desk was meticulous and thoughtful. Jinling Hotel's service is top-notch – incredibly detailed, luxurious, and comfortable, making us feel pampered! ❤️ The hotel facilities include an excellent pool, spa, and restaurant. The room decor is exquisite, and the environment is elegant, making for a very comfortable and relaxing overall experience. 😎 We'll definitely be back in the summer! A big thank you to Duncan for his service!

This was my first time visiting Suzhou, and after a lot of comparison, I chose this hotel. It exceeded my expectations! The subway station is right outside the entrance, making it super convenient to get around. Humble Administrator's Garden is also just a kilometer away, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. They help with luggage, and the fully automated smart features are very impressive. The robot food delivery also made me feel quite secure. Service attitude was top-notch, and the housekeeping staff were very diligent. When I returned, I found the room spotless, everything that needed changing was changed, and the floor was even mopped. Any issues were promptly resolved, leaving me with a truly great impression. I've already saved this hotel on Ctrip, and I'll definitely choose it again next time I'm in Suzhou! On a side note, the steamed bun shop by the entrance is incredibly delicious. I really loved their buns, and the lady who runs it is also super nice! 🥰

I booked a suite before the Chinese New Year, and for our family of three, being together is what the holiday is all about! When we arrived, the front desk offered us a discounted upgrade and waived the extra bed fee, which was a pleasant surprise! So we upgraded from a city view to a lake view, perfect! The front desk even asked if we preferred more lake view or more view of the Gate of the Orient, allowing us to choose a room with such precision, which was great! After checking in, I was very satisfied with the room's size, facilities, and view, especially the two bathrooms and two balconies. The scenery was truly beautiful, and we even caught two nights of fountain shows. Overall, we were very pleased. Perhaps the suite had just been renovated, as the bathrooms and decor were quite new, and we didn't encounter any issues like outdated facilities or poor soundproofing that I'd seen in other reviews. There was a slight new-decoration smell in the room, but they provided an air purifier, and as soon as it was on, the smell disappeared. Oh, one thing: the air conditioning didn't seem to adjust. On the first day, it was over 20 degrees Celsius outside, and the room temperature stayed at 25-26 degrees, which was a bit warm. Maybe I just didn't know how to use it? My parents went for breakfast early and said the variety was quite rich and the food was delicious. After eating, we took some photos at the hotel, and when it wasn't raining, we strolled around Jinji Lake nearby. In the afternoon, we went to Suzhou Center across the street to shop and have dinner. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.

Hotel near Xuanwu Lake Scenic Area/Jiming Temple,Nanjing
GGuest User 2026.02.18
This is my third time staying at InterContinental Nanjing, and the view is still great. This time, I got a complimentary upgrade to a room on the 68th floor, but it didn't face Xuanwu Lake, which was a bit disappointing. The furniture in the room is a little dated, understandable since the hotel has been open for 15 years. I felt the central air conditioning was too hot, especially in winter; even with the small side window, it felt a bit stuffy. Perhaps they could consider better temperature and humidity control, like adding humidifiers. There was some dust in the corner of the bedside table, and the toilet in the bathroom was an older model. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special, and the bacon wasn't well-cooked – that needs improvement. I remember having a fantastic dinner buffet at the InterContinental during National Day in '25, where each guest even received a sea cucumber. Compared to dinner, breakfast was significantly less impressive, and the Western pastries were just average. The service, however, was very warm and enthusiastic; they called both before and after my stay and even provided fruit. If you're coming to Nanjing, I'd still recommend it. Nanjing Grand Theatre is next to the hotel, and the Nanjing Impressions restaurant there has great food. There's also an observation deck on the 45th floor where you can use your room key to access the terrace and enjoy the view.

New hotel, friendly staff but is going to be outdated soon. Bad sound proofing , lots of drunk Chinese people shouting in the corridor at night time. The breakfast variety is so poor for Europeans. Please teach your staff in the restaurant to cook sunny side up eggs and refill the dishes without reminding. Overall, it’s not “real Hilton” experience.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

1110286****Traveling with my in-laws and child for New Year's Day, I had requested connecting rooms online in advance. The hotel thoughtfully upgraded one of our rooms to meet our needs. The hotel boasts an elegant environment and excellent service. They even called us before our arrival, worried we might have trouble finding the place. We stayed for two nights, and they even refilled the mini-bar drinks for free – truly impressive! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Nanjing!

MMD2024This time, I stayed at Mo Keyuan from August 14th to 15th. When I was choosing a hotel, I was quite surprised to see Mo Keyuan had nothing but glowing reviews. After staying there, I realized that both its facilities and service are indeed exceptional. **Ambiance & Location:** In terms of its location, it's merely 50 meters from Pingjiang Road, and within comfortable walking distance of Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum. It's also nestled in the same alley as the famous Zhuo Lin Li Tang Zhou (a traditional dessert shop), just 20-30 meters away, and shares an adjacent alley with Couple's Retreat Garden. This geographical positioning is simply superb! The hotel itself is a numbered private garden with five interconnected courtyards, boasting exquisite rockeries, ponds, and bridges. Its design is incredibly intricate, offering distinct scenic views with every turn. Guanhuatang, a key hall, is the central room in the innermost of these five courtyards. The front desk is located in the first courtyard, exuding an antique charm. Upon entering the second courtyard, you're greeted by a misty, ethereal atmosphere, providing a refreshing coolness on hot days and adding a wonderful artistic touch. The third courtyard houses the banquet hall, while the fourth and fifth are dedicated to guest rooms. In reality, this compound is far more complex than it appears, with the unique asymmetrical structure typical of Suzhou gardens revealing many delightful surprises. **Cleanliness:** Everywhere I looked was impeccably clean. Unlike other Chinese courtyards I've stayed in, at Mo Keyuan, all areas (except guest rooms and staff offices) are openly accessible. Furthermore, the furniture inside is exceptionally well-maintained and clean, giving the impression that they are actively used daily. The rooms were subtly pre-scented with incense, and the bathrooms were also spotless. **Facilities:** Mo Keyuan boasts comprehensive facilities, offering both dining options and captivating Pingtan (Suzhou storytelling and ballad singing) performances. Guests can enjoy these performances for free, held in a charming small hall in the second courtyard, which serves as both a restaurant and a performance venue. The performance hall is very well-equipped, featuring background projection and automatic stage curtains, truly showing great attention to detail. Furthermore, before checking in, I was somewhat concerned about security. However, upon arrival, I found that the visitor and guest areas are effectively separated by access control, ensuring both privacy and safety. **Service:** The service was incredibly attentive. The butler was always ready to answer any questions and had an excellent, friendly attitude. Every staff member had a great service attitude and was remarkably patient. Due to a last-minute change in our itinerary, we only decided quite late that we wanted to have lunch at Mo Keyuan the next day. However, the butler arranged it perfectly, and we got to savor the Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and Crab Roe Tofu we had hoped for. The hotel's shuttle service was even more convenient, saving us precious time and effort when visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Lion Grove Garden. We also had the pleasure of meeting the garden owner this time, who was very approachable and clearly poured their heart and soul into managing this exquisite garden. **Daily Pingtan Performance (2 Tickets):** The Pingtan performance was excellent. The young lady sang beautifully and spoke with such gentle grace; experiencing the 'Wu Nong Soft Language' (Suzhou dialect) live was truly delightful. The performance also included complimentary Biluochun tea and homemade mung bean cakes, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I'm extremely glad I chose Mo Keyuan this time. My only regret is not being able to stay an extra night to spend half a day simply wandering around the garden, sipping tea, watching the fish, and relaxing – that would have been utterly tranquil and perfect.

AAnonymous UserI chose to stay at the Qinhuai Renjia Boutique Hotel after reading some reviews. Its location is excellent, right within the Fuzi Miao scenic area, making it super convenient for getting around. The subway is quite close, and it's right next to the Qinhuai River and Bailuzhou Park, plus other attractions are easily accessible. The front desk staff, especially the ladies, were really lovely and enthusiastic. They even gave us a 'half-cooked gift' (presumably a local specialty) and welcome fruits. The hotel also provided afternoon tea and desserts. The only downside was that it was really crowded during the Chinese New Year, so next time I'll definitely try to visit during an off-peak period.

GGuest UserI was drawn to this hotel by its infinity pool and proximity to Tai Lake, but I ended up feeling a bit disappointed. Beyond the Ling Shan Grand Buddha, there isn't much to explore or do in the vicinity, and dining options are quite limited. The infinity pool's water quality was abysmal; it was so murky that my son and I only swam once and never returned. On the plus side, the hotel's overall environment was quite nice and very photogenic. Parking was also convenient for those driving. Plus, the front desk staff even helped us upgrade to a larger room.

MM47127****My top choice for business trips! The hotel is conveniently located, very close to my workplace, saving a lot of commute time. The room has excellent office facilities, with comfortable desk and chair, and stable internet, making work incredibly efficient. The soundproofing is great; you can't hear any noise even in the corridor, ensuring a quiet environment for both work and rest. Check-out supports quick invoicing, the process is smooth, and the service is professional and efficient. It offers much better value for money than other hotels in the same price range. I'll definitely prioritize this hotel for future business travel!

GGuest UserThe place is beautiful. The rooms/cottages of the hotel are spread around a nice area. There is a vegetable garden and kids could feed the goats and rabbit. My kids loved the hotel and the room. Front desk gave us kids slippers and toothbrushes and a bag full of treats and snacks for the kids. Beds were very comfortable and the family room was beautiful with a balcony looking to the canal. Black swans swimming in there. The private outside hot bathtub was cool. They gave us some activity tickets (kids cookies baking, two free coffee cups and free entrance to the park beside), sadly we couldn’t use them, because we came noon and went to visit a different area , then left the next day after breakfast. The outside hotel surroundings are nice and peaceful. The food was great! Breakfast buffet is delicious. I would recommend it. There was a staff speaking English, but was not necessary for us. The service is very good and friendly…I’ll return.

ZZhennandeqingxianA truly perfect stay. The hotel's location is excellent, with easy access to all the major attractions. My recommended one-day itinerary is: Humble Administrator's Garden ➡️ Suzhou Museum ➡️ Lion Grove Garden ➡️ Pingjiang Road. Humble Administrator's Garden and Lion Grove Garden are famous but tend to be very crowded. If you have time, do check out Canglang Pavilion and Master of the Nets Garden – they are beautiful, less crowded, and very close by. In the evening, you could visit Seven Mile Shantang for the night views, but honestly, if you're short on time, just sticking to Pingjiang Road is wonderful. The hotel service was fantastic and it's particularly well-suited for families looking for a customized experience.

YYutongI took my kids from Shanghai on the weekend and chose the Fairmont Yangcheng Lake, a family hotel near Shanghai. I received a call from the hotel's Gold Lounge manager one day in advance, who asked about check-in and needed to arrange it in advance. They provided butler service. After arriving at the hotel, I paid to upgrade to a lake view room with a private balcony and a wide view. The lake view was beautiful and the price-performance ratio was perfect. In addition, the hotel has a wide range of recreational activities, including kayaking, honey bee watching, handicrafts, pottery, etc. I also took my kids to experience honey bee watching on the second day. Under the patient guidance of Sister Ping, the children unlocked a new experience in life and were very happy. It was a very happy two days. I will come again next time!
