"We stayed at Villa Costa during our Biwaichi tour. The hotel was perfect for this, as it's close to the lake and easily reachable from Kyoto by bicycle in a day. The room was very clean, and they provided plenty of toiletries like skin creams. The bathroom also had a bathtub, which was very relaxing after a long day of cycling. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, and even though it's a romantic hotel, we didn't hear any unpleasant noises or anything like that. All in all, a very pleasant stay and highly recommended."

"From the outside, I thought it looked like an old building. The room was spacious and, while a bit dated, it was clean. The complimentary drinks selection was excellent and enjoyable."

"Excellent location, right at the station. Check in 16h00. No wifi offered. Hotel access via public restaurant - feels weird to walk between diners to go out / return. Lockers far too narrow even for airline carry-on. Bathroom is clean, shower has small dry area, and water pressure varies. Capsules are spacious with power socket, lights, shelf, etc. The mattress is a few cm thick piece of soft foam and is so worn that it feels like a slab of concrete wrapped in a sheet. Very uncomfortable! And I am 77kg, not overweight. The pillow is a bag filled with what feels like gravel stones. Breakfast comprises one hot / cold drink, a small pile of lettuce leaves with dressing, a thick slab of white bread that is scored about half way deep into a small chessboard and very lightly toasted, and a thimble-size serving of sweet fruit yoghurt. They do offer to hold luggage until 16h00 after check-out, and collecting it is easy and fast."

"This glamp site pales in comparison to the one we stayed last year near Tokyo. Room is smaller, BBQ dinner was not fantastic and there was no onsen. Staff were pleasant though."

The breakfast at the hotel is also quite rich, with a wide variety, many are also local ingredients in Wuhu, the taste is also good, it is highly recommended ～ The point is here! The host and hostess of Sangu Hotel is super warm and courteous! After learning that I am a foreigner, I also take care of it! When I went to Changbin Wharf and Datong Temple, the owner took the initiative to lead the way. On the way, he also introduced the famous things of Changbin. The male owner's hair was a bit white but full of vitality. He must be very fond of the customs of Changbin. Before leaving, the two shopkeepers also sent me a set of postcards for the Changbin Lushan Festival. What a lovely couple of people 😄 I was traveling alone and chose this hotel by mistake. I never thought it was the biggest surprise of this trip. I stayed in Nagahama for a short time. It was a day and a night, and the sky was not beautiful, and it was mostly raining. But fortunately, I met the Sangu Hotel, and the memory of Nagabin is the warmth of spring rain. I wish the owner and his wife a healthy and healthy couple, and I will stay for a few more nights for Sangu Hotel if I pass by Changbin in the future."
