3-Star Hotels in Central Visayas, Philippines

That's the end of our stay at this hotel in the executive suite. What we liked: Hotel location; Gorgeous landscapes from the room window; Pool area; Spacious swimming pool; Spacious room; The pool is properly planned; Very cute dogs and cats. They cheered us up.; The staff is very polite and tries to help with everything.; Relaxing massage; There was oatmeal on the breakfast menu, which is rare in the Philippines.; Your requests are being listened to. What didn't you like: A small selection of paid breakfast. There is no buffet and you need to choose from the menu. But you can only choose 1 dish and drink for each one. In other words, don't expect to try even a couple of dishes for prepaid money. Here you can choose only 1 dish for breakfast. The rest is paid. It became clear only on the 3rd day of the stay, as they could not understand how the breakfast system worked. We were charged 390 Philippine pesos for SPAM (or rather, three slices of local ham). It's expensive for this kind and quantity of food. •On the last day, the cost of paying for a fruit plate increased. It was 350 pesos, it became 400. •When ordering tom yam, we asked for additional shrimp (+250 pesos). We were served soup with 7 shrimp halves. We still haven't figured out how many shrimps there would have been without the extra ones we paid for. 🙈We thought they forgot to add additional ones. Then we saw the bill and additional shrimps were deposited. •Few seafood dishes. Considering that you are 50 meters from the sea. There are also few products with vegetables. We suffered because of this. There was no light food. •The leaves in each salad were stale. •Service fees were from everything. We understand when the service fee is for food, but we still don't understand why the fee was for a massage. That is, the fee for the massage + the service FEE for the massage. •There were also fees for filming shark swimming on our phone. We also did not understand why the fee, if the tour itself cost 7,500 pesos + 300 pesos was a service fee (again, we do not understand why it is not included in the total cost of the tour) + 260 pesos for shooting on the phone; I was disappointed that when booking an excursion to swim with sharks for 7,500 pesos, fishing was included, but no one offered it to us. They just took us, we swam and brought it back. They say the tour took 5 hours, but it was two and a half hours. •Hand soap has not been refilled in two days; • The automatic circulation of water in the pool was rarely turned on, so we swam with flies for two days... trying to catch them from there; •The performers were an hour late for the first tour, and 30 minutes late for the second. We don't understand why our time wasn't respected. • One shower wasn't working. There was no water coming out of it; • Often they didn't bring half of the dish. That is, if you ordered a meat plate with grapes, cheese and crackers, be prepared that I may not bring you crackers, but there will be 3 pieces of cheese. That's for 590 pesos. We ordered this plate twice, and two times we didn't get any crackers. The second time we asked and they informed us. Also, when ordering mashed potatoes with chicken, they brought us chicken without mashed potatoes. We asked and were informed. Everything was already cold. They didn't add a banana to the banana pancakes. Unfortunately, curtains are not blackout, for those who cannot sleep without them, bring a sleep mask. I write absolutely all the little things, as I am very careful about the service. I really liked this hotel. In any case, I recommend it wholeheartedly. After all, they communicate politely with you here, there are gorgeous views from a spacious room, and there is a large swimming pool. But I have to write down the little things so that the management can improve the quality of service so that staying at this hotel leaves only positive emotions for absolutely everyone! After all, the hotel is really beautiful!

A small, cozy hotel with clean, well-maintained rooms and beautiful grounds. You can always grab a meal at the restaurant. The staff was incredibly helpful; they assisted us with booking a ferry, arranging transfers, and even drove us around to see the sights.

I had a wonderful stay at Mandarin Plaza Hotel Cebu. The location is excellent, especially because it is just a short walk to Ayala Center, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I also enjoyed the swimming pool and the relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always willing to assist whenever I needed something. What I appreciate most is the combination of comfort, convenience, and good value for money. It feels like a hotel I can comfortably come back to whenever I’m in Cebu.

The Hotel and staff did really well during the Sinulog festival! They organised workshop and provided gifts and souvenirs. It is also very close to one of the main festival areas. The only disappointment was the kaldereta we ordered from the kitchen which was ridiculously small amount (1 piece of meat). However there are many restaurants nearby. Hairdryer needs extra payment of 100 peso per night.

We had an amazing 4-day stay at Yello Hotel. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay, making it easy to relax after a long day. We also loved the cozy atmosphere of the hotel and the convenient location, which made it easy to access nearby restaurants, malls, and other places around the city. The service exceeded my expectations, and the overall experience felt smooth and hassle-free.

It's a mixed bag. The location is excellent, offering a different, good sea every day. For safe swimming, you need to follow the tide schedule. The hotel grounds and plants are very well maintained; they're beautiful and clean. There's a long stretch of beach for strolls. Logistically convenient – there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops selling travel essentials, and a market with fresh produce nearby. A major drawback is the large construction site nearby, which can be heard all day, especially in the bungalows nearby. The rooms and bungalows are in fair condition. However, there are some serious downsides: every other day, it was impossible to shower due to low water pressure; when the pressure was low, the water heater wouldn't turn on; and the water had a strong sewer smell. At breakfast, the restaurant won't offer you salt, pepper, or sauces unless you ask. Drinks include juice from concentrate or coffee. Only after a week did we discover they offer tea for breakfast. The breakfast is very basic, and there's no fruit at all, which is surprising given the price of fruit on the island. There was trash on the beach all week, just a little bit, washed up by the sea. It was cleaned up quickly, as it didn't require much effort. But why is the beach cleaned only once a week? The hotel website advertises a shuttle service, but I advise against it. Personal experience: I sent a text message and email to the hotel on time; our ferry departed at 5:30 PM. We arrived on the island around 7:00 PM. We weren't met. We got there ourselves. A hotel security guard met us at the hotel and gave us our room keys. It immediately became clear that the light switch in the bathroom was causing lightning and could shock us, and the water heater wasn't working. The security guard said, ”Take this up with the management tomorrow; my concern is safety.” Information about room problems is not passed on to the management. So, we spent the first night without hot water or power in the bathroom. After we contacted them, they gave us a working room mid-way through the second day. They didn't apologize for the missed shuttle service, and they didn't offer the stated compensation for our independent transfer. Moreover, I received a welcome email from the hotel after only one day of my stay. The hotel has adequate staff, and the people are positive and friendly. However, management, quality control, and leadership are seriously flawed. The rooms are overloaded with text reminders, rules, and restrictions, many of which would be confusing to a normal person. Or does the hotel manager think only people with dementia stay at their hotel? Reminders and restrictions are completely unnecessary if guests are greeted promptly and the necessary information is provided electronically in their native language.

A wonderful hotel right by the sea. It's small, with only 8 rooms (if I remember correctly). All the rooms are large, clean, and beautiful. There's no TV, but that didn't bother us at all. They have their own reef where you can swim with turtles and various fish. They also organize transport with a driver for trips to see sharks and waterfalls. The hotel restaurant serves delicious food. We absolutely loved everything and didn't even leave the hotel. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Wonderful experience the place has great service and good food. They are doing construction but itdoesn’t start till later in the morning. You will be out before to eat your breakfast and sit on the beach. The beach is right outside the hotel. They give you beach chairs and an umbrella.. if you scuba dive like I do the Pirates Scuba is right next door. They have nightly entertainment and a wonderful band. It is a good place to go again right on the beach. I go for walks and in town you will find whatever you are looking for..

The place is pleasant to stay, the staff are friendly and very accommodating that is why i love staying at their place. This is the 2nd time i booked the same reservations and same room type but this time i was placed on the 7th floor which is 3 floors higher than the old one we reserved. The view is also great this time as we wake up with the city view scenery. I hope to experience the 8th floor next time :) I recommend this hotel to families or couples who wish to stay comfortably but at a very reasonable price. Cheers 🥂

The hotel is very convenient as it is in the center of Cebu City. Imagine this,Chong Hua Hospital js beside it,RCBC and BDO are just around the corner,too. There's a cafe/restaurant on the ground floor,and the moment you step out of the hotel,there's three-sixty pharmacy and Robinsons Cybergate entrance is just right across. What I love more about it is the cleanliness and the refrigerator 🤣 We were also able to borrow an iron which was delivered to our room with the iron stand. While the breakfast was not a buffet-style,it was still fulfilling. Things to improve: maybe a slipper next time 😆 Overall,truly a great stay! ,😚
