The iconic Alishan Forest Railway is a gorgeous, retro way to enter the park—highly recommended if you’ve got time. Hot Tips from My Adventure: · Arrive early for the sunrise! The first train up to Zhushan viewing platform is a must. There will be crowds, but it’s so worth it for the golden hour glow. · Pack layers—the weather here flips fast, mist to sun to chilly breezes in a blink. · Don’t bother with taxis; buses run regularly from Chiayi, and the park is super walkable. · Grab coffee at a mountain café—Alishan beans are famous and totally hit different up here.
