All rooms can see Mount Fuji Accommodation without meals

"Even though it's a ryokan-style hotel, the private room was quite large and spacious. It had its own bathroom and sink inside the room. The bedding was a futon on the floor, and yukata robes were provided. The shared bathrooms, separated by gender, were outside the room. They were large enough for 3-4 people to shower at once and could be locked. There was also a large soaking tub in the bathroom. But the view of Mount Fuji? Absolutely unbeatable! Especially in the morning with the golden light, Fuji-san looked incredibly beautiful."

With a stay at Hatago Tsubakiya in Yamanakako, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of Lake Yamanaka and Oshino Hakkai. This hotel is 4.9 mi (7.9 km) from Mount Fuji and 7.6 mi (12.3 km) from Fuji-Q Highland. Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as bicycles to rent, or other amenities including complimentary wireless internet access and a vending machine. Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, laundry facilities, and microwave in a common area. Free self parking is available onsite. Make yourself at home in one of the 9 air-conditioned rooms featuring refrigerators and flat-screen televisions. Complimentary wireless internet access is available to keep you connected. Bathrooms feature separate bathtubs and showers, spring water baths, and hair dryers.

"This place is very close to Lake Yamanaka, and its off-street location makes it very quiet. If you're driving, you'll need to set your GPS to Yamanakako Post Office. The staff, especially the younger woman, was very polite and could communicate in both English and Mandarin. The whole place is a traditional Japanese ryokan with a bit of history. Don't expect it to be brand new, but it's clean and tidy, making for a comfortable stay. We booked room 102 with a garden, and we were so lucky to see a clear view of Mount Fuji on our first day! It was truly amazing to see it from our room. The only minor inconvenience was that you have to reserve a time slot for bathing. There are two private onsen rooms outside the guest rooms. When you reserve a slot, it becomes your private bath, complete with a shower area and a small indoor tub. They also provide a full range of amenities, including cleansing oil and facial wash. Overall, it's still a great choice! Highly recommended."

"Good - The cabins are well insulated for weather & noise. Well appointed with pyjamas, towels, various bathroom supplies (extra can be obtained from snack room) complimentary noodles or frozen meals & bottled water/beer. The beds were soft & comfortable. The cabins were spotless.Equiped with a/c, air purifier & fan heater. In a quiet area of the neighbourhood. Great view of Mt Fuji from the rooftop balcony. Short walk to restaurants & 7/11. Average - I had difficulty completing the pre arrival registration however the staff quickly responded to emails helping me through the process. There are e-bikes & scooters for hire onsite. But you must have access to a Japanese phone number to register the app to hire them. Tourist Sim & pocket wifi don't allow a phone number it is data only. Bad - it is further away from the train station than shown on Google maps - allow 1.6klm to either Fujisan or Fuji-Q stations. The carpark is dirt. The cars or wind make a lot of dust. When raining or wet the dirt turns muddy making your shoes & suitcase dirty."

"It's has very cosy feel local Japanese Ryokan(BB) style and we love it. Not luxury, not to expensive but suitable if you looking for Ryokan in Fuji Mt. area. Included nice easy breakfast, not big for Americans but it's delicious. The location is not recommend for walking to, if you drive a car it will be perfect (free parking) Some may say it looks old, but to me I would say it looks vintage and classic you couldn't find in the city. *Only 10mins drive to famous cafe”paper moon”"

Fujiyoshida, located at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Perfect for both business and leisure. Close to Mt. Fuji Station

"Excellent, I loved it! I definitely have to go back and stay again. The view of Mount Fuji is absolutely stunning, and it's super close to the station. You have to get up early to snap photos of Fuji before it disappears! The room itself was fantastic, much better than other hotels I've stayed at. I really preferred this one. The room was beautiful, and the bathroom was great, with almost everything a luxury hotel offers. All the amenities you could need were provided, so you don't even have to bring your own. We chose the Japanese-style bedding with two futons, which was perfect for two people."

"I made a reservation on the day! Despite the fact that check-in was about 2 hours later than the principle due to the schedule, it was helpful to respond flexibly 🙏 It's a hotel in the mountains, so if you're not used to mountain roads, you may be quite anxious at night lol When you arrive, the master will be careful to turn on the entire hotel lights so that it's easy to understand. He was doing it! The hall is very beautiful, and it seems that there is a tea specialty store on the first floor for lunch. The room is a little old, but it was very clean and spacious 々 and it was easy to spend! Amenities were basic, such as towels, toothbrushes, shampoo body soaps! (There is no pajamas, so it is essential to bring it yourself) I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity."

A small guesthouse on Lake Yamanaka. Solo travelers welcome!

"With a view of Mt. Fuji right in front, you can also take evening walks. It is equipped with the latest air conditioner with humidity control, air purifier, ventilation fan, and bidet toilet. On the other hand, the replenishment of soap and other toiletries was inconsistent, and the bathroom was small, which was a bit disappointing. The amount of food was so large that you'd think, ”How can I eat all of this?!” Most people left some, but if you ate it all, you'd be too full to move. On the second day, I saved some for breakfast. Dinner costs 2,500 yen and is prepared from 6:30 PM, covered with plastic wrap in the kitchen. Cleanup seems to start around 8:00 PM, so it seems okay to go to the outside bath. It's unclear what time it's OK until. The landlady seems to be running the place by herself. She seemed kind, but it was difficult to get information. Instant coffee, hot water, and cups are available in the kitchen at any time. There are no drinks sold at the inn, but you can bring your own beer. There is one shared refrigerator on the first floor. I think it's the best value for money in this location."

"Perfect location with a view of Mt. Fuji right outside our window. The ryokan style accommodation was simple but very comfortable. The management was very trusting of their guests. You could purchase anything that is on sale and leave the money in a money box. They also provided free transfers to and from kawaguchiko bus station from 9 am. But because our bus to Kofu was going to leave at 9 am they were kind enough to drop us at 8:30am. We were very grateful. If I could suggest any improvement it would be to have a bathroom in all blocks. Right now it’s only in blockB and one has to walk a short distance from the other blocks to have a bath. They could also provide a change of towels after a few days. It’s all right if you’re doing a short stay but not if you’re staying for a week or more with no towel change. But all said we would return to this hotel if we went back to Kawaguchiko."

A very cozy and comfortable stay with an excellent location. You can see Mount Fuji right outside the door. The owner was very enthusiastic, offering tips on how to get great photos of Mount Fuji at different times of the day. Upon checkout, guests even received a set of beautiful Mount Fuji photos taken by the owner.

I arrived late at night from Fuji Station and had to pay 3,700 yen for a taxi. I was surprised when I got there because the house was located on a hill and the road was very dark. I asked the taxi driver to wait while I walked down to check. Luckily, the lights were on and I found the host waiting to welcome us warmly, even though it was already late. Owner had already prepared hot water and asked what time we would like to take a bath. She even guided us to a small onsen. The host was very attentive and kind. Although the place looked a bit scary at night from the outside, the inside was very warm and cozy. When I woke up the next morning, I felt completely rested. The room was clean, and the host’s hospitality made the whole experience feel so worthwhile. I felt like the money I spent was totally worth it—it gave me not only comfort but also beautiful memories. The atmosphere was like staying in a countryside vacation home—quiet, peaceful, and heartwarming. If you’re planning to rent a car, this is definitely a place I’d recommend. There’s a parking space, and it’s not crowded at all. I truly want to recommend this place!

The hotel is run by an elderly gentlemen, so we couldn’t reach him by e-mail when we wanted to send there our luggage, so we had to send it directly to our next location. The hotel itself is in a rather old building, so it doubtfully will be up to the most comfort-loving travelers‘ taste, but it was clean and neat, and the view from the room was amazing 😍 On the down part, since the building was old, as soon as more lodgers arrived there came a stinking smell from the bathroom with was rather unpleasant. Also I’d suggest bringing your own slippers, since the lodgers are required to take off their shoes right from the threshold as in the most traditional Japanese houses, so if you have issues with wearing slippers worn by anybody else before you, take your own. The futon beds were very comfy, however the blanket was rather hot for the weather (we went in April). All in all, you get all the most necessary things like toothbrushes, bathrobes, towels. For its price it’s very nice :) And the location is 25 min walk from Kawaguchiko station, and the walk is very nice with view of Fuji-san from many streets.

This is our second time staying at this hotel, and once again, we are absolutely thrilled! The location is a perfect 10 out of 10, with the bus and train stations literally just across the street. There are 7-Eleven and Lawson convenience stores nearby, a bank next door offering a great currency exchange rate, and plenty of souvenir shops and cozy restaurants around. As for the rooms, they offer the perfect value for money. Staying in a traditional Japanese-style room with a direct view of Mount Fuji is the best thing you could ever dream of! The hotel also features a wonderful onsen, which also looks out at the mountain. Everything is beautifully clean and well-maintained. The staff is incredibly polite and helpful. On the day we were supposed to check out, a typhoon was approaching, and our bus got rescheduled. The staff kindly offered us to stay and wait out the storm in a special recreation room with a TV and a ping-pong table, so we wouldn’t freeze outside in the rain. It was so incredibly sweet of them! Special thanks to the team for such amazing care! We will definitely come back again.

Had a wonderful time at this hostel! It’s quite social and the people working there are kind and fun to hang out with :) The kitchen facilities and common space are great. I loved the close proximity to Lawson, a supermarket and also the lake! I didn’t have time to rent a bike, but I like that they have bikes for rent. I also did laundry while I was there and that was very easy and the dryer was effective unlike some machines I’ve used elsewhere in Japan. The hostel is about a 20-min walk from Kawaguchiko station. There are bus stops nearby but the buses stop running quite early in the evening. I stayed in a 9-bed dorm on the second floor and one thing that’s lacking is curtains for each bed. I think that would really help everyone’s sleep quality since the room curtains often aren’t closed at night (by other guests) and it would give everyone more privacy. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hostel to anyone visiting the area!

This is a very traditional Japanese guesthouse, conveniently located near JR Kawaguchiko Station. It features tatami mat sleeping areas, and there's a restroom on every floor. My only minor complaints are that the sliding doors can be a bit noisy and the futons are a little old. Overall, I recommend staying here.

Room type: Small European style hotel, there are tatami rooms in the room, some rooms have open-air or private style, and there are also loans and cut-out styles (chartered styles). [ • Landscape: Many guests like ”Sitting in the living room and seeing Mount Fuji”, the scenery outside the window is very good, suitable for punching in and relaxing. • New and old equipment: the appearance of the building and the room are slightly old. Some passengers mentioned that the wallpaper cracks and the bathroom is slightly old, but the room is large and clean, and the equipment is complete. • Note: There are many stairs, which is not suitable for people with mobility problems or pushing a lot of luggage.

The hotel offers a beautiful lakeside view directly in front of Lake Shoji, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere throughout the stay. Although the property is quite old, it is well maintained and full of charming vintage Japanese character. The service was warm and attentive, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The location is especially convenient for travelers driving around the Fuji area, with easy access and a comfortable overall experience. We also reserved a private onsen for bathing, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Please note that the room itself did not include a shower — only a toilet — but this matched the traditional Japanese-style ryokan experience. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for travelers seeking an authentic, nostalgic Japanese atmosphere with beautiful scenery and genuine hospitality.

From the room, you can see Mount Fuji. It is very fast to go to the shore of Hirano. If you want to see the morning sunshine in Jinshan, you can open the curtains to see the clarity of Mount Fuji today and then decide whether to go downstairs. There is a private bathroom in the room. The room is large and the hotel is not new overall. You have to carry your luggage upstairs without elevator. It takes7-8 minutes to drag your luggage from Hirano bus station to the hotel.
