Mid-Yandang Mountain

3.8

4.2/5

108 reviews

Zhongyandang Mountain, formerly known as Baishi Mountain, has majestic peaks and deep gorges, and ancient Shiqiao caves and temples; it is also a famous scenic spot in the country. However, under the cover of the fame of North Yandang Mountain, Zhong Yandang Mountain has been in the boudoir for a long time and few people know it. In the eyes of Yandang Mountain people, the middle geese and the northern geese are generally beautiful and have different expressions. If you have gone to Beiyan, you have not visited Zhongyan, but it is not considered to be swimming in Yandang. The Zhongqian, Baishi and Longshan lakes on Zhongyandang Mountain are like three mirrors inlaid between the peaks in spring, summer, autumn and winter. Tourists can watch the sunrise in the East China Sea from a thousand miles to the top of the mountain, fish in the shade of willows and go boating in blue waves. It can be said that the mountains and rivers are both successful, and the benevolent and wise will be happy and forget to return. "Xiyi in the middle of Yandang Mountain is an important scenic spot. It traces the flowing water and enters the stone gate. It suddenly opens up. Among the mountains and between the clouds, the plains suddenly appear, and the sigh is a strange place." ("Zaijingtang Collection, Landscape, Yandang Mountain") The famous contemporary couplet artist Chen Zhisui's "Inscription on the Shimen in the West" couplet: "There is a peach blossom world at the beginning; the water divides away from the rice farm." This is the image description of the "Peach Garden World" in Shimen. Zhongyandang Mountain governs seven scenic spots including Yuzheng, Xiji, Sanhu, Dongji, Fenghuang Mountain, Yangbadong and Liugonggu, with a total area of 93.44 square kilometers and more than 300 scenic spots. It is famous for its ancient Dongyou Temple, lakes and mountains, and Tan Bilin Cui. The literati and scholars of all dynasties came here especially, leaving a lot of precious ink marks, adding luster to the mountains. Wang Shipeng of the Song Dynasty also wrote: "Shili Lake and mountains are green and daisy across the two streams.

What travellers say about Yueqing

祥云山庄🐷3 November 2026

4.0

The shuttle bus service is generally convenient, with free pick-up and drop-off from the high-speed rail station to the tourist center, and tourist buses between various attractions. However, it is inconvenient to take the bus at the Three-Fold Waterfall attraction. If there are no empty seats, you are not allowed to get on the bus. I was unable to get on several buses in a row.
