Zhaoqing Ancient City Wall
The Duanzhou Ancient City Wall is located in the area of Songcheng Road in Zhaoqing City and was built in the Song Dynasty. It is rectangular in shape and its commanding height is Piyun Tower in the north of the city. It is the only remaining complete ancient city wall in Guangdong and a landmark building in the cultural city of Zhaoqing. I revisited Seven Star Crags in Zhaoqing after more than a decade! The familiar scenery is still beautiful, but the scenic area has been greatly improved, with many new attractions and a much richer experience. It's definitely worth coming back to explore it in detail.

The air at Dinghu Mountain is fresh, and the hike isn't too tiring; it's quite enjoyable, especially seeing many silver pheasants. However, there are too many commercial tourist facilities at the summit, making it very noisy.

This package includes Dinghu Mountain and Qixingyan, which is great value. The attractions are not in the same area, so you need to drive there yourself. The scenery is very nice and there are very few people. There is a big cauldron in Dinghu Mountain where you can throw balls into it to pray for blessings. Many people buy balls and throw them in.

The area is not large, but it is full of fun! The flamingos are brightly colored, and the red-crowned cranes are graceful! Although the lake is not as wide as the Xingyan cruise route, the close-up view of the Heron Island and the reclining Buddha are beautiful!

This is a rare well-preserved ancient city wall in China, and is currently a national key protected building. There are more than 40 types of bricks on the wall, all of which were repaired in different eras. Zui Piyun Tower is the highest point of the city wall, and you can overlook the ruins enclosed by the city wall and the urban area of Zhaoqing from the tower.

The Qixingyan Archway is a must-see destination, bar none. When I visited, they were setting up a beer brand event. The combination of nature and the immersive concert experience was incredible! The added bonus was the cat mural on the pedestrian street along the archway, which was a perfect cue.

The best scenic spot in Sihui City is the tree-lined path along the Qishi River. Listening to the sound of the river water hitting the rocks, surrounded by birdsong and fragrant flowers, it is very comfortable. The rocks are truly bizarre and varied. When you reach the Yinlong Waterfall, it is very spectacular, as smooth as silk and gauze, truly a wonder.
