Visiting Singapore's Universal Studios on a Sunday proved to be a great decision, especially with the purchase of the Express Pass. While regular lines had wait times of 40-45 minutes, the Express Pass allowed us to skip the queues and enjoy the attractions directly. We entered the park at 10:15 AM and left at 5:30 PM, spending seven hours without revisiting any attractions. Our pace was leisurely, with time spent shopping and having lunch. We didn't follow any specific guides or routes, just explored the park freely, which is quite small and manageable. Here are the top attractions that made it to my favorites list: 1️⃣ The Mummy Roller Coaster: This ride combines thrilling roller coaster action with immersive scenarios. It's exciting without being too scary, despite some reviews mentioning nausea. We had no issues, although the Express Pass lane itself felt like a haunted house with eerie music and deserted corridors. 2️⃣ Transformers: A small roller coaster with 3D effects. Although the 3D feels slightly outdated, the immersive experience is still enjoyable. My five-year-old nephew loved it and wanted to ride it multiple times. 3️⃣ Dragon Flight School: A small roller coaster suitable for young children. Staff members even applaud upon completion. 4️⃣ Shrek 4D Movie: The castle is picturesque, and the movie's scenarios are easy to understand even without English proficiency. The sudden water sprays and vibrations add to the immersive experience. 5️⃣ Puss in Boots' Giant Journey: A family-friendly mini roller coaster with adorable scenarios. Remember to manage your expressions for the photo taken near the end. The "Must-Do" attractions: 1️⃣ Canopy Flyer: Without an Express Pass, the wait was 30 minutes, and the ride ended quickly, leaving a feeling of abruptness. 2️⃣ Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure: Felt a bit short with average scenarios. (Raincoat recommended) 3️⃣ Sesame Street Spaghetti Space Chase: Suitable for very young children, it's an indoor train ride. Uncertain about: The Puss in Boots Movie Set: The pre-show is lengthy, and the main scenario lasts five minutes with unimpressive effects. It was right next to the hotel, so it was easy to use. ✔️ Dancing Crab was convenient with no waiting, and the crab was full of meat and really delicious. Personally, it was tastier than Jumbo. After spending the morning to afternoon at the waterpark, in the evening we lightly relaxed by walking from Siloso Beach to Tanjong Beach using the free shuttle. ✔️ Dolphin Island can be used together with the waterpark or aquarium and requires advance reservation. ⏰️ Day 4 (Adventure, accommodation: Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa) Universal Studios + Ocea Seafood & Grill ✔️ We used the free shuttle operated within Sentosa Island to get to Universal Studios. ✔️ Popular attractions had long lines during the day, but from 1 hour 30 minutes before closing, you could use them almost without waiting. ✔️ A 5-year-old boy could ride some rides, and there were many shows, so it wasn’t boring even after a long time. ✔️ Universal Studios allows re-entry. ✔️ Ocea Seafood & Grill, where we had dinner, is a Michelin-listed restaurant and was very clean. ⏰️ Day 5 (City travel, accommodation: Pan Pacific Singapore) Duck Tour > Supertree > Marina Bay Sands ✔️ After enjoying the facilities at Shangri-La Rasa until the morning, we moved to the city. (Kids facilities can be used even after checkout) ✔️ For my son who loves rides, we took the 'Duck Tour' to explore Singapore. If you want to see a wider area, try the double-decker bus tour. ✔️ We visited cafes and restaurants in the city and watched the Supertree show in the evening. (Operates at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM, free) If you have time, it’s good to visit Gardens by the Bay as well. ✔️ Marina Bay Sands has various food facilities, so we dined there. ✔️ You can also enjoy the fountain show in front of Marina Bay Sands. (Fountain shows daily at 8 PM, 9 PM, and on Fridays/Saturdays at 10 PM for 15 minutes, free) ⏰️ Day 6 (City adventure + Return) Zoo visit ✔️ After checkout, we took a taxi to the zoo. (About 30 minutes, cost about 25,000 KRW) ✔️ The zoo was very hot, humid, and not very hygienic, so it was tough. It’s a place I wouldn’t visit again if I travel. However, feeding the rhinos was a rare experience. ✔️ We used the shower facilities at the hotel before boarding the plane. (Shower facilities can be used if requested in advance at checkout) I traveled with my 5-year-old son, doing only 1-2 experiences per day, enjoying city, relaxation, and adventure all together. On the first day, we stayed at a sea view hotel in Sentosa—good view! Then we went to Skal on the 70th floor, the restaurant has an unbeatable view! The next day, we walked to Universal Studios. It was my first time staying at a hotel within walking distance to Universal! After playing, downstairs was the casino where we played a few rounds; the atmosphere was pretty good! In the evening, we ate at Song Fa Bak Kut Teh—highly recommend if you want to try bak kut teh! Later, we went to 99 Old Tree to eat durian if you dare; I definitely don’t dare. The next day at noon, we had Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice, which was super delicious, and Ya Kun, which I personally thought was just okay, not bad though. After eating, we went to take photos at the Merlion, then went to Jumbo Seafood, which isn’t cheap, so it depends on how you want to eat. After dark, we went to Marina Bay Sands to watch the water dance show and take photos—it was great! The next day, we just walked around the beach, strolled, soaked up the sun, and got ready to head back!
