"Sara's Backpackers Hotel is really OK. The location is practical, you can get to important places QUICKLY like the Pashupatinath Temple or the Garden of Dreams. The rooms are clean, but a bit simply furnished. WIFI IS free, but sometimes a bit slow.
THE staff is super friendly and helps with everything, whether it's excursions or questions about the area. Breakfast is OK too, but not super special - just typical of the country. The rooftop terrace is a real highlight, a nice view to relax.
There are also bikes to rent, which is cool. A few things could be better, e.g. the beds are a bit hard and the showers could be more modern. Overall, though, it's good value for money.
Would come back if I'm in the area! ⭐⭐⭐⭐"

They were sooo nice and welcoming.
Booked an early airport drop off for me in a reasonable price and packed my breakfast for the flight! (Which btw is included in the price of the room.
The room comes with shampoo, toothbrush and paste, enough water, coffee and tea and there's a kettle.
I only needed one night and for that it was good, but! 🙏 If you want a clean room, that is the weak spot of the place
The room was not clean, there were stains and hairs on the bad (not mine) And there's a wall-to-wall carpet which is old and dirty
So I'm having mix feeling in this review.
Overall, I recommend for short term stays :)"

"The hotel is 1 km from the bus stop. After booking, I received two emails. One of them provided some important information. I had a phone number, so I called the hotel to pick me up after I got off the bus. Within three minutes, they arrived on a motorcycle. The room was okay—not too picky at this price point in rural Nepal. The hot water was good, and shampoo, towels, soap, and toothbrushes were all provided. You had to ask the owner for a hairdryer and hot water. The service was friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was good. However, the hotel is 1 km from the main street, which can be inconvenient for dining out. Be aware of this when booking. Also, the cheaper rooms don't have air conditioning, but they charged me an extra 40 RMB to get one with air conditioning."

"While the couple room was good, staffs were supportive and service was good, we severely suffered due to not having hot water at all in the cold weather (the staffs kept saying that hot water will come, just keep the tap water running but no luck!). The laundry was not properly clean and was still slightly damp when we received it. On top of that, the laundry service charged us for more laundry than we had actually handed in. In the end, I only paid the 130 NPR per kg, which was fair.
Overall, the hotel was good, especially regarding its location and cleanliness, but the service and some basic aspects of the facilities could definitely be improved."

Nice hotel in the city center with all the conditions I need. There is a good restaurant on the top, and the coffee shop on the ground floor. The service was perfect, the men from reception, his name is Birendra, allowed me to leave my belongings while I was on track, and helped me with all the questions I had.

The bed is very small and the room is very crowded. The photos on the website look big and bright, but it is not. The curtains on my bed are torn and the shielding is not very good, but there is a beautiful restaurant on the top floor, which is my favorite!

I stayed here near the airport in preparation for my flight the next morning. When I asked the staff about the breakfast time, I got different answers depending on who I asked. When I went to the breakfast venue in the morning, it wasn't ready yet, so I had them call my room when it was ready.
The showers are quite local and don't come with a conditioner, so if you want to use them, it's better to bring your own.
It was helpful to be able to pick up and drop off from the hotel to the airport.

Guest UserThe staff were true gentlemen, especially Rupak, who assisted me with an issue in the morning. Everyone was very friendly. The facilities were great, and the restrooms were clean. I personally loved relaxing on the rooftop at night; it felt very freeing.

I booked this hotel for an overnight stay before my flight back home, as it coincided with election day. I chose it because of the positive reviews from Japanese guests. I checked in around 5 PM, and the staff greeted me with big smiles. I was instantly delighted to see Doraemon playing in Hindi on a screen in the entrance lobby! The room was incredibly spacious for one person, and I could relax by watching YouTube, Nepalese TV, and dramas on the TV. I was surprised to find a toilet with both large and small flush buttons, which is rare in Nepal. The shower room was also very large and had a shower curtain, making it very comfortable. I also enjoyed the breakfast, which was substantial and delicious.

Good hotel if you are travelling on a budget while enjoying a nice Nepali deco with a patio-stupa in the center of the property.
Room was pretty old but reasonable for the price!
