Things to do in Yongxing

Gaoyiling in Chenzhou boasts stunning red cliffs, clear waters, and Danxia landforms. Well-maintained hiking trails offer easy, short tours. Seniors aged 60-69 enjoy half-price admission with valid ID, and those over 70 enter free. The mountain gets strong sunlight, so be sure to use sunscreen and be careful of slippery surfaces. It's a great destination for seniors to enjoy the scenery and take photos.

A simple little village, the villagers are very nice and enthusiastic to introduce the attractions. You can take beautiful photos here if you choose the right angle. It will be better if you have a drone, but unfortunately my photography skills are average. The spring water is cool and sweet.

The scenery was absolutely stunning, but it was too hot when we went, so we didn't dare stop to take proper photos. The main activity was riding a bamboo raft, but getting on the raft required walking quite a distance. The scenery along this path was actually excellent, but there were no plants to provide shade, so we were constantly bathed in the warm sunshine, haha. I recommend visiting in autumn or winter. There are actually some stops along the way where you can go ashore to visit an island, but it was just too hot, so we didn't go ashore and just took a quick look around before heading back.

Driving from Changsha to Chenzhou, the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway passes through the Leiyang Cai Lun Bamboo Sea Scenic Area. I found it quickly after getting off the expressway! It's free for seniors over 65 and children. There are not many people in the scenic area, so I bought a ticket for 30 yuan and drove up the mountain. There were bamboo forests along the way. When I came to the viewing platform, I was shocked by the scene in front of me! I will be on the top of the mountain and see all the small mountains. It's worth the trip! The mountain breeze is blowing in the hot summer, and I really linger! The prices in the scenic area are also conscience! Although it's very sunny, it's worth it!
