Wuzhen Xizha is a quintessential example of a Jiangnan water town, with its white walls and black tiles, small bridges and flowing water, exuding poetic charm. It's not only a popular tourist destination but also a place where locals live, preserving a rich sense of daily life. Its crisscrossing waterways and well-preserved ancient buildings allow for leisurely strolls along the cobblestone streets, allowing you to experience the tranquility of the water town. The lights reflect on the river, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere with the sounds of oars and the flickering lanterns, making you feel as if you've stepped into a scene from a period drama. Rich Cultural and Leisure Experiences Xizha offers more than just beautiful scenery; it also boasts a wealth of cultural experiences. You can visit the Mu Xin Art Museum to immerse yourself in the artistic atmosphere; experience traditional indigo dyeing at the Caomu Bense Dyehouse; or learn about the story of the Southern Dynasty prince's studies at Zhaoming Academy. Taking a night cruise on the waterways by traditional rowing boat is the best way to experience the unique charm of Wuzhen's water town. Convenient Facilities and Thoughtful Services: Wuzhen Xizha boasts excellent facilities, convenient parking, and shuttle buses that can take you to any of the attractions. Drinking fountains are readily available throughout the scenic area, and restrooms are equipped with mother-and-baby rooms. Storing belongings and charging your phone are also convenient. If you get thirsty, you can enjoy free tea at the volunteer center, and there are even free showers!

I’d recommend going to Xizha around 3pm, especially if you want to rent a traditional costume and have your makeup done. There are quite a few service providers outside the entrance, and the prices are fairly transparent and most of them allow costume return up to 10 pm no matter what time you start to rent .3pm was perfect for us — not too crowded, and we had plenty of time to explore, take photos and stay until the lights came on at night.The boat ride was my favourite part. Around 8 people per boat, not too crowded, and we even got to chat with the other passengers. Xizha at night feels completely different — grand, peaceful and really romantic, especially with someone you love.

The scenic area boasts numerous exhibition halls, including Mao Dun's Former Residence, the Hundred Beds Museum, Huiyuan Pawnshop, and the Shadow Puppet Theater, all worth exploring in detail. Traditional folk performances can also be enjoyed. Online ticket purchase and exchange are convenient; simply scan the code to enter the park. The old streets are brimming with local life, offering a wide variety of snacks, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Complementing the style of Xizha, it's a must-visit in Wuzhen and highly recommended.

Like other ancient towns across the country, this place boasts upscale theaters and art galleries, as well as tourists from all over the world. It's packed with people who come here to admire the sights and appreciate each other's beauty.

Wuzhen Village is perfect for a family trip! The idyllic scenery is refreshing and soothing, and the park is kept clean and tidy. There are plenty of fun activities to enjoy, such as the mini train and the pea pod doll experience, which kids will absolutely love, immersing themselves in the joys of rural life. The staff are warm, friendly, and provide attentive service. The park offers complete accommodation and dining options, with fresh ingredients and excellent value for money. The pace of the trip is relaxed, allowing adults to unwind while children run wild. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and immerse yourself in the slow pace of rural life. A day trip here is fulfilling and therapeutic, making it an excellent choice for a family vacation. Highly recommended for families with children!

It was my first time riding a rowboat, and the experience was truly amazing. Although the price was a bit high, it was completely worth it. The rowers were all dressed in the same uniform. It was a much more authentic Jiangnan experience than on a machine-powered boat. The line was quite long, and this boat was incredibly popular. I recommend going in the evening to enjoy Wuzhen's vibrant blues scene. The feeling of sunset was truly captivating. It took about half an hour. When I uploaded it, it was still light, but by the time I got on the boat, it was almost dark. Although it was quite busy, sitting on the rowboat gave me a sense of detachment and tranquility. If you're in Wuzhen, instead of spending money on food and drinks, take a rowboat ride.

Nanxun Ancient Town is a Jiangnan water town with excellent value for money. Firstly, it's a free scenic area all day. The town itself is highly engaging, with several gardens, each with its own unique charm. Food and accommodation are reasonably priced, and the scenery, both day and night, is well worth visiting. Jiaxing South Lake Scenic Area is a famous historical and scenic destination in eastern China. Although it was developed relatively late, it started at a high level and is very well preserved. The entire development process adhered to the principle of "repairing the old with the old, and renovating the old as it was". There are still people living in the scenic area. They have not been moved away because of tourism development. They still live almost the same way as before. Therefore, Wuzhen is leisurely and authentic, and it is a living ancient town!
