The trip to Singapore is complete, so let me tell you some honest thoughts.
During the season when the Northern Hemisphere is covered in ice and snow, I embarked on a journey to Singapore, a vibrant and charming city-state that shines like a dazzling jewel near the equator. Next, I’ll share my travel experience with you all, hoping to help you plan a perfect winter trip to Singapore!
📍Overview
Singapore, a city-state with an area of only 733.2 square kilometers, blends diverse cultures, cuisines, and architectural styles. It is summer all year round, with an average annual temperature between 24 - 27℃, making it an excellent winter getaway. The transportation here is convenient, with a well-developed public transit system, and English is widely spoken, so even first-time travelers can get around easily.
🌟What to do
Gardens by the Bay🌷: This super garden features two huge cooled conservatories—the Flower Dome and the Cloud Forest. The Flower Dome showcases exotic flowers and plants from around the world, with different themed floral exhibitions each season, making you feel like you’re in a dreamy sea of flowers. The Cloud Forest simulates a tropical mountain rainforest environment, with a towering man-made waterfall and misty scenery, transporting you to a mysterious fairyland. Walk along the skyway for a breathtaking view of the entire garden.
Sentosa Island🏝️: Singapore’s most famous resort destination, with many fun attractions. Universal Studios is a paradise for movie fans and thrill-seekers, featuring seven themed zones, 24 rides, and shows for endless excitement and joy. The S.E.A. Aquarium houses over 100,000 marine creatures; strolling through the underwater tunnel feels like an intimate encounter with ocean life. Palawan Beach is a great place to relax, and you can cross a suspension bridge to the southernmost island of the Asian continent, perfect for meaningful photo ops.
Merlion Park🐟: Singapore’s iconic landmark—you must take a photo with the Merlion! This statue, with a lion’s head and fish body, stands 8.6 meters tall, and the water spouting from its mouth symbolizes Singapore’s prosperity. Here, you can enjoy beautiful views of Marina Bay and feel the city’s charm.
Singapore Zoo🦍: Known as one of the best zoos in the world, it features an open design where animals live in environments close to their natural habitats. You can observe various rare animals up close and participate in feeding and interactive activities, making it a perfect choice for family trips. The Night Safari is especially unique, where you explore the mysterious world of nocturnal wildlife by tram in the dark, experiencing a one-of-a-kind nighttime adventure.
Haji Lane🌈: A street full of artistic vibes, with many unique shops, cafes, and graffiti walls. Stroll along Haji Lane, pick out some creative souvenirs, or sit down at a street-side café to enjoy a rich cup of coffee and soak in Singapore’s leisurely atmosphere.
🍱What to eat
Chili Crab🦀: Singapore’s national dish, absolutely not to be missed! Plump crabs paired with a rich, spicy tomato chili sauce create a flavorful and unforgettable taste. You can dip fried buns into the sauce, alternating bites of bun and crab for an explosion of happiness.
Hainanese Chicken Rice🐔: A seemingly simple dish with unique charm. The chicken is tender and juicy, the rice absorbs the aroma of chicken broth, and it’s served with special chili sauce and ginger scallion sauce, each bite full of Southeast Asian flavor.
Bak Kut Teh🍲: A soup made by simmering pork bones with Chinese herbs, rich in flavor and nutrition. It’s often eaten with fried dough sticks, which you soak in the soup to absorb the broth, creating a special taste.
Satay🐮: Skewered grilled meats, usually chicken, beef, or lamb, brushed with special satay sauce and grilled until golden and fragrant. Served with cucumber, onions, and sweet Malay sauce, the taste is rich and layered.
Pandan Cake🧁: A cake made with pandan leaves, giving it a fresh aroma. The cake is soft and moderately sweet, one of the traditional desserts loved by Singaporeans.

This is my winter Singapore travel guide. I hope you can also spend an unforgettable holiday in this beautiful city! 🎈
We were picked up by a professional driver at Sentosa Island and arrived at the island at 9:30 in the morning. There were not many tourists there, so we had a great time around the world all day. In the evening, we watched the Wings of Time show at the beach. We didn't feel tired at the end of the day and had a very fulfilling and happy time!
Value for money: All rides in Singapore require reservations, which we didn't realize before arriving, so we ended up having to buy an Optima Pass to ride on the day. Highlights: I've never tried this in China, but it was quite fun. There are four slides in total, and they aren't very long, so the ride ends quickly. However, buying three rides felt like more than enough. The kids had a blast. Summary: You have to wait in line at the scheduled time, so plan your time well before coming, otherwise it'll be too hot. Bringing a DJI neckband to shoot is also expensive for photos and videos.
Sentosa Island is very good, the theme park has more projects, Jurassic Park, Xiaohuangren, etc. On the island, the ecology is mainly good, there are many birds, and I have seen seagulls, peacocks and lizards. The accommodation is more expensive. The hotel does not provide breakfast. Others are OK.
I went to the island to play luge. I didn't expect it to be so popular in Singapore in the past two years. You have to make an appointment in advance to buy tickets, otherwise you can't get the time you want to play. Today, I walked from VivoCity to the island to take the train. It was really close and convenient. There was no need to spend money to take the MRT train from VivoCity. You can play on the beach at will. There are also free showers, which is very convenient. You can play on the island for a day.
If you have the opportunity to stay in a city for a few more days, living like a local instead of visiting tourist attractions, I think this is the best way to understand a city. There are a lot of tourists coming to Singapore. One of the attractions that every tour group must visit is the Merlion and other places. There are so many people here that it is difficult to take a perfect photo without anyone else around. In fact, urban things are almost the same no matter where you go. It is better to explore more nature, or at least places that are better integrated with nature, so that you can really relax your busy nerves. I think that although Singapore is also a highly developed modern city, its natural environment in the concrete jungle is also very well managed. It is known as the "Garden City". It is clean, tidy, comfortable and pleasant. The land area is not large, but the greening rate is very high. The flora and fauna fully reflect the characteristics of tropical islands. There are no famous scenic spots and mountains here, but the city has been carefully built into a large garden. With a good natural environment, various birds naturally live and reproduce here. The green trees, coconut breeze, sea rhythm, birdsong and flowers have made this place a bird kingdom. Singapore does have many things worth learning from
Stepping into Sentosa Island is like breaking into a dreamland favored by time, every inch of air is filled with leisure and comfort. This resort, which integrates theme parks, tropical resorts, natural parks and cultural centers, is like a pearl set in the southern waters of Singapore, exudes a unique and charming charm. As soon as I landed on the island, my sight was caught by the white sandy beach and the clear sea. The waves gently beat the coast, playing a soothing natural movement; the sun was shining on the beach, like a fine layer of gold, shining. Walking on the beach, the soles of your feet are delicate and soft gravel, the head is swaying with the wind of coconut trees, the sea breeze wrapped in the sea's unique salty and wet atmosphere, every breath is full of the taste of the tropical seaside, the fatigue of the journey is instantly dissipated. In Universal Studios, I embarked on a wonderful adventure through the world of cinema. On Hollywood Boulevard, the retro buildings and the gorgeous lights of the street immediately pulled me back to that golden age. The seven themed areas are unique, the mysterious pyramids of ancient Egypt contain unknown challenges, and Madagascar's animals warmly invite me to revel. In the ultimate battle of Transformers, I seem to be a brave and fearless warrior, fighting alongside Optimus Prime and fighting against evil forces. This immersive battle, realistic special effects, shocking sound effects, let me immerse in it, thrilling and exciting experience made my heart beat faster, but I couldn't stop.
The Skyline Luge in Sentosa is quite fun. We played four times. Different colors and different curves, but they are all similar. In fact, I think the value for money is quite good because it includes the zipline and 4 cable cars. Now it is off-season and there are not many people, so you don’t have to queue too long. It costs more than 30 MYR per person. If children are not tall enough, they can ride with adults for only 12 MYR.
