"Worth every penny! We stayed for two nights and absolutely loved it. The housekeeping is exceptional; they add you on WeChat so you can request anything you need, and they deliver it almost instantly. To be honest, I’ve never seen such prompt service, even at brands like the Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons.
Kudos to Si Si and Jing Jing for a service standard that felt more personalized than being an Accor Platinum or Marriott Titanium member.
The property isn’t your standard hotel—it occupies the 37th and 38th floors of the building directly in front of Raffles City. I’d highly recommend staying here instead of paying to visit a separate viewpoint!"

From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel welcome, but a special mention must go to Mia, who went above and beyond to help us. She assisted extensively with organising our transport to the airport and took care of our luggage with such efficiency and warmth – it made our departure stress-free.
The hotel itself is in a great location, convenient for exploring the area, and perfect for families. Travelling as a family of five from Australia, we often find it challenging to get the right level of service and space, but Maiyue Hotel ticked all the boxes. The rooms were comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the staff genuinely cared about our stay.

"The hotel's location is fantastic, right by Jiefangbei, and there's a CHAYAN YUESE (tea shop) right next door. The decor has a W-hotel vibe, which is really unique. The service is warm and friendly, and the breakfast is decent, even featuring Chongqing noodles. There's a revolving restaurant on the top floor. A great perk in the room is that the USB ports on the outlets support fast charging, but unfortunately, the TV doesn't support screen mirroring."

The night view of Hongyadong felt like something out of Spirited Away, and watching the city lights from Qianximen Bridge with the river breeze was magical. The Liziba monorail piercing through buildings provided incredible photo ops. Chongqing hotpot was rich and savory with its beef tallow, and the tripe and duck intestine were perfectly crispy. The spicy, fragrant Chongqing noodles were the perfect wake-up call in the morning. The locals were so warm and friendly, even proactively helping when I was lost. There are tons of free attractions, and transportation is cheap, making it incredibly good value for money. It was an unforgettable trip, and I'm already planning my second visit!"

The room facilities and design were very good, and the bed and pillows were super comfortable. I even extended my stay for another day! The front desk staff were very attentive, and the noodles and wontons prepared by the auntie at the breakfast buffet were delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay! I'd definitely consider staying here again on my next visit.

HhrchenBoth hotels I stayed at during my Chongqing trip were HUAZHU City Comfort Inn properties. City Comfort Inn seems to be a mid-to-high-end brand that really understands what Chinese travelers look for. The complimentary breakfast and laundry room were fantastic, offering incredible value for money. The front desk and concierge service were also excellent, very friendly and thoughtful, though I didn't catch their names. The location is also great; it's perfect for travelers who prefer a quieter area away from the crowds, and taxis are inexpensive in Chongqing. Overall, if they keep this up, their value for money could even surpass international five-star hotel chains.

It was such an emotional boost. Every morning I’d spend ages in the restaurant, just feasting (so good!). Waiting for the lion dance and various gods to appear, and getting red envelopes from them (the lions and gods would interact with guests at each table in the restaurant). The breakfast pastries had different delightful touches every day, which made me so happy.
In the evenings, the two bars had incredible views, giving off a vibe of extravagant decadence. I just loved indulging and chilling out every day.
Service was truly responsive to every request, always thorough, patient, gentle, and never annoyed. They were there whenever you needed them, but without being overly enthusiastic or overwhelming. The balance was just perfect – that’s a huge plus!
On checkout day, an important document accidentally blew under the car. The security guard and the manager at the entrance got down on the ground, blowing and fishing it out for me. Super impressive!
I have to praise the complimentary Chongqing noodles in the room. Regent's noodles really do have a unique texture! They’re something special! I had to slurp down a bowl every morning at breakfast. When I left, I ended up buying three extra boxes…
These few days in the bustling city of Chongqing were truly joyful! Everywhere I went, I had this illusion that I was about to become rich (just kidding, but not really). The massive golden tree, the auspicious lions, all sorts of gold ingots, gold coin chocolates, a well-stocked mini-bar with drinks, and various Chongqing snacks provided daily!
As someone in advertising, I have to say the ambiance here is masterfully done. The brand positioning is so well maintained. Full of emotional value ✅.
PS. The room facilities are new and complete, and cleanliness is excellent, no complaints. If I had to pick something, maybe the central air conditioning was a bit too warm.

The resort's accommodations are a true delight – beautifully designed rooms that effortlessly combine sleek, contemporary aesthetics with the warmth and character of the local countryside. The attention to detail is truly impressive, creating a sense of tranquility and authenticity that is all too rare in today's hospitality landscape.
One of the standout features of my stay was the opportunity to explore the entire village on my last night. Navigating the winding paths felt like stepping into an adventure game, with new discoveries at every turn. The sense of wonder and excitement I felt was akin to being a child again, truly immersed in the magic of the mountain setting.
The service at Longmen Pu Village is equally impressive. Prior to my arrival, I had connected with the customer service team on WeChat, and they were well-prepared and attentive to my needs. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with delectable local Chongqing specialties, a delightful introduction to the culinary delights that awaited me.
The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. These moments of peaceful contemplation, immersed in the beauty of the mountains, will be etched in my memory forever.
Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure.
While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort.

GGuest UserI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

The hotel is nestled in the bustling Shan City Lane, offering a tranquil escape amidst the crowds. It's built on the former site of the Ren'aitang, cleverly blending French historical architecture with the unique topography of the mountain city. The interior design, from the public lobby and restaurant to the room decor, incorporates numerous Scandinavian design elements, creating a very stylish ambiance that perfectly matches my aesthetic. The staff were consistently and appropriately enthusiastic, offering to help with luggage while patiently introducing the building's history and the surrounding area. Complimentary snacks and drinks were available in the lounge area, and thoughtful touches like turn-down service with a sweet soup in the evening were much appreciated. The complimentary travel photography service provided by the hotel was also very professional; it was wonderful to capture beautiful commemorative photos in such a retro and elegant setting – definitely a must-try. All in all, it was a delightful urban getaway, truly memorable, and I hope to have the chance to visit again.

The Chinese restaurant on the 42nd floor served delicious food at affordable prices. The skybridge with its glass walkway on the 42nd floor offered unique views. I'd especially like to commend the hotel concierge (whose name I don't recall) who called me before my arrival to inquire about my accommodation preferences. She then arranged room 6108 for me. After checking in, she called again to ask if I was satisfied. I truly felt that the hotel staff were extremely dedicated and highly professional. I was very satisfied with this stay at the InterContinental Raffles City and will definitely return next time!👍

XXiaoyaoyoudaxianThe biggest advantage of this hotel is its proximity to Hongyadong, it's right downstairs. However, the overall hotel experience was just average; being so close to a tourist spot, it felt quite noisy. The hotel's hygiene was good, very clean, but the room itself felt a bit basic, like a 3-star standard, maybe slightly better than a guesthouse. The front desk is on the 15th floor, and they share elevators with other hotels, so it was crowded and chaotic. The hotel breakfast was very ordinary, with limited variety, and the dining area was small, requiring a queue. Surprisingly, the slippers in the room were reusable, which was a first for me and made for a really poor experience. If you're just looking for convenience to Hongyadong, you could consider it. But if you're sensitive to noise or have high standards for room quality, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

1. Hongyadong is just a 200-meter walk from the customer service desk on the hotel's first floor.
2. You can take the internal hotel elevator up to the 22nd floor, walk through Kuaixinglou, and reach Jiefangbei within 500 meters.
3. Taxis are easy to get, and the Line 2 monorail station is also within walking distance.
The front desk staff were very friendly and happy to answer our questions about tourist attractions. They also provided a tourist map and a food guide, which was very helpful.
We booked an AI-smart room. Upon entering, 'Xiaodu' (the smart assistant) greeted us, provided daily weather forecasts, and could adjust the air conditioning, open/close the curtains, and control the lights. We could even scan a QR code for a robot to deliver bottled water, and request more if needed – it was amazing! My son also fell in love with Xiaodu, interacting with it every day and even playing songs for me.
Furthermore, from 8 PM to 10:21 PM every night, there's a free dessert soup served in the sky lobby. You can enjoy the dessert while admiring the beautiful city views – so thoughtful!
I will definitely book this hotel again the next time I visit Chongqing.
