Hotel near Shanghai Disney Resort,Shanghai
"Wonderful stay! We really enjoyed our time at Wheatfield Watch House. The property was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. One of the biggest highlights is the location, it’s just a few minutes from Disneyland, which was incredibly convenient. The hosts even drove us there by car, saving us a lot of time, which we truly appreciated. The staff are absolutely adorable: very kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The service was excellent and made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast is quite limited in choice, but still sufficient to start the day."

After entering the lobby, it is clean and tidy, the room has no strange smell, and the room also has free drinks and water. Robots can deliver items. They are very friendly. "This hotel was carefully selected for our trip to Disneyland, and their service truly exceeded expectations. The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming. Our butler went above and beyond, helping us with our luggage and even packing breakfast for us in advance since we had an early start. When we missed our shuttle, they found an alternative solution for us. Plus, there are a few adorable orange cats roaming around, and the in-room air conditioning works perfectly. Loved it! Highly recommend!"

I especially have to praise the breakfast; there was a wide variety, and the local specialty snacks tasted really authentic. The location is also very convenient, right next to a subway station. "I stayed at Wow hotel for 4 nights and booked a room with no window for about $120 AUD/night. Not cheap for Shanghai standards. From the outside it looks new and clean, but only once you stay there can you see the problems. 1. Despite being 9-16 degrees outside, our room was especially warm, stuffy and uncomfortable. We checked with staff who confirmed the in room air conditioning was broken/not available for cooling (only for heating). I also heard other guests complain about the same thing. There was a small standalone fan in our room but it didn’t help. 2. Despite having a no-smoking policy, we could still smell smoke throughout our stay. They clearly don’t enforce the policy and we even saw remaining cigarette butts in the lobby of our floor. 3. The lifts!!! There are 4 lifts in total, only 3 are available for hotel guests to travel to floor 2 and 3. There is ~15 floors overall with some having multiple businesses on each floor so the lifts are often packed. Sometimes they are not even available as you can see in this picture. We had to use the fire escape to go to our room and the lobby several times 4. The shower water temperature is by far the hardest thing to control. You nudge the water temperature a tiny bit and you go from the freezing waters of Antarctica to boiling hot water 5. Reception was rude and unhelpful.."

"Great location if you are heading for Disneyland or has an early flight to catch the next morning. Otherwise it is quite far from Shanghai city center - JingAn area- with no traffic - 45 min taxi ride) The hotel offers free shuttle to Disneyland which departs the hotel at 7:20am; and returns to the hotel at 10:20pm. It was a bit late for us since we finished watching the fireworks at 830pm. (Disneyland closes at 9:30pm ). So we just took a taxi (very few people waiting and cost ~RMB50; while the online car service costs ~R30 but the waiting area was very congested. The free shuttle to Putong airport departs on the hour and starts from 4 or 5am and takes less than 30min. Need to book one day in advance at the front desk. Our 3 persons family room has a double bed and a proper single bed( not fold up bed). Spacious enough for luggages. The negatives - we booked and paid for 3 persons - but hotel only offered breakfast for 2. We booked 2 nights but only has breakfast for one day. Strangest arrangement I have ever seen. BF - has reasonable options of Chinese and western cuisine . Noodle Bar was the best. Night snack- also has noodle bar with dumplings and congee."

Hotel is located at the intersection of Shanghai Nanjing East Road and People's Square. It is adjacent to the first general merchandise commercial center and is surrounded by vitality, showing the prosperity of Shanghai for more than a hundred years. "Overall, my stay was pretty decent. The location was super convenient, the price was reasonable, and the facilities were generally good for the cost. However, there are a few areas that could definitely use some improvement. For instance, adding a hook for bags in the bathroom and providing a clothes dryer would be really handy. More importantly, I think the hotel needs to be stricter with enforcing its house rules. During my stay, there were a few situations that made me quite uncomfortable. For example, while I was eating in the common area on the third floor, there were strangers intimately kissing, which felt inappropriate for a public space. Also, there were foreign guests being loud in the hallways during quiet hours. On top of that, I noticed both Chinese and other foreign guests frequently coughing without wearing masks, which not only disturbed my rest but also raised concerns about hygiene. Furthermore, the lights weren't turned off at the designated time, and some of my roommates were constantly entering and exiting the room late at night, making noise from opening their luggage, lockers, and bags, which disrupted my sleep. The room environment wasn't very peaceful, and some roommates were quite unfriendly and lacked basic courtesy. The common areas were also a bit messy with luggage and other items left lying around. While I understand that not all these issues are solely the hotel's responsibility, I still suggest that better management and stricter rule enforcement would significantly improve the overall guest experience. Also, some of the staff had trouble understanding basic English words, like ”sheets,” which made communication a bit challenging at times. Finally, when I arrived, the escalator was broken. The staff initially seemed a bit hesitant to help, but they did assist me in the end. I get that it might not have been her job, but the broken escalator wasn't my fault either. On a positive note, I'd like to thank the housekeeping staff for consistently keeping the place clean, and I'm also grateful to the front desk staff for lending me an adaptor."

"Good ✅ - 10/10 cleanliness, housekeepers very great most helpful -  front staff try to understand  - restaurants/minimarts nearby - right next to the road excellent for didi calling - huge rooms Can improve 🔺 - smoking smell inside the room, it did not come from outside the window. Front staff told me I did not specifically state that I wanted a non-smoking room and had to put up with the smell for several hours on our first day. It would be great if the hotel had an ozone machine to rid of smell from a smoking guest to make it better for the next guest.  - the air conditioner is an central system and in spring when the weather was 15-17 degrees it was too warm/hot. The window is too small, but luckily we were able to get 2 fans to help. If it was just a few degrees warmer it would had been very hot and stuffy in the room."

CCiky2023Our romantic winter getaway began the moment we stepped into Dino Starry Resort, immediately feeling a warm welcome. Unlike a typical hotel's impersonal atmosphere, the staff here felt like old friends, making us feel right at home and completely relaxed. Getting to Disneyland was a breeze with their Mercedes shuttle, which departed at our pre-arranged time. Breakfast was plentiful, and our room was spotless and tidy. The overall environment was lovely, and there were even small animals in the backyard that we could feed for free. The biggest surprise, though, was experiencing authentic winter fun. We gathered around a traditional earthen pot stove, warming ourselves and chatting, or enjoyed a steaming hotpot cooked in a vintage hanging pot. On sunny days, we even had a lively outdoor BBQ with plenty of smoke and laughter. From the rustic charm of the earthen pot to the nostalgic feel of the hanging pot and the vibrant energy of the BBQ, this place had it all. Dino Starry is more than just a place to stay; it's a wonderful space where you can unwind, leave your weariness behind, and relive cherished moments. Come and gather with your loved ones here, and collect a whole winter's worth of warmth amidst delicious food and laughter!

AAnonymous UserA perfect stay! The hotel's location is excellent, the room was spacious, quiet, and very clean, and the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied. On the day I checked in, I missed dinner and ended up with low blood sugar. The restaurant was busy with a group of Indian guests who had pre-booked a meal. A staff member, perhaps noticing I was very hungry, very kindly brought me two bowls of millet porridge. As someone who travels frequently for business, it's rare and truly appreciated to find a hotel where the staff are so kind and provide prompt service. After all, this wasn't part of the hotel staff's duties, especially since the hotel doesn't even offer dinner service. Yet, this staff member, despite clearly being very busy, immediately noticed a guest's need and went above and beyond their job scope. This is the greatest kindness you can show a guest. I believe this reflects the great care and culture instilled by the company, truly a hallmark of an excellent establishment. I extend my sincere thanks to all the hotel's management and staff, especially that particular team member 🙏. Note: My photos don't do it justice; the room was actually fantastic 🎉

YYan-plumNot bad at all! It's just across the road from Changshu Road Station on Metro Line 7. The hotel front desk staff are all very nice. They have a policy where you can't use hairdryers from 11 PM to 7 AM, which is a great idea to prevent late-night check-ins from disturbing other guests. If you have large luggage, it's probably best to store it at the front desk, otherwise, there might not be enough space in the room.

CCarol Lim KHStayed at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai, Pudong for one night, and it was truly a memorable experience. We were two female travelers and booked a Skyline View Twin Room. The room was spacious, elegant, and beautifully designed, with a modern yet luxurious feel. The highlight was definitely the stunning skyline view—especially at night, the city lights created a breathtaking atmosphere right from the comfort of our room. It was a perfect setting to relax and unwind. The beds were extremely comfortable, with high-quality linens that ensured a restful sleep. The room was impeccably clean, and every detail reflected the hotel’s high standards. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a well-designed layout, a strong shower, and a generous bathtub, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. The service was exceptional, as expected from a Ritz-Carlton property. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. The location in Pudong is very convenient, with easy access to shopping malls, restaurants, and key attractions. It is an excellent choice for both leisure and business travelers. Overall, this hotel offers a perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and service. It was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely return in the future.

MMiduodongjieI recently stayed in a stunning river view room. The lady at the front desk was incredibly friendly and, upon learning I wanted a higher floor, promptly arranged for the room to be cleaned, and I was checked in very quickly. The bellboy was also very welcoming. The hotel is located right on the S-bend of the Bund, offering fantastic views from your room. You can enjoy afternoon tea at the hotel and watch the passersby on the Bund up close. The hotel's 'Magic Mirror' restaurant offers a prime spot to admire the S-bend. Every corner of this hotel is photo-worthy. Just across the street is the Bund promenade, and it's close to Yu Garden and Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The 'Red House' building, about 100 meters away, is a beautiful spot for photos, and inside, you'll find the famous Li Bai Crab, a must-try Shanghai delicacy.

GGuest UserThe Peninsula Shanghai, nestled by the Waibaidu Bridge, the Monument to the People's Heroes, and the Bund, might not be described as 'convenient' in the traditional sense, but I found its location perfect for soaking in the unique Shanghainese vibe! The service here is wonderfully old-school and distinctively 'Shanghai' – unhurried yet efficient, demonstrating a clear and deep understanding of guest needs. The rooms are classic Peninsula style, with well-defined functional areas, superb soundproofing, and impeccable cleanliness and maintenance, putting my mind completely at ease. The dining experience was a genuine delight; both breakfast and the Cantonese restaurant in the evening were so memorable. I particularly loved the evening bath ritual – pressing the SPA button and immersing myself in the tranquil, ethereal music, it felt like I was back in a cozy island retreat! My two-day Peninsula experience was a solid 12 out of 10. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Shanghai who wants to truly experience its unique charm!

SsignxService: The best hotel I've ever stayed at! No exaggeration. I've tried many hotels in Shanghai, including Shangri-La (Jingan, Pudong), Ritz-Carlton (Pudong), Peninsula (Bund), Shanghai Tower J-Hotel, Grand Hyatt, Kempinski, Disney hotels, Westin, Kerry Centre, Sheraton... Apart from Banyan Tree, which I'm not interested in, and St. Regis, which I tried in Sanya, and Waldorf Astoria, which I haven't had the chance to visit yet, I've checked out almost all the hotels my child and I were interested in. Honestly, W truly impressed me. From purchasing the package and booking the dates in advance to phone communication, the staff consistently displayed genuine warmth and professionalism. They meticulously noted all my requests, ensuring accurate internal communication. On the day of arrival, I wasn't feeling well and my tone wasn't great. Yet, the front desk staff listened attentively and with incredible patience throughout. This level of internal training deeply impressed me. There was none of the arrogance I've experienced at the Peninsula or Ritz-Carlton; instead, it was full of understanding for the customer. I actually want to come back and stay again soon! 😂 I even joked with the hotel staff, asking if this excellent service was because I booked a suite. 😝 But then again, I had suites at Shanghai Tower J-Hotel and Ritz-Carlton too, and the service there was... well, let's just say it was different. At the W, it's not just the front desk and lobby; even the staff helping with the elevator and the cleaning crew in the basement are incredibly cheerful and sincere. I love this fresh, uplifting energy and team. Facilities: The facilities are clean and hygienic, and every room has a bidet toilet seat, which is a nice touch! Environment: Very clean, and most importantly, the view across the river is absolutely stunning. Hygene: The hygiene is excellent, very clean. And their response time is super fast. If I had to pick one downside, it would be that the配套 facilities at Magnolia Plaza are a bit too low-end, haha. They really don't match the W's standard.
