"One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Asia as a solo traveller for 2 years, the amenities and value for money were exceptional, huge rooms by japans standards. Only issue is the location, if you don’t have a car it’s a walk for everything, even the closest konbini is 10-12 minute walk, which isn’t end of the world but it’s not as convenient as used to with Japan. The roads surrounding are not really made for walkingeither, it’s dual carriageways. And getting to the central tourist zone of Nara is a pain, 15 mins to closest bus stop. My train out of Nara was also a 25 minute walk with heavy bags. If the location was better it really would be 10/10."

"Great hotel! Super convenient location right by the JR station. The room was spacious and had everything one could need. Breakfast was also quite good."

"The hotel's location is fantastic, less than a five-minute walk from JR Nara. The higher floor rooms are comfortable, and they even display recommendations for good restaurants nearby in the lobby. This time, I revisited a restaurant I'd been to before and had the soba noodles – still amazing and delicious! The next day, I went to Japan's largest Muji store, which was great!"

"The location is excellent, convenient for visiting nearby attractions. It's near a shopping street, but shops in Nara close early, so it's not noisy. It's great value for money; the room is very spacious for this price, and it includes a sofa, coffee table, and clothes rack. The bed is also large and comfortable, although you have to climb a ladder to get to it. There's a shared kitchen and a free washing machine on the first floor. The only thing to note is that there's no elevator and the stairs are narrow. If you have a lot of heavy luggage, I wouldn't recommend booking a room on the second floor. Also, check-out time is before 10 AM, which is a bit too early, as nothing in the vicinity is open yet."

"It was quiet and I was able to relax completely. The room was clean, and I was happy to have a separate bathroom. The microwave, air purifier, and humidifier were also provided, which was great. This time I only stayed for one night, but I strongly wish I could have stayed for more."

Около домиков фотографировались туристы, наверное, им и в голову не пришло, что там можно снять жильё :)) Ужин кайсеки мы выбрали стандартный, и нам было достаточно, больше мы бы не съели. Завтрак такой же обильный. Всё было очень вкусно. Обязательно вернусь ещё, спасибо!"

"This hotel is super conveniently located right next to JR Nara Station, making transportation a breeze. There's a 7-Eleven and a large supermarket next to JR Nara Station, which is really handy. You can also catch a bus right outside the hotel to Nara Park. The hotel offers many optional services, showing great thoughtfulness. The onsen (hot spring) experience was generally good. They even provided sleep aids like different pillows and sleep supplements. My room was quite spacious for one person, though the facilities were relatively simple. The keyless entry with a password lock on the door was great as it meant I didn't need to carry a room card. The hairdryer was a Refa, and it was fantastic! The best part was definitely the free happy hour at the restaurant in the evenings. There was a wide variety of drinks available, and many guests brought food from the convenience store to enjoy with their drinks."

For travelers eager to deeply experience Nara's Tang-inspired ancient charm and explore the lineage of Tang Dynasty Buddhist culture in Japan, Toyoko Inn Nara is undoubtedly an ideal choice. Here, history and modernity blend seamlessly; every outing becomes a cultural encounter, and every return offers the comfort of home."

"Conveniently located near Kintetsu-Nara station. The place looks a tad old with some wear-and-tear, and the wooden tiles in my room made a creaking sound whenever being stepped on. Soundproofing was pretty bad – I could hear people walking along the corridor, and voices and sounds coming from neighbours above and below. Staff did not provide clear instructions on how to self-checkout, i.e. where to place the key as there was no indication around the front desk which was unmanned in the early hours of the morning."
