"The location is very good, very close to the beach and the swimming pool is beautiful. The hotel sent a day's breakfast. Although the breakfast is really simple, it is also a bonus service. After all, it is free. The room was average. During our stay, there was a power outage for a long time. It was too hot to stay in the room. There was no place to have air conditioning when we went out. This was very collapsed. Continued cleaning is not to say that it will not be cleaned, you have to take the initiative to mention it yourself. I think the bedding is not clean. We stayed for four days. I had five or six big red envelopes on my stomach, as if I was bitten by a scorpion. But if this kind of thing wants to prove to be a hotel problem, I have to go to the hospital, so I didn't say anything to the hotel. I'll go home."

"Myself and my partner had the best stay at De Pearla resort. Farah the host was the best. He cooked us the most amazing meals, helped us with anything we needed assistance with and made our trip so special. He even showed us how to cook biriyani! My girlfriend became ill with a fever on one of the days and Farah went above and beyond to make sure that we were all ok and looked after. It really felt like we became part of the family. His son was also very helpful and kind to us. De Perla is a tranquil slice of Paradise that felt like a home away from home. It was always so amazing to come back to after a long day surfing and the craziness of Arugam Bay. We hope that we come back here again one day. Thank you Farah. We hope we meet again!"

There is a parking, in the room air conditioner, wi-fi is weak. In a generally simple and budget hotel, your money is worth. Waiting for super-ordinary, of course, isn't worth."

"There were so many things, but overall, all the staff were very hardworking, kind and good people! First of all, it seems that the reservation for 4 nights that I had made on Trip.com was not made at the time of check-in. There are many staff members, but there are only about two staff members who can communicate in English without any problems, and it was difficult to find them every time lol. I was hurriedly guided to my room, but I couldn't find the air conditioner remote control, and a staff member just brought me a towel (probably the room was hastily provided, so it was not fully prepared?) When I asked for the remote control at that time, they brought it to me relatively quickly. The wi-fi password was handwritten on the phone, but it was faded and I couldn't read it, so I looked for a staff member again and asked lol. I thought there would be hot water, but it was room temperature (it was a little cold at first, but if you try hard to take a shower, it feels like it's getting warmer for some reason, but it was exactly the same temperature lol) and the water pressure was quite weak. I asked the staff, but it seems that the temperature probably can't be changed. I asked them for at least the water pressure, and it improved a little. However, the water pressure was weak again the next night, so I asked them to adjust the water pressure every day for four days before taking a shower. When the staff came to check the water pressure, they stood on the bath mat with their shoes on, and the bath mat turned black because the shoes were wet with water... This happened two days in a row, so we told them that the water pressure had improved and it was okay to check it. It may be a cultural difference, but I guess they don't care about guests' bath mats turning black. The laundry service, free bicycle rental, and currency exchange that were listed on Trip.com (same as ***********) were not available lol The location is nice, right in front of the sea. It's a 10-20 minute walk to the town, but I was so scared of the stray dogs at night (they sleep and relax during the day, but are super active at night...) that I had to use a tuk-tuk every time. The hotel itself is not bad, but the shower was the only thing that bothered me. There were also frequent power outages every day. (It wasn't particularly difficult, but it sometimes took several hours lol) The staff were all really trying to solve the problem and listen to our requests. They were very calm and friendly, and always had a shy smile lol However, their English was quite weak, so it was necessary to be patient and communicate."

"Good hotel!!! We spent 7 nights in it The owners are very hospitality and responsive, prepared for us big shrimps and carried on the Marble Beach, of course for a separate fee. Breakfasts were not very diverse but big and saturated) The hired worker, a tall young man very much helped us with the kid, played with him while we ate) the child himself asked for him on the handles)) The girls who cooked us breakfast were also very nice and kind. Our room was on the third floor and we had a whole veranda - it was very convenient - to play with the child, to hang wet clothes, to look at stars or to drink morning coffee, the husband smoked. The location is also good - the third house from the beach) The beach is quite clean, much cleaner than in the tourist area of Uppuvelli. There are many shops with fruit and cafes, where locals eat - not as insabious as in tourist restaurants, but also delicious and 3 times cheaper From the downsides -in the room there was no place to lay or hang clothes-no closet, no hooks, nothing to hang shoulders-we had a mountain in the suitcase and around. Many clothes were hanging on the veranda 'the fence has always had a flock of local homeless dogs, they are harmless but noisy - No hot water. While it was cloudy was not comfortable to wash, then it became normal) -WiFi works badly, on the veranda caught better -TV isn 't available, he certainly wasn 't declared, but it turned out to be boring to wait for the sunset without it We are unlikely to return here again because of the great variety of hotels , but for not very attractive tourists the place will be very even suitable )"

"We absolutely loved our time at the Hideaway! The grounds are incredible with tons of luscious plants that are beautifully maintained. Our cabana was amazing. Spacious, sparkling clean with fun tropical touches like a beautiful handmade quilt on the bed, fresh tropical flowers in the bathroom and main cabana and touches of bright colors throughout. We spent 3 nights at the Hideaway at the end of our trip and truly felt like we were fully able to unwind and relax there. We ate breakfast every day at their amazing café with delicious coffee, fresh juices and smoothies and bomb food (both local and Western options). Their bar has an epic happy hour from 6-8 with yummy BOGO drinks and the restaurant was some of the best food we had during our entire trip. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool on the back of the property and took a yoga class one morning which was quite relaxing. Their service was also impeccable with very helpful staff. We became close with a few of the employees there during our short stay - we loved Mathy and Hetti! Would 100% recommend and stay again!"

Our stay here was lovely! The hotel is in a good location being a very short 2 min walk to the beach with many restaurants and shops around to go too! The rooms were a good size, clean and the beds were comfy. The mosquito net around the bed is one of the best we have seen and does in fact cover the whole bed. You can choose between AC/non AC when you get there which are different prices. The staff are super friendly, helpful and make sure your stay in the hotel is perfect! I would 100% recommend here to stay!

Great location just a short walk from the beach. Dennis was our host when we were there and he was absolutely fantastic, recommended good restaurants, helped organise transport, looked after us at breakfast and made you feel extremely welcome. Rooms are certainly ok for the price you’re paying but refurbishment is needed. Showers didn’t seem to have hot water, air conditioning was great though.

My friend and I stayed here for two days. The service was very good. I bought beef and crab sea shrimp to the kitchen for processing. The staff was still helping. It was very convenient to walk out for less than 3 minutes. It was super beautiful to watch the sunrise and sunset. The hotel environment is also better, clean and hygienic. The hotel in general we liked, but the neighbor dog.. she lays just so and at night bad sleep.. The room has air conditioning and fan. There was water in the room when you checked in, but on extension it is not added. After a trip com breakfast paid, 1000 rupees for two, we didn't like the first, no more asked.
