"Since the hotel is located in a safe area, we walked to dinner. There are various kinds of restaurants nearby. Our main purpose was to visit WashU, and the hotel had very convenient access to the school.
It was also easy to get from the parking lot to the hotel. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower had a panel for adjusting the temperature and good water pressure. Breakfast included fresh omelets and waffles, and the coffee was delicious. The food was replenished frequently. We chose this hotel based on reviews, and we truly felt it offered great value for the price."

"The service of the hotel was very good. Everyone was very kind and courteous. The hotel that was staying at 12 o'clock in the afternoon at 3 o'clock wanted to send the luggage and went out to stay at three o'clock before returning. I didn't expect the hotel staff to have a room to let us stay first. . The sanitation of the room is actually quite good, that is, there are a lot of black crumbs on the sheets, so I only give 3 points. Breakfast is a good hotel in the United States, there are hot food, there are some, counted rich!"

Friendly and helpful front desk. Comfortable room on top floor. Large comfortable shared lounge and games area if wanted for a group. Convenient location to universities and train station or town amenities by car or walking. Unfortunately, there is no on-site parking, but you can get advice for where in the city to park.

Disappointing Stay – Would Strongly Advise Against Booking
I traveled to Festus for a car show and needed a budget-friendly hotel near local amenities. While this property met that basic requirement, nearly every other aspect of my stay was a disappointment—and at times, unacceptable.
To start, the hotel was unbearably hot inside. There was no functioning indoor air conditioning, and the common areas remained well above 80 degrees throughout my stay. Check-in was quick, but the front desk staff seemed unfamiliar with the facility—unable to even direct me to the pool, which I never located due to the complete lack of signage.
The complimentary breakfast was, frankly, insulting. The food options were minimal and unappetizing—particularly the English muffins, which were so hard they could double as hockey pucks. The oppressive heat made it nearly impossible to sit and eat in the dining area anyway.
My room, while clean, was far from comfortable. The mattress was extremely hard—comparable to sleeping on bare concrete—and the cramped toilet and shower area offered no room to move. Several cockroaches were spotted both in my room and in common areas, raising serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.
While I understand the hotel is currently under construction and the staff I interacted with were courteous, that alone cannot excuse the overall experience. The current conditions are simply not acceptable for paying guests.
I had high hopes for this location but left deeply disappointed. Unless you have absolutely no other options within your budget, or until after renovations are fully completed (well beyond 2025), I strongly advise against staying here. I will not be returning.

An absolutely great location that is right across the street from the new St. Louis city soccer stadium, it's two blocks walking distance from the city market Union station area. It's easily accessible just off of I64.
The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and fairly well stocked. And the one downside would be the in room refrigerator. It was very tiny and had no freezer section, which depending on the visitor they may or may not need. I am coming from far enough away and with children that I needed to refreeze freezer packs for snacks.
The breakfast each morning was okay. It was scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs with cheese plus sausage. One morning it was a choice of turkey, sausage patties or pork sausage patties, while the next day was a choice of pork sausage links or chicken sausage links. Links. Plus they had the standard bread, English muffin, bagels, muffin, fruit. The downside would be the lack of waffle maker. I don't know why that makes a difference, because I don't really eat waffles. But my kid loves waffles and loves to make them. And instead of having a waffle maker, they had a hot plate filled with pre-made bagged frozen waffles that they had preheated for everybody. Oh yeah in my pics you'll see a pic of my kid's milk. IT wasn't expired, but the ad on it was and it gave me quite a scare when I saw it.
And depending on plans, and what I need to be close to, if need be I will definitely stay here again with my family. The area was safe, clean, and I forgot the funniest part... Directly across the street from the FBI. LOL 😂🚓🚔

ReedPThis is the 3rd or 4th time we've stayed here (I say 3, wife says 4 😂) and this time was definitely our least favorite. We'll still try it again but the amenities weren't up to previous stays.
I have booked the same style of room (1 King + Sofa Bed) every time, and we got that... But DANG was it tiny! There was literally 6-8 inches of walking room. The bathroom was overly spacious and the room could've used some of that.
The breakfast was rough too. Previously there were waffle makers, oatmeal, and other great hot options. This stay had eggs 👍 and shredded cheese 👍. While I give props for including a meatless ”sausage”, the standard pork sausage was mislabeled. The waffle selection was mismanaged. They offered a ”waffle with pearl sugar”, which is fine bc we've had those at other places. BUT instead of leaving the waffles in their single serve pouches, the employee was standing there opening them and putting them in the service container. 1) that's unnecessary touching by the employee & slobs who don't know what tongs are. 2) if kept in its package THEY WON'T DRY OUT. Also 3) in its package it's a perfect food for the grab and go guests.
Every single staff member we interacted with was AMAZING! The front desk, housekeeping, etc were all wonderful. We will be back, but definitely might need a different approach to the room.

Location was fine. Room seemed standard level of clean. Toilet paper is ultra thin, and the soap and shampoo was very watered down, so I left the room feeling dirty. Sofa bed was so substandard that we wouldn't let our 12 year old sleep on it. The springs really dig into your back. Everything seemed clean, but felt so cheap that we felt cheap staying there. Coffee machine in the room was broken and it didn't seem worth the effort to complain about it. Ex-wife complained about the air conditioner next to the bed being too loud and coming on and off all night long that she had issues sleeping. Breakfast was solid, though. Waffle station was a hit, though the oatmeal, like the soap and shampoo, was very watery. Eggs and sausage were above average. No sliced bread, though they offered English muffins and bagels. Staff was very friendly. Best part about the stay was how amicable they all were. Makes me feel bad writing the rest of the review. Would probably avoid the hotel in the future if there were better options. It's passable, but doesn't live up to my standards and doesn't seem worth the price.

I really only booked the room to have a place to sleep and shower for two nights, and the hotel got one of these right. The shower was a problem because, when the shower was turned on, water would gather on the ceiling and rain down. It was very unpleasant, so I skipped a shower on my second night, took a video of the problem, and shared my concern and the video with hotel staff when I checked out. Other than that, the room and common areas seemed to be mostly clean, although I cleaned things in the room that housekeeping clearly didn't get to (e.g., a sticky microwave knob). I also found the elevators intolerably hot. Yes, it was record heat outside, but I don't understand why the elevator cars weren't air conditioned like the rest of the hotel common areas. As for breakfast, it was okay for consumers of the standard American diet - I.e., high fat, high sugar - and, as a whole-food plant-based consumer, not terribly appealing. But, this is mid-America.

Guest UserBeautiful 1800 mansion like a museum, very original, well maintained, very clean. As it is promoted as Bed and Breakfast, we were expecting some sort of service, but it was truly self service AirBnB style. First, the house was very cold especially in the bedroom sleeping at night. Second, the breakfast was a disappointment. The description talked about have the access to the kitchen 24 hours especially breakfast. When we went to the kitchen in the morning, there was almost no food there. No eggs in the fridge. The cut watermelon in the container stores in the fridge was like days old and left over with just a few pieces there. There was some lettuce in a container but it was old with red/brown color on them. I found one cup of yogurt but it was expired on 4/7. While we were enjoying the historic house and experience, but we didn’t see the value of the money we pay.
