"I couldn't have been happier with my stay. I've never been to Guanxi province before, but it surpassed all my expectations. The village itself is beautiful, and around 7km from Yangshuo, so it's not as busy as central locations but still plenty to see around the Yulong river. But most of all, the family and all the staff at this hotel were truly exceptional, and made me feel so welcome. The rooms are comfortable, extremely clean, and they service your rooms every day which means you always have a freshly made bed and water bottles.
Breakfast was included and was wonderful and plentiful....porridge, watermelon, yams, boiled eggs served with red tea, and you could also order coffee. You can also get a big bowl of noodles, but after they realised as a foreigner, I don't really like to eat this kind of thing for breakfast, they simply adjusted to my tastes and gave more eggs and sweet potatoes the next day without me even needing to ask- fantastic service!
I really enjoyed the company of the boss man, and I assume his wife. After watching snooker together the first evening, they invited me to eat dinner together the next night, along with the kitchen cook. It felt like a family meal, and I felt very welcome indeed.
By the way, I walked between villages in my afternoons, which was great exercise and there's plenty of good routes for bicycling. đ˛

"The best hotel experience in China for me . The view from the room is incredible . Make sure to choose a room with view if itâs available. Itâs well worth it . The location of the hotel is great. I didnât want to in the busy west street area but close enough to reach there when I needed . Itâs a short 6-7 min bike ride. Itâs easy to use the e-bikes and the hotel has offers them at a fair rate. You should definetly go out to explore with them. Also the team is friendly , smiley. Especially the lady who did my check in and who was there during the day time was very helpful . Had some good suggestions , and always response def on WeChat . There is also laundry service available . Having a drier would have been helpful but it was ok ."

"Itâs alright. There is hot water in the shower, and the room is as clean as it can - considering that itâs quite an old hotel, and the furniture (and carpets especially) is showing its age. The biggest problem was the Internet - the wifi barely works (and only in some devices), and if your room is deep inside the building, you wonât be even able to use the cellular data. The only big problem - sound proofing. If there are people in neighbouring rooms, prepare to hear every whisper. Make sure youâve got ear plugs ready."

"My overall stay had its ups and downs. Let's start with the positives: The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the Fengqing Port Night Market, making it super convenient for getting around, finding food, and shopping. The room was spacious, and the 2.7-meter bed was much larger than expected, making for a very comfortable sleep. The breakfast spread was rich and varied, and the dining area offered fantastic views. The front desk and staff were also very attentive and helpful.
However, the downsides were quite noticeable. As an older hotel, the hardware facilities are not well-maintained, and there's a clear quality gap compared to newer chain hotels. The room windows couldn't be opened and were blocked by an external frame, essentially offering no view. The in-room appliances and soft furnishings were old. The ceiling light by the door was constantly malfunctioning; it wouldn't turn on at all when I first checked in, and then it started flickering frequently and randomly at 4 AM, accompanied by loud noises, seriously disturbing my sleep. The bedding felt damp and sticky, giving an uncomfortable, clammy sensation. The air conditioning was also quite noisy, which made it hard to sleep at night. The self-service laundry facilities were equally disappointing; the washing machines were old, and the hotel didn't provide bottled laundry detergent, only bulk powder. Plus, the detergent dispenser had old, caked-on powder remnants, indicating poor cleaning and maintenance.
In summary, the hotel shines in its location, food, and service, but the hardware facilities are in urgent need of renovation and upgrades."

Upon our arrival, we were warmly welcomed by amazing front desk attendant, Melody. She assisted us through out our stay and made sure weâre comfortable and well taken care of and our tour guide, Eric, who communicated fluently in English, significantly easing our experience as non-Chinese speakers.
The owner was equally gracious, sharing their barbecue with us, creating a sense of homeliness. This hotel is located just 15 minutes from the main tourist attractions, with rooms that are very clean and offer breathtaking views.
I am definitely coming back again."

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

Waking up and opening the window to a lush green landscape was so relaxing and refreshing. The front desk offers electric bike rentals that are in excellent condition with plenty of battery life, and at a great price. It was super convenient for riding to Yulong River and Ten-Mile Gallery, allowing us to enjoy the scenery with the wind in our hair â so free and enjoyable. The service was thoughtful and attentive, making getting around incredibly easy. The value for money is unbeatable; choosing this place for your trip to Yangshuo is definitely the right call!

PPipajiKicking off our spring break, we headed south through Guilin, Yangshuo, Nanning, and Beihai. Yangshuo Wangjianglou Inn was by far the most comfortable and convenient place we stayed. The inn's design and layout exceeded my expectations; the quality was truly impressive. Given the limitations of the building itself, they ingeniously installed a luggage elevator, which was incredibly thoughtful for both guests and staff â big thumbs up! Yangshuo county is quite small, so there's really no need to stay directly in the scenic area (it's inconvenient, overpriced, and you'd need taxis for meals and transportation, adding to costs). Staying in the West Street commercial district was a very smart decision. We stayed and ate at Wangjianglou (for those who know, their restaurant is a super popular, must-try spot in Yangshuo with long queues!). As a guest, you don't have to wait; the front desk concierge helps with reservations directly, and you even get a 10% discount on meals, which is a fantastic deal. I'm already planning to bring my family back after May Day and will definitely be staying at Wangjianglou again!

BBeizhuyixiabaThe location is excellent, very close to the 20-yuan Lijiang River scenic pier. The environment is clean and tidy, and the room is very spacious. The service attitude is superb. I booked for two nights and was supposed to check out by 12 PM on the third day. However, on the second night, my child was hit by a car and transferred to Guilin Hospital. It wasn't until the evening of the third day that my husband had time to go check out and pack our luggage. The owner kept the room for us and didn't rush us to check out at all. The owner is a truly compassionate person; they repeatedly inquired about my child's condition, didn't charge us for the late checkout, and even gave my child a red envelope. For this booking, the owner truly went above and beyond, practically losing money. Such big-hearted owners are truly rare. I wish the owner a prosperous business and abundant wealth. Thank you for your immense kindness.

GGuest UserThis stay truly exceeded my expectations! As soon as I walked into the lobby, I noticed a subtle, pleasant fragrance. The environment was elegant and quiet; I couldn't hear any outside noise at all, which made for a very peaceful night's rest. The room was spotlessly clean, with no water stains or dust even on the sink or in the corners. The bedding was pristine and soft, making me feel very comfortable and at ease. Both the front desk and housekeeping staff were incredibly thoughtful. When checking in, they proactively recommended local restaurants and even helped upgrade my room type. They were always willing to assist without being intrusive. The attention to detail was perfect. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

First off, the environment is absolutely stunning. As soon as we walked in, we were captivated by the courtyard. The flowers and plants are meticulously trimmed yet maintain a natural, wild charm. After the rain, the air was incredibly fresh, like it had been washed clean. Sitting in the yard with a cup of tea, time just seemed to slow down. The rooms also have a lovely natural wood style, cozy yet sophisticated, exactly like the pictures.
Then there's the cleanliness â as a germaphobe, I was thoroughly impressed. The room was spotless, the floors were so clean you could walk barefoot, the bedding smelled of sunshine, and the bathroom was free of any water stains or odors. Traveling with a baby, I'm extra sensitive to cleanliness, and this place put my mind completely at ease.
Most importantly, the family-friendly service is incredibly thoughtful! The owner clearly understands what kids need. They had already prepared children's toothbrushes and slippers for us in advance, and even thoughtfully provided a bed rail, which made us feel much more secure at night. The common area had picture books and building blocks, and my baby had a blast, too busy playing to fuss. They even prepared soft, sticky porridge and small steamed buns specifically for my child's breakfast.
