"The motel's location is a bit out of the city center, so a car is essential for getting around. You can park right in front of your room. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything you need, including pots and pans.
The male owner was very responsible. On our first night, the AC wasn't blowing hot air, and we woke up freezing at around 5 AM. We talked to the owner the next day, and he explained that the thermostat was set too high, preventing the AC from kicking in. He then restarted the outdoor unit and got it working. He even proactively knocked on our door to check if it was working correctly and brought us a small space heater. The owner also provided a small map, showing us places to visit in the city and how to get there."

"It was a really great backpacker hostel! I can also convince you that the word of mouth is very good.
First of all, there is a lot of cleanliness. The shared space is beautiful and all the guests use it cleanly. Each room is also beautiful, and it is also great that the bed on the lower stage has a curtain and can be closed.
We are also prepared to drink hot chocolate and tea. New Zealand was cold in autumn, so I was very happy to have a warm drink when I returned to the hostel.
It was an early check-out in the morning with a late check-in, but he contacted me in advance and responded politely.
Also, it was a nice hotel that I would like to stay!"

For the room, I stayed in a one bunk bed (2single beds). Space is enough for two occupants. Each bed has it’s own light and power sockets. Locker is also available to put your valuable things. Just bring your own lock. Also, bring your own towels. They don’t provide it for free. You have to rent it and pay NZD4.
Common toilets and showers were clean and spotless during my four night stay."

The hotel was built around 1875 if not mistaken so the room is very very vintage and old. Most of the amenities in room look old especially the bath tub look dirty and room space is quite small. "Cleanliness and facilities are average. The bathroom needs to be improved. There is a strong smell when I open the door. I need to open the door to let the air circulate to feel better. Other services and location are very satisfactory. There is a very beautiful beach nearby."

chiichan_desuyoBeing in the city center, it's very convenient to get around, and close to the InterCity bus and airport shuttle stops. It's also about a 10-minute walk to places for tours like Milford Sound. I'd say the location is excellent!
The room itself was very clean, and even though all the beds were occupied, the other guests in the room were quiet, which made it easy to sleep.
The building itself also looked very clean from the outside.
However, it was a shame that there were no power outlets near the beds, no hairdryer in the bathroom, and the common areas were incredibly dirty – though that might have just been bad luck with the other guests staying at the time.
Considering the price, if you can overlook these issues, it's probably worth staying. I'd consider staying here again.

Mayer_0101I highly recommend this cozy and comfortable hostel! It seems like there were small activities every night, and I was lucky enough to participate and hang out with people from other branches. The overall experience was great, and I made friends from all over the world in just two nights. Not only were the staff friendly and welcoming, but the location was also very convenient, and the price was even better. This small hostel is also perfect for shy and introverted people.

The hotel is located near town center, few minutes of walk can reach the octagon and it’s next to railway station. Very good location. The hotel was built around 1875 if not mistaken so the room is very very vintage and old. Most of the amenities in room look old especially the bath tub look dirty and room space is quite small. Good hostel. Reasonable price and well equipped facilities. I would stay here if I come Oamaru again.
One bad thing. There is no front desk. So guests always have to be aware of PIN that lets you get inside (even their room). So I had to bring my mobile even when I went to the toilet. If I had forgotten my room PIN, I couldn't open the door of my room.

哟婆婆This hotel is really amazing. The golf driving range is behind. Although it is very partial, it retains the tradition. You don't have to worry about it in the hotel. The waiter is very friendly.
