The river street has many great places to stay, shop, eat, and have fun. Stay the weekend in one of the riverfront hotels like the Marriott. I would recommend going to the Brew Pub just of of river street and get a in jar cheesecake.

Very cool estate with huge live oaks, lots of Spanish moss, marshes and rushes, and of course historic buildings to check out! I only regret that I did not get a photo of the tree entrance which is amazing.
