Was a great experience, although was so cold out on the boat we didn’t get off and came straight back as we got near enough to the statue without all the crowds! Would recommend!

As the ferry approached the Statue of Liberty, the bronze statue gradually revealed its solemn outline through the morning mist. The sea breeze was strong, making my skirt flutter. Looking up at her raised torch, I suddenly remembered my grandmother saying, "That was the first hope countless immigrants saw when they landed." Climbing the pedestal, I touched the mottled patina on the inside of the spiral staircase, my fingertips brushing against initials carved by a craftsman in 1912. The most breathtaking view was from the crown window—the Manhattan skyline resembled a phantom made of stacked blocks, while Ellis Island lay silently in the distance, seemingly still bearing the trembling of millions who first set foot on the New World. On the way back, I saw a child carefully placing a replica of the statue into his backpack, and at that moment I suddenly understood: freedom has never been a grand concept, but rather something upheld to this day by countless moments like these.
To see the Statue of Liberty on Liberty Island, you need to buy tickets in advance, the earliest boat is 9 o'clock. The boat dock is in Battery Park, very close to the Wall Street Copper Bull. The park itself is not big, but you can also stroll around. You need to check in before taking the boat, and then line up, so you have to arrive early. Get on the boat or stand in front of the right side of the boat to see the Statue of Liberty with the best view. The second or third floors are fine. The boat time is about 20 minutes. After going to the island, it is mainly to see the Statue from multiple perspectives. There are pedestal tickets and crown tickets. If you have bad legs, don't buy crown tickets. There is also a museum on the island, the interpreter can be picked up for free, there is Chinese. After returning to Alice Island, you can't disembark if you don't want to see it, and you can come back directly to the pier.
It was very interesting to take a boat to see the Statue of Liberty in New York. You can also see the whole Manhattan scenery. The Statue of Liberty is very big and tall. The Statue of Liberty: Green Rust Mottled American Fable This bronze sculpture presented by the French has long been the most expensive postcard in New York. As you take the crowded ferry near Liberty Island, you will see the goddess' rusty abrasive glow in the sun - an inch thick layer of oxide, just like the hard-to-ignore years of pulp on the surface of the American Dream. The experience of the crown is full of metaphors. The process of climbing the 354-level spiral staircase is like the struggle of new immigrants: the more up space the more forced, the final look out from the 25 small windows of the crown, the Manhattan skyline becomes a cut-out fragment. In front of the poem tablet of the new giant on the pedestal, tourists from all over the country took turns taking pictures with the verses of "Give me your tired", and the number of strollers in the security team suggested that the migrant story was still being written. The most moving moment was at dusk. When the sun set on the torch, the saxophonists on the cruise ship began to play "America the Beautiful". At this time, the goddess turned back to Wall Street and faced the Atlantic Ocean - a position that has been held for 137 years, whether to welcome or farewell.
The moment you get close to the Statue of Liberty by boat, you will still be shocked. She stands tall on the sea, holding a torch, symbolizing freedom and hope, as if welcoming travelers from afar. Standing on the island and looking up at it from a close distance, you can truly feel the magnificence of this statue. The details are more exquisite than you imagined, and the heavy sense of history is overwhelming. Climbing up to the pedestal or the crown to overlook, you can see the skyline of Manhattan in full view, and the port scenery is vast and magnificent, making people can't help but take a few more photos. The museum on the island exhibits the historical background of the statue. Seeing the story of the first time people saw the statue during the immigration period, you can better understand what it means to countless people. Standing in front of the Statue of Liberty under the sea breeze, I actually felt an indescribable awe and emotion in my heart.
To reach the top of the statue, it is recommended to book on the official website at least 4 months in advance. I booked 2 months in advance but still couldn't get a ticket, so I only got to the base. But it was not bad, most people who travel with a group or buy Taobao tickets or city passes can't get to the base. It rained heavily the day I went there, which was quite intoxicating, hahaha, but it stopped soon after I got to the island, so I was lucky to experience a different style of the statue.
