The cliff top is over 1 km above sea level, with a vertical drop of approx. 300 m. The cliff's rock layers were formed by ancient marine deposits from hundreds of millions of years ago that were raised by geological uplift, with clear, distinct layers that resemble Earth's tree rings; below the cliff lies a vast desert and dried-up ancient riverbeds, with views extending all the way to the horizon. The area at the foot of the cliff was once part of an ancient trade route that crossed the Arabian Peninsula, connecting Yemen and the Levant region.Riyadh · 6.7km from downtown

Heet Cave is a natural cave hidden in the desert valleys near Riyadh, located on the cliff face of Mount Jubayl, and is one of the few large caves near Riyadh that can be explored on foot. The cave entrance resembles a half-open giant eye. It was once a water source where passing caravans would stop to rest and replenish their water, and the limestone walls have distinct stratification and are rich in anhydrite minerals. Descending from the entrance along the steep, rocky slope, the daylight gradually fades, and the sedimentary layers on the rock walls unfold one by one under the light of a flashlight. Deep inside, an underground lake suddenly opens up before your eyes. The water is crystal clear and icy cold all year round, reaching depths of tens of meters, and the lake extends for over 100 m within the cave hall.Riyadh · 41.2km from downtown

A free place to visit after 5pm and a massive place to tour with a wealth of history. We spend 3 hours exploring the site. It becomes even more grand with lightings at night. Great if you want to take some amazing pictures next to traditional Arab village houses. Lots of restaurants to try. We took a Uber to get there.

It's free and tells some Saudi history and castle stories. There is an antique street next to it, selling local aroma wood, clothes, etc. It's also good to have some fun.

Navigate to the bottom of the tower, enter the door and buy a ticket. The ticket price is 69SAR per person. Take the elevator up to a special viewing platform. The night view is very beautiful. It is very windy, so remember to bring a coat. You can also make a reservation at the restaurant above to enjoy the night view.

It is completely undeveloped and pure nature. It is a bit difficult to climb down and up. The water is warm, and I thought it was icy. I am not sure whether it is possible to snorkel, but I didn't see it anyway.

If you go there at night, you will definitely be amazed. It is a bit like Beijing's World Park, but the theme content is much richer, with indoor and outdoor areas, food, drink, entertainment, and travel, convenient sports and shopping, an ice skating rink, and even a few gun shops, so you can shoot guns and set off firecrackers as you like. It is only open for half a year each year, with an average daily passenger flow of 30,000 to 40,000 people, and it is very lively.
