Casa Loma

Casa Loma Castle was built in 1911 as the private mansion of the famous financier Sir Henry Pellatt. This medieval-style castle cost $3.5 million and took 3 years to build. It consists of ornately decorated suites, 800-foot tunnels, ancient Towers, stables and 5 acres of gardens. Floor distribution: The first floor of the castle is the hall, the second floor is the bedroom and suite, the third floor is the Queen's Rifle Museum, in addition to the underground wine cellar, outdoor garden and high tower. The hall ceiling on the first floor is beautiful plaster and intricately carved, inspired by Elizabethan palaces. The garden greenhouse is a more beautiful place, the floor is Italian marble, and the magnificent stained glass dome is very beautiful. The bookcases in the library hall are high to the ceiling, and the decoration of the banquet hall is also very gorgeous. The second floor is dominated by living rooms, suites and guest rooms. Among them, the Chinese-style suites are furnished with many Chinese lacquered wood furniture and porcelain, and the walls are also decorated with Chinese patterns. On the ceiling of the master bedroom, the delicate blueberry carving is crumbling and very realistic, and the tiger skin rug shows the identity and status of the owner. On the third floor, various guns, weapons and materials are currently on display. The cellar in the basement is now a replica, the corridors are lined with movie posters filmed here, and the audio guide and souvenir shop are also located on this floor. An underground tunnel leads to the stables, garage and greenhouse. Along the narrow spiral staircase, you can climb to the upper floors of the ancient tower, and you can enjoy the city view of Toronto through the small window. Standing here, you can still hear the howling wind.Toronto · 3.5km from downtown

Art Gallery of Ontario

The Art Gallery of Ontario is located in downtown Toronto. Founded in 1900 by a group of private art enthusiasts, it houses over 100,000 works spanning from the 1st century AD to contemporary times, making it one of the large-scale art museums in North America. The gallery building itself is architecturally striking, and visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Toronto from the top floor. The art gallery reopened in 2008 after renovation and expansion led by Toronto-born architect Frank Gehry: the street-facing facade is wrapped in a glass and wooden corridor, resembling a glass ship drifting into the city, with lights shining through the curtain wall at night, making it particularly striking; the wooden spiral staircase in the atrium and the cantilevered titanium spiral staircase outside the tower were also designed by Gehry. At the street corner near the main entrance stands the bronze sculpture "Couch monster" by Canadian Indigenous artist Brian Jungen, while British sculptor Henry Moore's renowned bronze work "Large two forms" was relocated to the lawn of Grange Park on the south side of the art gallery. Floor distribution: The art museum has five floors. Upon entering the lobby, you can see the spiral staircase, a design that fully showcases Frank Gehry's talent. The collection is centered on two main themes: European art and Canadian art. The first-floor galleries display European paintings and sculptures from the Middle Ages to the early twentieth century, featuring works by artists such as Rembrandt, Hals, and Monet. The masterpiece "Massacre of the Innocents" by Rubens, donated by collector Ken Thomson, is considered the museum's signature piece. The Gothic boxwood miniatures he left behind depict intricate scenes within a tiny space, and the lower level also displays over a hundred of his ship models, ranging from merchant ships and warships of the age of sail to modern vessels, spanning several centuries with exquisite craftsmanship, making them worth slowing down to admire. The second floor showcases Canadian art in a concentrated display, featuring Tom Thomson's masterpiece "The West Wind," the Group of Seven's landscape paintings, and Inuit sculptures and prints, offering a comprehensive view of Canada's visual art heritage. Hundreds of works donated by Moore during his lifetime are housed here, with the dedicated Henry Moore Sculpture Centre providing a serene space to appreciate his forms. The upper levels of the south tower focus on modern and contemporary art, including works by Andy Warhol, Claes Oldenburg, and Yayoi Kusama's "Infinity Mirror Room."Toronto · 751m from downtown

University of Toronto was founded in 1827 and is a well-known public research university in Canada. The St. George campus is the main campus and has no walls, blending into downtown Toronto's neighborhoods. The campus features century-old Romanesque revival buildings alongside modernist new structures, and the contrast between old and new creates a unique charm. Entering the campus and crossing the open green leads to the main building of University College, a mid-19th-century Romanesque revival structure that is one of the campus's iconic views, with its heavy stone exterior and arched doors and windows conveying the solemn dignity of a classical university. On the side of the lawn, Hart House is another classic building, housing reading rooms, galleries, and student activity spaces, and its Gothic revival style is worth a close look. The campus is dotted with sculptures and green spaces, and it is common to see students in small groups discussing or relaxing on the lawn, creating a strong academic atmosphere. Strolling across the campus along King's College Circle to the Hart House lawn offers a concentrated way to appreciate the campus scenery shaped by generations of interwoven architecture.Toronto · 1.5km from downtown

Yonge Street is a major north-south artery in Ontario, Canada, starting from the shores of Lake Ontario in the south, running through downtown Toronto and North York, and extending into the York Regional Municipality, spanning dozens of km. It also serves as the baseline for dividing Toronto into east and west. The street was built in the late 18th century, connecting the bustling areas along its route. In its early years, the street was connected to Highway 11, with a total length of nearly 1,900 km, and it once held a Guinness World Record for this length. Later, the relevant sections were re-designated, and the record was revoked. This anecdote remains a topic of conversation among locals to this day.Richmond Hill · 29.2km from Toronto

Bluffers Parkis one of the more popular waterfront parks in eastern Toronto and a great place to enjoy the Scarborough Bluffs. On one side is the blue lake where water meets the sky, and on the other are continuous cliffs dozens of meters high. The scenery is rich and layered, and it is often considered the area in the Scarborough Bluffs scenic belt that is easiest to access the lakeshore. The park features a beach, trails, picnic areas, barbecue grills, and a parking lot. In summer, it is suitable for swimming, walking, sunbathing, and relaxing by the lake; in fall, the trees along the shore change color, which is perfect for photography; winter is quieter, and you can enjoy the expansive lake views along the shore. There are also marinas and sailing clubs near the park, where those interested in water sports can learn about related activities.Toronto · 13.2km from downtown

It's cheaper than buying tickets on-site. After purchasing tickets online, you'll receive an email with a confirmation slip, which you can print out or show to the staff at the ticket office on your phone. The boat ride isn't crowded, and they provide raincoats. It offers a close-up experience of the falls and is highly recommended!

Casa Loma Castle, from a distance, looks like a pile of toy blocks, its gray stone walls covered in vines, some windows dark and empty. Inside, the corridors are long and dark, the rows of armored soldiers still seem to carry the smell of rust. The old horse-drawn carriages in the stables have crooked wheels, their shafts covered in dust. The rooftop terrace is too windy to stand on; the city of Toronto stretches out below, a hazy gray expanse. An old man sits on a bench, flipping through a newspaper, the wind rustling the corners of the pages. When I came out, the sky had overcast, and the castle looked even older under the gray clouds.

The University of Toronto is in a good location, adjacent to the bustling city center, and life is extremely convenient; the buildings on campus are antique and quaint. Of course, the most important thing is that it is still a top university in the world [like it]

This street is very attractive to me. It is indeed a tourist destination, with many restaurants and bars, as well as many cafes and shopping stores. The street is usually crowded. One of the biggest tourist attractions on this street is a large indoor shopping mall, the Eaton Centre. The street seems to be a center of attraction and activity in itself.

I am here# Spadina Avenue is a main north-south street in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It starts from the Gardiner Expressway in the south and ends at Bullock Street in the north. The Spadina Avenue we are talking about today refers to the section of Spadina between Queen Street West and Bullock Street, not far from City Hall. In a broad sense, it is Chinatown The signs in Chinatown are written in both Chinese and English (as shown in the picture), and the government has also set a precedent by setting up a road sign with "Chinatown" written in Chinese on the Gardiner Expressway Today, Toronto's Chinatown is one of the most famous Chinatowns in North America. There are more than 400,000 Chinese people nearby. It's amazing that my great China has its people all over the world

There is a cliff park next to Lake Ontario in Toronto. It is also a very tall place with beautiful natural scenery and a waterfall with a large drop. There are many small animals in the park, making it a very suitable place for entertainment.

The attractions in downtown Toronto are basically all together. As long as the weather is good, any photo you take will look like a blockbuster! I started from Queen's Park and walked slowly south along Bay St. I passed the New City Hall and the Old City Hall (the big clock on the top of the building would ring every hour) and walked to Union Station. I could turn right to visit Canada Tower and Roger Center. There is also a Toronto Train Exhibition next to it! Then continue walking south (preferably along Bay St) for more than 10 minutes and you will reach the seaside (Harbour Front). There are ferries there and you can also see planes landing.
