Also known as Seopji Cape, it's a volcanic rock cape on the east coast of Jeju Island. It's located in Seongsan-eup, Seogwipo City, Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, near Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak.
The name means: "Seopji" is an ancient place name, and "Gaji" is a Jeju dialect word referring to an outward-protruding terrain.
Formed by a volcanic eruption approximately 200,000 years ago, the basalt coastline is open to the public free of charge.
The cliffside meadows are treeless, offering expansive views; black basalt reefs contrast beautifully with the azure sea and sky, with a magnificent rock rising from the sea.
The white lighthouse is a landmark, accessible by climbing to overlook the coastline; stone walls and rapeseed fields (golden in April) line the path.
An ancient beacon tower (stone structure, approximately 4 meters high) is preserved.
It was a filming location for the Korean dramas *All In* and *Queen In-hyun's Man*, and features the "All in House" drama museum.
