We’ve been traveling through China for nearly a month, so pulling up to the Pan Pacific Suzhou felt like a sudden shift—it is a massive, distinctly Western-style property. The environment is truly lovely. The gardens, especially the Pan Men scenic area right next door, are a total highlight and provide such a peaceful setting. Inside, the hotel is grand and spacious, with a fantastic breakfast buffet that strikes a great balance between traditional Chinese and Western options. However, the sheer scale of the place makes it feel a bit impersonal. It’s so spread out that I actually found it confusing to navigate the hallways. Also, be aware that you are pretty isolated here; you’ll need a taxi to get to almost anywhere of interest in the city. I was also disappointed by the room amenities. For a hotel of this caliber, it was strange to find no coffee machine and an empty mini-bar—it felt like a missing touch. Overall, I’m giving it 5 stars because there wasn’t anything actually wrong with our stay; everything was clean and well-maintained, but it definitely lacked that cozy, personal atmosphere I usually prefer.

When choosing a hotel, my top pick is always Shangri-La. Staying at a Shangri-La hotel feels just like home – it's warm, comfortable, and the service is incredibly attentive and top-notch. No matter which Shangri-La property I visit, the service standards are consistently excellent. My recent stay at the Shangri-La Nanjing allowed me to fully rest and relax after a tiring journey, and the culinary offerings were truly delightful. The hotel's ambiance is luxurious yet understated, elegant, and peaceful. The air always carries that distinctive, wonderful scent unique to all Shangri-La hotels, creating a warm, sophisticated, and refined atmosphere. The staff's service attitude is impeccable: polite, genuinely smiling, and thoughtful, all thanks to Shangri-La's thorough and comprehensive training system. In short, Shangri-La hotels are always my first choice for travel.

The views are great, with large floor-to-ceiling windows. The front desk service was pretty good too. Downstairs is the Suning.com Plaza, making shopping, strolling, and dining incredibly convenient. The pedestrian street and food street are also a short walk away. My favorite is the roasted lamb shank at the food street; I make sure to have one every time I visit.

This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right at the entrance of Dongguan Street and next to the bus station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The Ancient Canal boat tours are just across the street. We felt the hotel's great service even before we arrived, as they proactively communicated about our arrival time. When we did get there, the staff were so warm and attentive. Our room package included afternoon tea and breakfast, both of which were excellent. They even provided complimentary fruit and offered late-night snacks. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Despite being right by a bustling area, the room was very quiet, and they even provided earplugs, so I slept wonderfully. I'll definitely be back to this hotel on my next trip to Yangzhou!

📍Location: InterContinental Nanjing 🚪Check-in Experience: Check-in was surprisingly fast! The staff were incredibly attentive and proactively upgraded our room! ✅The room's layout is unique; you take an elevator to the 45th floor, then switch to a private elevator to your room – it adds a real sense of occasion! - 🔖Room amenities are top-notch: biodegradable Julius Meinl coffee capsules, a Bose sound system, a Dyson hairdryer – every detail is well thought out! The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the panoramic floor-toceiling windows offer an absolutely stunning view from the 67th floor. You get an unobstructed view of Xuanwu Lake and the city skyline, and you can watch Nanjing's sunrise and sunset right from your bed 🌇 - 🍴HORIZON CAFÉ All-Day Dining on the 45th Floor The breakfast buffet is divine! There's such a wide variety it's hard to choose: ✅Chinese food lovers rejoice: freshly made Nanjing-style duck blood and vermicelli soup, various noodles, stir-fries, congee and soups, as well as fried dough sticks, steamed buns, and dim sum – it's like a taste of old Nanjing. ✅Western food fans will be satisfied: toast, desserts, salads, cold cuts, and freshly ground coffee. ✅There are also fried foods, miso soup, fried rice, and many other options – you could eat from morning until noon without having the same thing twice! 🌇Observation Deck on the 45th Floor Head straight to the observation deck after breakfast! The expansive terrace offers panoramic views, allowing you to take in both the bustling prosperity of Nanjing city and the tranquil beauty of Xuanwu Lake. When the sun shines, it's perfect for photos, every shot looks like a masterpiece 📸 If you're visiting Nanjing during the Qingming holiday, choosing this hotel is definitely the right decision! The high-altitude views, attentive service, and amazing breakfast truly elevate the happiness of your Nanjing trip. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanjing!

The most, most, most recommended hotel in Suzhou! The young men and women at the front desk were all so gentle and thoughtful, always noticing what we needed. I really love the atmosphere here – it's so quiet and comfortable. The room was very clean, and the facilities were complete, even including a projector! The cleaning auntie was also very enthusiastic, helping us check what needed restocking. When it rained, they even prepared umbrellas for us. They even prepared drinks for us at check-out, in case we got thirsty on the road. This hotel deserves 5 stars!

Staying at the Shangri-La Hotel Yangzhou was an experience enveloped in luxury and comfort from start to finish. The room was spacious and elegant, exuding a grand Chinese aesthetic. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were high-end and fully equipped, with thoughtful details evident throughout. The dining was exquisite, offering authentic and traditional Huaiyang cuisine. The buffet had a rich selection and excellent flavors, ensuring delicious culinary delights from morning till night. The swimming pool offered expansive views and crystal-clear water, in a quiet and upscale environment, making for a truly enjoyable swim. The gym and other amenities were also comprehensive and well-equipped. The service was attentive and thoughtful, making for an overall luxurious and pleasant experience. Whether for a vacation or a business trip, it's an absolutely superb choice. Finally, a special thank you to Guest Services Manager Emma. Centrally located in Xinjiekou, this hotel boasts an excellent location, making it convenient to get around and perfect for shopping! The service is incredibly attentive; Manager Fang from the VIP hotline provided professional and meticulous service with a warm and thoughtful demeanor. She was proactive and thorough throughout, always responding and following up on every detail. Before my stay, Ms. Fang noticed from my social media that I was traveling with a baby and thoughtfully left a message saying she would arrange for children's amenities. These small touches truly made me feel at home at Jinling Hotel, showcasing their high-quality service and leaving a lasting impression. The concierge was also very polite and helpful with luggage. Jinling Hotel will definitely be my top choice for future stays!

The room stood out for its high-tech features, which made the stay more comfortable and convenient. Overall, a good stay with a nice balance of comfort and location. GGuest UserI stayed at the Nanfang Hotel's Building 8, 'Yingjie,' in Suzhou over the weekend. It was just renovated late last year with a new 'Neo-Chinese' decor. As you enter, to your left is a long, open wardrobe and a luggage rack, which were very convenient. Then there's a separate wet and dry vanity area and a bathtub, with a sliding glass door separating the room from the washroom. The room itself was quite spacious, with a round table and a sofa by the window. Outside, lush rockeries and greenery provided a refreshing view, and being able to open the window for ventilation was especially pleasant this time of year. The toiletries were L'Occitane, and there was even a Pantene hair essence capsule with the hairdryer. As for the bedding, the mattress was on the firmer side, so comfort will vary for different people. What was hard to understand were some of the renovation details. The grout lines in the tiles were sloppily done, a clear departure from what you'd expect in a five-star hotel. This was even more noticeable under the sink drain. I'd suggest the hotel add a trash can there; it would both hide the flaw and be convenient for women to discard small items when using the sink. The breakfast overall was good. I recommend the 'red soup noodles with braised pork,' which had an authentic flavor. The fresh pork pan-fried buns were also surprisingly delicious – slightly sweet and very juicy. The hotel's location truly lives up to its five-star reputation. Situated on Shiquan Street, it's incredibly convenient for getting around. Wangshi Garden is right across from the hotel entrance on Chengqiao Road, so you can visit early to avoid the crowds. Plus, many popular eateries on Shiquan Street don't have queues before noon. The surrounding streets like Fenghuang Street, Wuqueqiao Street, Cuku Alley, Chaiyuan, and the small alleys behind Shiquan Street are also perfect for a city walk. Shiquan Street is bustling, but as soon as you enter the hotel, it becomes wonderfully quiet. If you're tired from exploring, you can return to the hotel to stroll around Jiang Weiguo's former residence or other ancient buildings and rock gardens, and enjoy the peaceful, serene atmosphere. If you want to explore the urban area of Suzhou in a short time, Nanfang Hotel is a five-star recommendation.

MMaria.ezI've stayed in many hotels, but this one is truly the best. Staying at the Tonino Lamborghini Hotel in Suzhou isn't just accommodation – it's an unforgettable experience. From the moment you enter, you're greeted by a sense of spaciousness. The design is stunning, using only natural materials like wood and stone – and the materials themselves are very pleasing to the eye and touch. The bed was very soft and comfortable – I slept wonderfully. My room had three panoramic windows overlooking a beautifully wild garden – birds, leaves, stones, all perfectly framed like living art. There was even a dedicated tea-drinking space, which added a deeper layer of calm and ritual to the stay. The bathroom floor is carved from a single piece of natural stone – a pleasure just to walk on. Every amenity you could need is there: lotion, gel, shampoo, conditioner, robes, iron, coffee machine. And surprisingly – a small library in the room. Amazing. The hotel staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. A special shout-out to Nolan, who upgraded us to a studio, guided us to our room, explained everything, helped with luggage, and did it all fast and with a smile. The interiors throughout the hotel are beautiful – paintings, sculptures, retro photos everywhere. Breakfast was outstanding: fresh, smooth, and delicious. The only small note: the swimming pool and gym are a bit compact, but it really didn't matter given everything else. All in all, this was a unique experience that greatly enhanced my Suzhou trip. I'll definitely be coming back.

__CFT010000001094****## Environment: The hotel is located right by the Qinhuai River, so you step out straight into scenic views – it's beautiful, there's great food, and a lively atmosphere. We booked a street-view room, which admittedly was a bit noisier, but we had such packed days that we slept soundly every night, so it wasn't a major issue. ## Room: The room included complimentary fruit upon check-in, two facial masks daily, and small drinks in the mini-bar. The lighting in the room was a bit dim; it would have been much better if there was a brighter main light or a desk lamp. ## Service: I really want to commend the service. Even before we checked in, the hotel called to ask if we needed to reserve a parking spot and our approximate check-in time. They proactively sent the hotel's location to ensure we wouldn't have trouble finding it in the scenic area, which was very thoughtful. After we checked out and left, we realized at the airport that I had lost my bracelet. I contacted the hotel to help check the room, and the staff were incredibly efficient and diligent in finding it. They quickly arranged for it to be couriered to my home. I am truly, truly grateful – it brought a perfect end to my Nanjing trip! 🌹

MMD2024This time, I stayed at Mo Keyuan from August 14th to 15th. When I was choosing a hotel, I was quite surprised to see Mo Keyuan had nothing but glowing reviews. After staying there, I realized that both its facilities and service are indeed exceptional. **Ambiance & Location:** In terms of its location, it's merely 50 meters from Pingjiang Road, and within comfortable walking distance of Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Suzhou Museum. It's also nestled in the same alley as the famous Zhuo Lin Li Tang Zhou (a traditional dessert shop), just 20-30 meters away, and shares an adjacent alley with Couple's Retreat Garden. This geographical positioning is simply superb! The hotel itself is a numbered private garden with five interconnected courtyards, boasting exquisite rockeries, ponds, and bridges. Its design is incredibly intricate, offering distinct scenic views with every turn. Guanhuatang, a key hall, is the central room in the innermost of these five courtyards. The front desk is located in the first courtyard, exuding an antique charm. Upon entering the second courtyard, you're greeted by a misty, ethereal atmosphere, providing a refreshing coolness on hot days and adding a wonderful artistic touch. The third courtyard houses the banquet hall, while the fourth and fifth are dedicated to guest rooms. In reality, this compound is far more complex than it appears, with the unique asymmetrical structure typical of Suzhou gardens revealing many delightful surprises. **Cleanliness:** Everywhere I looked was impeccably clean. Unlike other Chinese courtyards I've stayed in, at Mo Keyuan, all areas (except guest rooms and staff offices) are openly accessible. Furthermore, the furniture inside is exceptionally well-maintained and clean, giving the impression that they are actively used daily. The rooms were subtly pre-scented with incense, and the bathrooms were also spotless. **Facilities:** Mo Keyuan boasts comprehensive facilities, offering both dining options and captivating Pingtan (Suzhou storytelling and ballad singing) performances. Guests can enjoy these performances for free, held in a charming small hall in the second courtyard, which serves as both a restaurant and a performance venue. The performance hall is very well-equipped, featuring background projection and automatic stage curtains, truly showing great attention to detail. Furthermore, before checking in, I was somewhat concerned about security. However, upon arrival, I found that the visitor and guest areas are effectively separated by access control, ensuring both privacy and safety. **Service:** The service was incredibly attentive. The butler was always ready to answer any questions and had an excellent, friendly attitude. Every staff member had a great service attitude and was remarkably patient. Due to a last-minute change in our itinerary, we only decided quite late that we wanted to have lunch at Mo Keyuan the next day. However, the butler arranged it perfectly, and we got to savor the Squirrel-shaped Mandarin Fish and Crab Roe Tofu we had hoped for. The hotel's shuttle service was even more convenient, saving us precious time and effort when visiting the Humble Administrator's Garden, Suzhou Museum, and Lion Grove Garden. We also had the pleasure of meeting the garden owner this time, who was very approachable and clearly poured their heart and soul into managing this exquisite garden. **Daily Pingtan Performance (2 Tickets):** The Pingtan performance was excellent. The young lady sang beautifully and spoke with such gentle grace; experiencing the 'Wu Nong Soft Language' (Suzhou dialect) live was truly delightful. The performance also included complimentary Biluochun tea and homemade mung bean cakes, making it a truly enjoyable experience. I'm extremely glad I chose Mo Keyuan this time. My only regret is not being able to stay an extra night to spend half a day simply wandering around the garden, sipping tea, watching the fish, and relaxing – that would have been utterly tranquil and perfect.

GGuest UserThis hotel, nestled within Shanyuan Street, offers a tranquil escape amidst the bustling crowds. Once inside, it's like a hidden gem with charming pavilions and ponds. The rooms aren't particularly spacious, and some of the amenities are a bit dated – for instance, the TV in one room simply wouldn't turn on. On the upside, the shower pressure was excellent. The Chinese breakfast options were very good, though the Western selection was quite disappointing. They do have their own parking, but getting in and out can be a bit tricky as the alley is quite narrow, which could be an issue for larger vehicles. Overall, I was satisfied with my stay.

GGuest UserQinhuai Renjia Fuzimiao Hotel was such a delightful surprise! ✨ Its location is absolutely superb, right in the heart of the scenic area. Step outside and you're at Fuzimiao (Confucius Temple); open your window and you're greeted with the stunning night views of the Qinhuai River, where you can take in the sights and sounds of boats and lanterns. The architecture is a classic blend of black bricks, gray tiles, and horse-head walls, with elegant corridors and intricate windows, exuding an ancient charm and the graceful ambiance of Jiangnan. The guest rooms are clean and tastefully decorated, combining traditional aesthetics with modern amenities, and the bedding is very comfortable. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, always ready to help with any issues. My experience was fantastic, and staying here is definitely the right choice when visiting Nanjing! KKristi Marconi DahlstromThe resort grounds are beautiful. The room was great with the outside tub. It was very far from town and we could not get a Didi to come there so we had to take a bus to go to splendid west lake. I booked a room that said it came with free flow mini bar, fishing, biking and entry into the wetlands. There was no minibar and when I asked, they brought us two bags of chips and sodas. This is not what I call free flow or a bar. I complained to trip and they eventually sent us a bottle of wine. I never received any info about the fishing or biking, even though I asked. There is no entry fee to the wetlands so I’m not sure why they put this as a perk. Also, the bar out front was closed and the lobby bar only had fruit beer. There was a sign with 20 drinks listed but everything was out. The restaurant was amazing and the most positive experience. Great food and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was awesome. The restaurant had beverages but they do not open until 6 PM. I would not stay here again based on my experience.

BBalabaladamoxianbianshenOverall, it was okay, but the hotel is currently under renovation. If you're someone who works remotely from hotels frequently, you might want to reconsider. The internet speed is just average, which is to be expected from an older hotel. The front desk service was good, and there's even a bird that sings beautifully. Due to the renovations and the somewhat confusing and chaotic interior – clearly the result of multiple businesses iterating in an old office building over a decade – finding the right elevator was a puzzle. The entrances were so confusing that I accidentally ended up in a construction area, then had to navigate a maze to get to the seventh floor and enter through the elevator near the front desk. This was my experience during the renovation, just for everyone's reference. Nanjing is a great travel destination, and I'll definitely visit again.
