We’ve been traveling through China for nearly a month, so pulling up to the Pan Pacific Suzhou felt like a sudden shift—it is a massive, distinctly Western-style property. The environment is truly lovely. The gardens, especially the Pan Men scenic area right next door, are a total highlight and provide such a peaceful setting. Inside, the hotel is grand and spacious, with a fantastic breakfast buffet that strikes a great balance between traditional Chinese and Western options. However, the sheer scale of the place makes it feel a bit impersonal. It’s so spread out that I actually found it confusing to navigate the hallways. Also, be aware that you are pretty isolated here; you’ll need a taxi to get to almost anywhere of interest in the city. I was also disappointed by the room amenities. For a hotel of this caliber, it was strange to find no coffee machine and an empty mini-bar—it felt like a missing touch. Overall, I’m giving it 5 stars because there wasn’t anything actually wrong with our stay; everything was clean and well-maintained, but it definitely lacked that cozy, personal atmosphere I usually prefer.

When choosing a hotel, my top pick is always Shangri-La. Staying at a Shangri-La hotel feels just like home – it's warm, comfortable, and the service is incredibly attentive and top-notch. No matter which Shangri-La property I visit, the service standards are consistently excellent. My recent stay at the Shangri-La Nanjing allowed me to fully rest and relax after a tiring journey, and the culinary offerings were truly delightful. The hotel's ambiance is luxurious yet understated, elegant, and peaceful. The air always carries that distinctive, wonderful scent unique to all Shangri-La hotels, creating a warm, sophisticated, and refined atmosphere. The staff's service attitude is impeccable: polite, genuinely smiling, and thoughtful, all thanks to Shangri-La's thorough and comprehensive training system. In short, Shangri-La hotels are always my first choice for travel.

The views are great, with large floor-to-ceiling windows. The front desk service was pretty good too. Downstairs is the Suning.com Plaza, making shopping, strolling, and dining incredibly convenient. The pedestrian street and food street are also a short walk away. My favorite is the roasted lamb shank at the food street; I make sure to have one every time I visit.

This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right at the entrance of Dongguan Street and next to the bus station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. The Ancient Canal boat tours are just across the street. We felt the hotel's great service even before we arrived, as they proactively communicated about our arrival time. When we did get there, the staff were so warm and attentive. Our room package included afternoon tea and breakfast, both of which were excellent. They even provided complimentary fruit and offered late-night snacks. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Despite being right by a bustling area, the room was very quiet, and they even provided earplugs, so I slept wonderfully. I'll definitely be back to this hotel on my next trip to Yangzhou!

You get an unobstructed view of Xuanwu Lake and the city skyline, and you can watch Nanjing's sunrise and sunset right from your bed 🌇 - 🍴HORIZON CAFÉ All-Day Dining on the 45th Floor The breakfast buffet is divine! There's such a wide variety it's hard to choose: ✅Chinese food lovers rejoice: freshly made Nanjing-style duck blood and vermicelli soup, various noodles, stir-fries, congee and soups, as well as fried dough sticks, steamed buns, and dim sum – it's like a taste of old Nanjing. ✅Western food fans will be satisfied: toast, desserts, salads, cold cuts, and freshly ground coffee. ✅There are also fried foods, miso soup, fried rice, and many other options – you could eat from morning until noon without having the same thing twice! 🌇Observation Deck on the 45th Floor Head straight to the observation deck after breakfast! The expansive terrace offers panoramic views, allowing you to take in both the bustling prosperity of Nanjing city and the tranquil beauty of Xuanwu Lake. When the sun shines, it's perfect for photos, every shot looks like a masterpiece 📸 If you're visiting Nanjing during the Qingming holiday, choosing this hotel is definitely the right decision! The most, most, most recommended hotel in Suzhou! The young men and women at the front desk were all so gentle and thoughtful, always noticing what we needed. I really love the atmosphere here – it's so quiet and comfortable. The room was very clean, and the facilities were complete, even including a projector! The cleaning auntie was also very enthusiastic, helping us check what needed restocking. When it rained, they even prepared umbrellas for us. They even prepared drinks for us at check-out, in case we got thirsty on the road. This hotel deserves 5 stars!

Staying at the Shangri-La Hotel Yangzhou was an experience enveloped in luxury and comfort from start to finish. The room was spacious and elegant, exuding a grand Chinese aesthetic. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities were high-end and fully equipped, with thoughtful details evident throughout. The dining was exquisite, offering authentic and traditional Huaiyang cuisine. The buffet had a rich selection and excellent flavors, ensuring delicious culinary delights from morning till night. The swimming pool offered expansive views and crystal-clear water, in a quiet and upscale environment, making for a truly enjoyable swim. The gym and other amenities were also comprehensive and well-equipped. The service was attentive and thoughtful, making for an overall luxurious and pleasant experience. Whether for a vacation or a business trip, it's an absolutely superb choice. Finally, a special thank you to Guest Services Manager Emma. Her attentive and meticulous 'Shangri-La style' service made our stay truly wonderful. She is a true paragon of professionalism in the hotel industry. I will definitely book Shangri-La again on my next visit to Yangzhou. Looking forward to seeing the lovely Emma again!

Centrally located in Xinjiekou, this hotel boasts an excellent location, making it convenient to get around and perfect for shopping! The service is incredibly attentive; Manager Fang from the VIP hotline provided professional and meticulous service with a warm and thoughtful demeanor. She was proactive and thorough throughout, always responding and following up on every detail. Before my stay, Ms. Fang noticed from my social media that I was traveling with a baby and thoughtfully left a message saying she would arrange for children's amenities. These small touches truly made me feel at home at Jinling Hotel, showcasing their high-quality service and leaving a lasting impression. The concierge was also very polite and helpful with luggage. Jinling Hotel will definitely be my top choice for future stays!

A well-located hotel that’s easy to access key areas. The Western-style buffet breakfast was decent and sufficient to start the day. The room stood out for its high-tech features, which made the stay more comfortable and convenient. Overall, a good stay with a nice balance of comfort and location. And the small gift is a nice touch.
