Hotel near Dafo Temple,Zhangye
Holiday Inn Zhangye Feitian is located at No. 211 South Street, with convenient transportation and superior geographical location. It is separated from the famous Great Buddha Temple all the way. All the rooms of the hotel are luxuriously decorated, comfortable and elegant, with a strong artistic atmosphere, and the rooms have all kinds of rooms and complete supporting facilities. Since its opening, Feitian Holiday Inn has undertaken a lot of business rooms from different groups. The hotel has won the trust of the guests with its comfortable accommodation environment and first-class service, and has been well received by the majority of guests in the society. While operating in good faith, the hotel has formed a good reputation among guests and the industry, and has achieved good economic and social benefits. In line with the conscientious and enthusiastic attitude, treat people with sincerity, welcome guests from all over the world with a smile, make the hotel stronger and bigger with standardized and thoughtful service, and make guests feel the atmosphere of home with high standards and personalized services.

"The airport shuttle is conveniently located right outside the hotel entrance, and the schedule adjusts daily based on flight times. It's very convenient at just 20 per person. The single room was a bit small, and the air conditioning wasn't very strong. There was also a smell from the drain, which I reported, and the front desk said they would check it out. Overall, it's excellent value for money. It's right at the entrance of the Grand Buddha Temple commercial district, making it easy to walk to everything."

"Staying at Shazhou Wild Luxury Camp in Dunhuang was an amazing experience. Tucked away on the edge of Mingsha Mountain, it offers private access to the vast desert. Unlike the crowded Crescent Lake scenic area, this place is tranquil and relaxing. In the evenings, we played cards in the cool shade of the terrace, watched the sunset, and then the sunrise in the mornings. At night, we could step out anytime to gaze at the starry sky and the Milky Way. It was a truly unique experience, highly recommend! Just a couple of suggestions: 1. It would be great if you could recommend a few spots and paths for sandboarding. Otherwise, kids with sandboards run around everywhere, and some dunes are too hard to slide down, wasting a lot of energy and time. 2. Could you consider installing a rope ladder to the highest dune, similar to Crescent Lake? It would make climbing much easier. Otherwise, the women and children in our group couldn't make it up, which was a shame given the beautiful views."

Hotel near Tianshui City Square,Tianshui
It may not be green mountains and clear waters, but it may also be the dim lights, slowly savoring the fireworks in the Qingwaguan Lane. This homestay is located in the courtyard of No. 4 Xinmin Lane in Tianshui Ancient City. It is close to the central square of the ancient city, with a comfortable environment and convenient transportation. The homestay is decorated mainly in log style, with exquisite woven accessories, and the room design is ingenious, with both traditional classical charm and modern comfort. Whether it is a spacious and bright twin room or a warm and romantic double room, you can feel the warmth and comfort of home. Here, you can unload all your fatigue and enjoy a quiet and comfortable life. When night falls, sit in the yard, cook wine and fry tea, and look up to see the stars, as if time has slowed down, making people forget the troubles of the world. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Fuxi Temple. The central square and Haiying Malatang are a 10-minute walk away, with convenient travel, welcome to you!

"The location is inside Tianshui Ancient City, a bit hard to find. Breakfast is a collaboration with the shop next door, only available from 8 AM, which is different from the information provided here. The room's screen mirroring works fine, but there are constant ads… The room doesn't have a key; it has a combination lock, so you don't have to worry about only having one card for two people. The front desk provides many free small items that you can use. The downsides are that if you stay on the first floor, you'll hear noise from outside, and if no one is at the front desk during check-in, you'll have to wait."

"We had a wonderful stay at WanAn Inn! The rooms were spacious, clean and elegantly designed. There was also a lovely cafe/restaurant attached which was great for a morning coffee. The staff were lovely and super attentive! The location was excellent—really well situated for visits to the Mogao caves, and only a 5 minute drive from the crescent lake and desert. Would really recommend staying here!"

At the foot of DanxiaMountain Here's the Kaoshan Tent Where you can enjoy good drinks And merry winth friends At night the moon and stars color your dreams; At dawn the sunrise feasts your eyes Oh, what a beautiful life At the lovely tent

"After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye."

Hotel near Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Moon Spring,Dunhuang
Nasshan Waterside Homestay sits at the foot of Mingsha Mountain in Dunhuang, just a 10-minute drive from the renowned Mingsha Mountain & Crescent Spring Scenic Area. It is a tranquil waterside courtyard leaning against rolling sand dunes and accompanied by clear springs, far away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. We offer a full range of well-equipped guest rooms and all-round supporting services. Choose from king rooms with private courtyards or fountain balconies, as well as terrace rooms overlooking jujube groves and desert vistas. Complimentary airport and station transfers are available by reservation, alongside a free parking lot with EV charging piles and a free self-service laundry & drying room. Guests can also join DIY mural painting workshops. The courtyard is an ideal spot for sipping tea and chatting with loved ones. Every room is fitted with a smart room control system for easy adjustment of lighting, air conditioning and other amenities. Standard in-room facilities include humidifiers, mini-fridges, hot & cold air conditioning, 24-hour hot water, private bathrooms and free Wi-Fi, while select rooms are equipped with projectors. Rooted in rammed-earth desert aesthetics, our homestay highlights waterside courtyard scenery, seamlessly blending Gobi sand dunes, oasis streams and Silk Road art to break the monotonous style of conventional desert accommodations. The courtyard is wrapped in flowing water features, green plants and fruit trees. By day, clear springs mirror the silhouettes of Mingsha Mountain; after dark, string lights cast gentle glimmers over the running water, creating a serene, soothing backdrop perfect for capturing atmospheric Dunhuang-style photos. Unwind and let go of travel fatigue as you soak in the warm, laid-back vibe of the desert. We look forward to welcoming you to our quiet courtyard beneath Mingsha Mountain.

"Choosing Nashashan Homestay for my trip to Dunhuang Mingsha Mountain was the luckiest decision I made. The location, living environment, and owner's service all far exceeded my expectations. I genuinely recommend it to all visitors coming to Dunhuang. The homestay is nestled at the foot of Mingsha Mountain, just a 10-minute walk directly to the scenic area's entrance. This means no waking up early to beat traffic, no enduring the scorching sun to go back and forth. You can head out early to catch the desert sunrise and return to the courtyard in the evening to quietly enjoy the sunset's afterglow. With minimal light pollution at night, you just look up to see a sky full of dazzling stars – a truly immersive experience of the desert landscape, far from the city's hustle and bustle, quiet and healing. The courtyard is a rammed earth courtyard with distinct Northwestern characteristics, meticulously kept clean and tidy, with tables, chairs, and greenery artfully arranged. Sitting in the courtyard in the evening, enjoying the breeze and drinking tea, creates an incredibly atmospheric vibe. The guest rooms are spacious and airy, with impeccable cleanliness down to the smallest detail. The bedding is soft and dust-free, and every corner and bathroom is thoroughly cleaned. Considering Dunhuang's dry climate, each room is equipped with a humidifier. The independent bathrooms have separate wet and dry areas, with abundant and stable hot water. The hairdryer is powerful, making it easy to quickly clean off sand after playing. The blackout curtains provide excellent sound insulation, ensuring a solid night's sleep after a day of exploration. The homestay also has a self-service laundry and drying area and free parking, which is very convenient for self-driving guests to store luggage and wash sandy clothes. The facilities are comprehensive and thoughtful. What touched me the most was the owner's warm and genuine service, completely devoid of any commercial detachment. Upon arrival, they proactively helped with luggage and made check-in quick and efficient. They also meticulously explained off-peak routes for visiting the scenic area, recommended lesser-known photo spots, and suggested local restaurants frequented by residents. During my stay, any requests were promptly addressed, whether it was refilling drinking water or borrowing items – they were always on call. They were gentle and patient, and in their free time, they would chat with guests about local customs and traditions, making it feel just like staying at a relative's home. For its location, this homestay offers excellent value for money, combining the charm of the desert with a comfortable living experience, making it suitable for couples, families, and friends traveling together. The thoughtful service and superb location added so much warmth to my Dunhuang trip. The next time I visit Mingsha Mountain, Nashashan Homestay will still be my first choice, and I will definitely recommend this hidden gem to my friends planning trips."

Guiyu Hotel | An Eternal Residence in Lanzhou Old Street ——Carving Time, Nestling in Guiyu Located in the cultural living room of Lanzhou City—the core area of Lanzhou Old Street, Guiyu Hotel takes "Treasure of Jincheng" as its concept, perfectly integrating the thousand-year cultural heritage of the Yellow River, the lingering charm of the Silk Road commercial port, and modern elegant sojourns. It creates a warm and unpolished jade-like realm for travelers, hidden amidst the hustle and bustle of daily life. Guiyu Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it is an eternal journey that Jincheng (Lanzhou) presents to you."

"Second stay here, and it's as good as ever. The laundry facilities were really convenient; I managed to wash all my clothes from the Grand Loop. Charging the car was easy, the bedding was comfortable, there were plenty of dining options, and the environment was excellent."

Out of our 9-day trip along the Qinghai-Gansu Loop, this homestay was our family's absolute favorite. It's a place with real heart and soul, where every detail is thoughtfully considered. Even our five-year-old said he'd give this hotel 30 stars! The homestay has a great design aesthetic, and the rooms are spotless, perfectly matching the tastes and ideas of younger travelers. We always bring our own disposable toiletries when we travel, but here, everything was already provided in the room. I also really loved the landlady – she's just one of those people you instantly like, and it was so comfortable interacting with her. From the moment we checked into the homestay in Dunhuang, we had such a positive impression of the city. Even though our stay was brief, it's full of beautiful memories. When we were leaving, she found out my child liked apricots and even gave him some from her own yard, which was incredibly touching. The breakfast offered a wide variety, and it was all very enjoyable. I truly recommend this homestay if you're coming to Dunhuang. I hope everyone gets to experience the genuine warmth and hospitality during their travels here. Their raisins are also highly recommended!

This is a fantastic hotel with excellent amenities. They have a huge parking lot in the back, and there are many restaurants nearby. But the absolute highlight is their breakfast. My wife and I have been on road trips for years, staying in hundreds of hotels, and we've never seen a breakfast like this. They offer over 50 different items, including both Chinese and Western options. They even have things other hotels don't, like salmon, 'Buddha Jumps Over the Wall' soup, boiled prawns, fried chicken nuggets, and fried fish. Everything is incredibly fresh; when the salmon runs out, they immediately bring out more. And all of this for just 28 RMB per person! The owner is truly thoughtful. I highly recommend staying here!

Facilities: Most amenities are available. The duvet cover has patches and holes. Cleanliness: Cleanliness is acceptable, but the dead mosquitoes on the walls should be cleaned up. Environment: The room is small with wooden partitions, so you can hear conversations in the next room clearly. External noise is low. It's located in a food street with many food stalls downstairs. Service: Not particularly noteworthy. Breakfast was average. The millet porridge was decent, but could we have our own dedicated stainless steel bowl for it? Please don't serve porridge directly from a freshly washed plate.

Checked in on New Year's Eve. Two wind towels were given as a gift when I checked in. I took a photo of it specially because it was my favorite color, hehe. Cleanliness: The room was surprisingly clean. No weird smell. Facilities: Free toiletries are provided. The bathroom is spacious. The eco-friendly slippers are comfortable, but you can’t take them away. Environment: Entering the hall, it is cozy, warm and the heating is very good. Service: The beauties in the lobby are enthusiastic and warm. To emphasize, heating is very good in winter. The bedding was clean and tidy. We stayed for two days and went out to the scenic spot on the second day. They cleaned and tidied the room without any request. It is convenient to eat. There is an authentic beef noodle restaurant opposite the hotel, a convenience store next door, and a large supermarket around the corner, which is open on New Year's Eve. A perfect trip to Dunhuang! Very impressed with that hotel and the staff. Good location relatively close to the fortress and on the way to the wall. Plenty of food options around and more within 1 Km around. The staff at the reception were so helpful. No English spoken but with all the apps communication is not a big issue. It just take more time 🤔😅 The room was big. Great bathroom. A lot of space and storage available. Good air conditioning system. Breakfast was simply delicious and every day there were different items available. Not much western food but anyway Chinese food is healthier. Staff there was lovely. The fitness area is a bit minimalist. Self laundry is available and works great. I will return for sure. A Personal tip to people visiting Jiayuguan: I suggest getting to the wall first thing in the morning after breakfast. Taxis is the only option. In July 2024 the price I paid (Meter as usual) was 26 Yuans. After visiting that place take a taxi to the fortress (Jiayu pass) as it is on the way to the city anyway. The cost was 11 Yuans and it is very close to the fortress unlike the main ticket office located 2 Km away (where the bus nr 4 stops). Further tip if you like HotPot restaurants the NanjiaXiang is a great choice at a very reasonable price. It is 800 meters away from the hotel.

This is a REALLY nice hotel. Unfortunately, although it is practically right next to one of the city's two train stations, the location is far from ideal. Yes, there are many restaurants close by. But Tianshui is an oddly laid out city. Look on a map and you will see two distinct parts to the city. This hotel, along with the two train stations and the airport are in the eastern city. But all the most interesting city attractions are within the west part. And the two parts are very far from each other. Again, this is a nice, quiet, comfortable hotel. And I often try to stay at hotels near transportation centers such as train stations. The view from my room was fabulous- mountains and a train station. But for anyone visiting Tianshui, I'd suggest you look closely at a map and take a close look at the sites within the city you are likely to visit! (To add to within-town transportation challenges, not even a single time was I able to get a ride using the normally useful ”Didi” application. This meant that it was a constant ”old school” process of trying to flag down available taxis. Anyway, again I will emphasize, the hotel is great. It is the layout of the city itself that presents challenges that make this location difficult.

The hotel facilities should be relatively good. The girl who helped us with our luggage and taught us how to turn on the water heater in the room was very nice. The front desk clerk had no smile at all and said that nothing could be done, which was very speechless. The hotel also charged a deposit of 199 yuan, which I haven't encountered for a long time. The drinks in the refrigerator also need to be paid for. This can be changed. After all, the cost is not cheap. Moreover, one of my friends had severe altitude sickness and returned early. Other hotels that could not refund the room explained the situation and refunded them. Only this hotel charged half of the room fee. The hotel was not fully booked that day, which was very inhumane.
