We absolutely loved our stay at Shanyuyishe Boutique B&B in Dali Ancient City. The location was perfect for us — tucked away in a peaceful corner near Dali Ancient City, yet only a short walk to the shops, cafés, and attractions. What truly made the stay special was the hospitality. The owner was incredibly warm and welcoming, helping us with our luggage, preparing breakfast every morning, and always making sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was simple but delicious, especially the rice noodles, which we looked forward to each morning. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and the overall peaceful atmosphere. A couple of things to note for families and travellers with larger luggage. The beautiful courtyard has a koi pond running through parts of it, which adds to the charm, but I was constantly keeping an eye on my kids as I was worried they might accidentally fall in. Thankfully, nothing happened, but it’s something parents with young children may want to be aware of. Another consideration is luggage. Vehicles can stop near the property, but you’ll still need to carry your luggage across parts of the courtyard. If you’re staying on Levels 2 or 3, there is no lift, so luggage has to be carried up manually. The owner was kind enough to help us, but it’s still worth considering if you’re travelling with multiple large suitcases. For our family room, one small downside was that although the room was very spacious, there was only one air-conditioner serving the entire unit. The smaller bedroom felt a little stuffy and warm at night. That said, the owner was very responsive and quickly provided us with a fan the next day, which made a huge difference and solved the issue for us. Overall, the warmth of the host, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast, and peaceful setting far outweighed these minor inconveniences. We’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy and authentic stay in Dali. ❤️🏔️✨

Having traveled frequently and stayed in many hotels and guesthouses, I'm quite picky about hotel layouts and decor. My initial goal was to find a hotel with its own hot spring so I could enjoy Tengchong's hot springs without having to go elsewhere for a private soak. Secondly, this guesthouse's decor, layout, and location were exactly what I wanted. Situated halfway up a mountain, it was very quiet and private. Soaking in the hot spring amidst the sounds of insects was incredibly relaxing. The air was also very fresh, and on rainy days you could see the morning mist, while on sunny days you could witness a stunning sunset – a truly wonderful experience. It's also worth mentioning the owner's exceptional service. From welcoming us to seeing us off, their attentiveness made us feel right at home. We stayed two nights here and had a fantastic experience. I'll definitely come back next time and highly recommend it!

This stay was absolutely perfect! The guesthouse is clean and elegant, with a warm and cozy atmosphere throughout. There are even cute cats and dogs in the yard, adding to the wonderful vibe. The owner is incredibly welcoming and kind, proactively helping us with our luggage, sharing delicious homemade meals, and thoughtfully recommending off-the-beaten-path routes. Their attention to detail and care felt just like family, making our trip full of warmth and joy! I have to commend the super thoughtful guesthouse owner! Not only did they proactively help with luggage and prepare tasty homemade dishes, but they also precisely recommended attractions based on our preferences, helping us avoid crowds. They responded promptly to any requests, treating us with genuine warmth and care like a friend. It was a comfortable and reassuring stay, making the experience absolutely fantastic! This stay was such a pleasant surprise! The guesthouse owner is genuinely kind and warm-hearted. They proactively helped us with our luggage up and down the stairs and shared their homemade meals, which were simple yet delicious. When it came to sightseeing, they patiently recommended local hidden gems, food, and routes, and even thoughtfully reminded us about travel precautions. Every detail showed their sincerity, making the trip exceptionally warm and healing.

My mom and I came to Lijiang, and I booked this hotel on a whim the day before we left. I never expected it would lead to such a wonderful experience! This was my first time visiting Yunnan, and I fell in love with the place, largely thanks to staying at such a comfortable hotel. The location is quite easy to find, right on the square in Yuhu Village, so you don't have to walk a lot on cobblestone paths, and it's also very convenient for catching a taxi. **Environment:** Waking up every day and opening the curtains to see the snow-capped mountains was truly healing. You can enjoy the snow mountain view from the guest rooms, the courtyard, and the restaurant. The hotel has been open for a while, but the facilities are well-maintained. The only minor issue was that the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work, and a slight drawback was that some of the essential oil bottles for the aromatherapy activity were empty. I hope they can be refilled promptly. **Service:** The front desk staff were very welcoming. When we couldn't find a certain photo spot, they shared their location and came to guide us. I participated in the evening tea ceremony around the fireplace for three consecutive nights. It wasn't crowded, but the atmosphere was great, with warm roasted milk, local specialty rice sausages, and Erkuai (rice cakes), plus some snacks to munch on. Chatting by the fire with the front desk lady and the local Naxi ethnic minority male staff member was delightful; all the staff had really pleasant personalities, which made it very enjoyable. Personally, I think staying here is much quieter and more pleasant than staying in the ancient town. I highly recommend it to friends who prefer a slower pace of travel and don't like crowds! I hope to come back for a second visit during mushroom picking season or the Torch Festival!

Must recommend! The landlord is very nice and helped to upgrade the bathtub room for free. I had a nice bath at night. The room is clean, tidy, spacious and bright. The bedding is very comfortable to sleep on. It is close to Haigeng Dam, National Village and 1903 Park. It is very convenient to go out and play. You can get a taxi at the door of the store. I will book this store next time I come to play.

My time here was truly life-changing. The hotel was truly exceptional. We arrived from Dali with high expectations and they were certainly met. The rooms were spacious, the location wasn't too crowded so we felt like we had a lot of space to ourselves. But most importantly, our host, Sun, was truly an incredible soul. She was there for us on every moment and we could always send her a wechat message for anything we needed. She ended up really taking care of us in more ways than one. I would definitely recommend this place when you're staying in Lijiang. It's very hard to beat.

I have only good things to say about my stay here at Liaofan Lakeview Inn. The host is so helpful and provided recommendations on where to eat and travel on my itinerary. He also provided guides and tips on how to travel around the Erhai Lake. The view from our accommodations was also facing the Erhai Lake directly, as per the photo guides while booking. 10 out of 10 will recommend to anybody looking to stay around East side of Erhai Lake.

The room was very clean and quiet. If you book a sea view room, you can check in and take pictures on the balcony in the room. The lady at the front desk is very enthusiastic. She even arranged a pick-up for us when we arrived in Dali at 10 o'clock in the evening. When we saw that we had children, she upgraded us to a larger room and provided us with breakfast. My baby cooked baby rice noodles alone, which was really heartwarming. I will choose here again next time I come to Dali.

Facilities: The hotel is a villa in the community, but all the items are complete, and there is electric heating. It is just right to open the warm room in advance when it rains and cold. Hygienic: It is really a rare villa that has been cleaned very seriously and cleanly recently! ! Wins Sanya! ! Hotel-style management, so cleaning is arranged every day, it is very worry-free 👌🏻 The tableware and cooking are very clean, and you can use it with confidence after a hot disinfection. It is great! ! Environment: There are a lot of flowers and plants in the community, very quiet, great! It takes ten minutes to walk to Dongguan Village outside the community. It is very convenient for shopping and eating. 😍 Service: The boss is very good, some small needs will be met, and many fun places worth going to, there are many people and water needs, and they will also be sent more, great 😊

The location is absolutely stunning, with lush mountains on one side and a vast river view on the other, offering a seamless transition between tranquility and vibrancy. Just a few steps downstairs, you can reach the riverside promenade, enjoying the river breeze and the view – it's incredibly pleasant. Staying here is truly wonderful!
