In 2022, Zhengzhou aquarium's polar animal world debuted as scheduled, offering innovative immersive marine vacation experiences with abundant biological resources and distinctive atmospheric scenes. Accompanied by the sea, over 10,000 rare polar marine creatures including beluga whales, dolphins, and penguins gather here. True to its blue essence, three themed exhibition areas - polar animal world, marine aquarium world, and Mediterranean town - showcase global marine landscapes. Additionally, the marine research academy and overnight marine camping present charming experiences for nightlife enthusiasts to "sleep with the fishes".

Zhengzhou aquarium is divided into three main themed exhibition areas: polar animal world, marine aquarium world, and Mediterranean town. The recommended visiting time is 3-4 hours. Suggested route: marine aquarium world 1F freshwater gallery, 2F coral sea life gallery → underwater tunnel exit → polar animal world 1F elevator to 8F → 8F, 7F dolphin bay → 6F beluga sea → 5F, 4F beluga theater → 3F+, 3F penguin island → Mediterranean town amphibian gallery → Mediterranean town dolphin theater → Mediterranean gift shop → visitor center exit.
1. Polar animal world
As the featured experience of Zhengzhou aquarium phase ii, the polar animal world is truly deserving. It features a globally unique immersive stereoscopic water curtain and a 20 m wide-screen open space for an immersive marine experience. The polar animal world, standing eight stories tall, primarily consists of four venues where you can respectively admire rare polar animals such as spotted dolphins, dolphins, beluga whales, penguins, arctic wolves, and arctic foxes.
At Huajing dolphin bay, the Viking captain's call mobilized friends from around the world to embark on this marine "whale wonder" journey. Follow the beluga angels to explore the underwater world, savoring the romantic ballad of swimming with love under the blue healing embrace. The adorable gentlemen at the Antarctic penguin pavilion enjoy their happy moments in a snowy white world. A trace of sobriety preserved in the fantasy realm is effortlessly lost in the dazzling Zhengzhou aquarium - jellyfish palace, until a howl from the Arctic Ocean pulls one back to reality. 2. Aquarium water world
The main venues of the aquarium water world include four venues: the Amazon rainforest pavilion, ocean theater, underwater tunnel aquarium, and coral sea life aquarium, where you can admire thousands of freshwater and marine species such as South American sea lions, East Asian finless porpoises, arapaimas, rays, stingrays, and sharks.
Walk through the 70 m long underwater tunnel and immerse yourself in the marine world; "coral grows on the seabed, forming forests with five to seven clusters, known as coral forests." Here, groups of corals connect to form a sea, requiring a 576-megapixel super camera for a firsthand experience.
3. Mediterranean town
The Mediterranean town, with its castle-style appearance, seamlessly connects the polar animal world, marine aquarium world, and dolphin theater. This theme park creates joy for visitors with entertaining attractions including the dolphin show theater, sea lion habitat, seabird beach, crocodile pool, and amphibian reptile pavilion.
In addition to the three main themed exhibition areas, the Mediterranean gift shop offers a wide variety of souvenirs for visitors to choose from, featuring premium products from Changqiao to cherish every moment with marine animals. Within the venue, there are also the town restaurant and various themed restaurants such as the beluga restaurant, penguin restaurant, and sea lion restaurant, allowing visitors to enjoy delicious meals.

Show More ReviewsThe shows at the venue are excellent. I highly recommend arriving 20 minutes before the show starts to secure a seat, as arriving at the last minute means you'll likely miss out. This is especially true for the dolphin show; I suggest queuing half an hour in advance. The show is truly spectacular, but it's also incredibly crowded. And please, please, please don't sit in the first six rows, or you'll get soaked! The first three rows are practically a "shower" (the dolphin trainer, Hu Yu, is a "bad guy"—he walks around the audience, and with a wave of his hand, the dolphins' tails splash water). The venue has eight floors. I suggest checking the program schedule in the morning and watching the shows first. For lunch, avoid the outdoor restaurant to the left of the dolphin theater entrance (facing the entrance) for roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), cold noodles, or jelly—they're terrible, and I don't recommend buying them. In the afternoon, take the elevator to the 8th floor and look down from each floor. ★★★Thanks★★★ A big thank you to the cleaning lady, Zhang Yanjiang, who carefully found and retrieved my phone from the restroom during her cleaning and immediately turned it in to the lost and found. Your conscientiousness and responsibility not only prevented me from losing money, but also made me feel the warmth and trust of the staff and people in the scenic area. This kindness, which goes beyond my job duties, is the most touching scene in the park. I sincerely salute you and thank your organization for cultivating such an outstanding employee! 🙏
