2-Star Hotels in Zuid-Holland, Netherlands

A new hotel. I booked this hotel because it was cheap and easy to get to by tram from The Hague. It's a 3-4 minute walk from the tram station. A self-check-in hotel using the touch panel. Because the hotel is basically unmanned, you need a password even to open the entrance door. I was told that the password was sent to me by email in advance, but I couldn't find it, so I pressed the intercom and a staff member opened it for me right away. They don't usually show themselves to guests, but it seems that there is a staff member somewhere in the hotel. It seems that they are operating with the bare minimum. There were basically no amenities, not even an internal line or a hair dryer. If you had any problems, you had to call someone's phone number. It was a beautiful hotel, so I was surprised that there was no hair dryer. I called to check, but it seems that they don't have one. Isn't it rare for a room without a hair dryer in a new hotel like this these days? There was a coffee maker, desk, and chair in the common area at the front desk. It was spacious and there were many of them, so it seemed like a good place to work. Drinks were charged. Even hot water was 2 euros. It was close to the sea, and it took 5 minutes to get there. It was nice to take a walk at dusk. There are many supermarkets in the area. The supermarket next door seems to be open until midnight.

Long wait just to check-in, there was merely one person working the front desk. . Friendly receptionist though. There were no choices except a room without a window. It is located in a dungeon-like, secluded part of the hotel building. The exhaust fan keeps running the entire time and becomes a nuisance at night. There is a stench inside the room and the corridoor was even worse. The world hydrogen summit and exhibition was in town and I ran out of options, otherwise, I would have chosen another premise.

Its a small hostel with limited room facilities, tiny toilet, broken lift, and horrible shower. Room isn’t really clean, there are couple of students also live there and said they haven’t clean since they move there like 3 days earlier before me. So in total 5 days weren’t be cleaned. Staff is nice tho and central, close to station, 9 minutes walk. Basically rotterdam is a walkable city . I got room with view to the main street which beautiful but very loud.

All dutch people are so kind especially the staff of this hotel!! You can go there from DenHaag central station on foot and there are a super market and a coin laundry near there. The bed room is dormitory style but we had decent sleep because every one is quiet. cd

I really enjoyed CityHub Rotterdam. We were here for a convention of one night and needed a quick and cheaper place to stay as we wouldn't be at the hotel at all. The capsule room really feels bigger than it looks on photos I was pleasantly surprised at how spacious it feels and not claustrophobic at all. It fit 2 people very comfortably! It was almost a queen sized bed and I felt very cozy. The pillows and linen looked very new and we're very clean. The rooms do have ventilation but not as much as I would have liked. I can't imagine it being very comfortable during the summer. Late spring was still doable but a bit on the warmer side. Checking in was a simple process by using the touchpad screens in the hotel lobby with your booking code. However my code from the Trip app didn't seem to work, so I asked the person at the front desk to give me mine based on my name and ID. . You're given a wristband with an NFC Chip embedded into it which acts as your key to your pod and also payment for additional food, drinks and amenities available on the lobby. This is super nice and you don't lose it. As for noise, when booking, we requested a pod that was tucked away in the corner, dead end and away from the elevator and I was happy. You *can* hear people talking very loudly and stomping/footstep noises is very clearly heard. So don't forget to bring ear plugs too. I also liked that the toiletries provided were Rituals (a really nice upscale beauty product brand in the Nl) it really elevated the experience. Speaking of bathing it is ”dormitory” style so you are seperated into two different bathing areas and have your own stalls to shower in. The stalls didn't feel as clean / well maintained as the pods though. But the provided towels were big. Do remember to bring your own slippers otherwise you'll be stuffing wet feet into your shoes. All in all a 4/5 experience! It was pricey because we were in town for a convention, but the regular rates were fine for what you get. receptionist was rude. initially she assigned me a room on 3rd floor, i went up to the room and there was literally someone sleeping on the bed. so i went to front desk again to ask for another room. she sighed in disbelief like i'm a dumb person. she questioned me and was generally rude (sighing, not even saying sorry for the mistake, and not nice). she just silently did some admin work and give me a new card without saying a single thing. room and toilet was ok but a bit ghetto, the lobby of the hostel seemed promising but in reality, the hallways of the room seemed suspicious and unsafe. there were people just hanging around there, sitting in the staircase (in a suspicious way, not a cool socializing way). walls are super super thin, we could hear parents scolding their kids and the kids screaming and crying. i wouldn't recommend this place considering their high price.

Exactly as expected. Basic small room only with no frills but still value for money in this off-season. Good shower room though. Bed bit lumpy and thin walls. But perfect location in centre (no sea view). Staff friendly and helpful.

I have stayed here many times and this time upon check in there was only one person on..around 1520 hrs. After being on the road from 0900hrs with trains and planes was tired already and waited 1hr at the desk to check in. Unacceptable as 1hr out of my vacation ! Not as comfortable as usual. Beds somewhat harder for me personally Staff very good . .

Located in the heart of Rotterdam. Easy access to the central railway station. Plenty of eateries and C-store nearby. Tere is a shopping district within walking distance. Reasonable pricing. Most definitely my first choice for my next trip. At night, the streets downstairs are a little noisy but does not last till midnight.

The transportation is very convenient as it is right next to The Hague Airport in the Netherlands. The price is quite affordable for the Netherlands. The bed was also quite comfortable and I slept very comfortably. The service staff is very friendly. It was a perfect accommodation experience.
