Temple Visits in Chiang Mai

6.8
Welcome the sunrise or admire the sunset at a mountain-top temple, watch the city transform in the morning light or under the night sky, and experience a unique sense of tranquility and grandeur. Follow a guide for a leisurely stroll through the Old City of Chiang Mai, discover historic temples hidden in small alleys, listen to ancient stories, and embrace the slow pace of travel. Visiting temples doesn't have to be monotonous. Sunrise Temple Tour: Reach Doi Suthep before dawn, watching first sunlight gild the golden spire of Wat Phra That. Morning chantings blend with bird songs, while candlelights in the chapel illuminate young monks sweeping courtyards. Night Temple Exploration: Wat Chedi Luang under moonlight reveals different grandeur, where illuminated ruins show time's texture. Wind chimes' clarity intertwines with night guards' sutras, creating soul-soothing harmonies.  Full Day In-depth Experience: From Wat Suan Dok's white pagodas to Wat Phra Singh's Lanna murals, learn meditation and alms-giving from abbots. Join Pali classes with monks in afternoon, participate in evening chanting with locals - experiencing complete Buddhist daily life.Thailand · Chiang Mai

First, we went to a market where everyone was taking kitchen classes. Then we went to a culinary school to learn about plants. Finally, we learned how to cook. The steps were explained in great detail; it's actually quite simple. We made one dish and ate it. The food was delicious, and the culinary school environment was also very nice.

I think we need more places like this where elephants are treated with respect and now abused. I found the experience to be rather adventurous. I saw people write a review complaining about shower facilities and food being rather cheap. Honestly if you want luxury then go spa but if you really want some time with elephants where you can walk around with them and pet them and feel their closure then Elephant Sanctuary in Chiang Mai is the spot. I loved it.
