Domeki Hot Spring

Domeki Hot Spring features a mineral-rich, high-salinity spring. Due to its potent composition and strong effect, it is generally recommended for safety reasons not to soak for too long. Even with a short soak, the high salt concentration quickly warms the body from the inside out, earning it the reputation as "the hot spring that keeps you warm." Interestingly, because of this peculiar "three-minute" rule, it is also playfully nicknamed the "Ultraman Hot Spring." Soak in the steaming open-air bath while enjoying an unobstructed view of the Peaks of the Zaos and the cityscape of Yamagata City. Especially at dusk, watching the setting sun paint the vast fields in golden hues, all your worries will dissipate with the rising steam. The hot spring facilities have been completely renovated, with a new sauna and cold shower room to enrich your bathing experience. The facility's heating system also runs entirely on geothermal energy from the hot spring, making it eco-friendly.Yamagata City · 6km from downtown

Yamagata, Risshaku-ji Temple, and Tarushi Ruins are all very close to each other and can be visited together. If you hire a car, you can easily combine Risshaku-ji Temple, Tarushi Ruins, and Zao's Okama into a day trip. These are worthwhile, less-visited attractions.

Yamagata Park is only about 15 minutes away from Yamagata Station, so it is a tourist attraction with convenient transportation. The entire area itself is a place with comprehensive sports and recreational facilities. It covers a very large area. This is a good place to see cherry blossoms in full bloom in spring. It is really beautiful. Although it is not one of the top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots, it is still very beautiful.

The price of 350 yen is surprising. There are two types of hot springs. The open-air bath is spacious and relaxing. The sauna is not very spacious, but it's a shame that there are people taking up space in it. I'd like to go again.
