Built in 1981, the Sydney Tower is a observation point that offers a panoramic view of the city. And it is also one of the three landamarks of Sydney, together with the Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. It is quite worthwhile to visit this Centrepoint. The Sydney Tower stands 300m above the CBD. The four sections are occupied respectively by two revolving restaurants, a observation deck and a café. The observation deck is equipped with high-powered telescopes, through which visitors can see the scenery as far as 70 kilometers. At the peak of the Sydney Tower, you can also walk outside the tower 260 meters above the ground, exthremely exciting. △ 360° overlooking the beautiful scenery of Sydney city △ Enjoy the beautiful sunset and city night view △ Experience walking on the glass platform on the top of the towerSydney · 32.3km from Palm Beach

Sydney Harbour Bridge

1.3k reviews
The Sydney Harbour Bridge spans across Sydney Harbour, connecting the city center on the south shore with the north shore, and faces the Sydney Opera House to the east across the water. The iconic duo appears in almost every Sydney postcard. This steel arch bridge, completed in 1932, is majestic: its main arch spans over 500 m, with the arch crown standing more than 130 m above sea level. The approximately 50 m-wide deck accommodates train tracks, car lanes, a bicycle path, and a pedestrian walkway, remaining a vital urban thoroughfare to this day. There are many ways to experience the bridge: you can drive or take a train across it, pass underneath on a sailing boat or ferry, or choose the leisurely option of walking across. The pedestrian walkway is on the eastern side, accessible via stairs from the Rocks or the north shore, while the bicycle path is on the western side. When reaching the south shore, don't miss the tower at the southeastern corner. Climb its roughly 200 steps to the observation deck for a level view of the steel arch and a panoramic harbor vista. The tower also houses an exhibition on the bridge's construction history. For a closer encounter with the sky, join the bridge climb experience: suit up in the provided gear and follow the guide along the arch ribs to the summit. Millions have completed this climb since its inception, with each offering unique views—dawn, daylight, dusk, and night. Gazing down at the Opera House and the entire Sydney Harbour from the top is a highlight for many travelers. On New Year's Eve, the bridge becomes the backdrop for the city's fireworks display, with prime viewing spots along both shores in high demand.Sydney · 30.3km from Palm Beach

WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo

1k reviews
WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo is located in Darling Harbour, adjacent to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and Madame Tussauds Sydney. It is a rare compact zoo in Sydney's city center, primarily featuring indoor exhibits focused on native Australian wildlife. The layout follows a single path, allowing visitors to explore the entire zoo in about two hours. Here, you can see five iconic Australian animals: kangaroos, koalas, wombats, platypuses, and crocodiles. The zoo is divided into themed zones based on natural habitats: the Kangaroo Walkabout is an open area where you can observe western grey kangaroos up close; Koala Rooftop is the zoo's highlight, offering not only regular viewing but also opportunities to book photo sessions inside the koala enclosure or join a koala breakfast experience during their active morning feeding time. The Devil Den houses the loud, powerful-jawed Tasmanian devils, an endangered marsupial species now mainly found in Tasmania. The Daintree Rainforest zone features southern cassowaries, musky rat-kangaroos, and satin bowerbirds. Patience is needed at the Platypus Pool, as these egg-laying mammals often hide among underwater branches. The Nightfall area simulates nighttime conditions, where nocturnal creatures like sugar gliders and bilbies become active. Other sections include the freshwater crocodile billabong, zones for echidnas and Goodfellow's tree kangaroos, and insect displays with spiders, stick insects, and giant snails, alongside reptiles like snakes and lizards. During your visit, check the keeper talk schedules—many animals, from wombat "Ringo" to cassowary "Princess," have dedicated sessions where caretakers share fun facts about their behaviors. After exploring, Darling Harbour's restaurants and waterfront views are just a short walk away, making it ideal for a half-day urban itinerary. △ Get up close with adorable koalas △ Watch adorable quokkas △ Meet the giant saltwater crocodileSydney · 32.4km from Palm Beach

Sydney Fish Market

Sydney Fish Market

7.3
4.4/5
476 reviews
The Sydney Fish Market is one of the larger seafood distribution markets in the Southern Hemisphere and a long-standing destination for locals to purchase fresh catches and enjoy seafood. It has now fully relocated from its longtime Pyrmont site to a new venue by Blackwattle Bay, featuring a wave-like roof covered in fish-scale textures that stands out among the bay area's architecture. The market's wholesale tradition continues to this day: every weekday morning, a Dutch-style clock auction begins on time, with seafood arriving overnight from the coasts of New South Wales, as well as Tasmania and New Zealand, showcasing over a hundred varieties in the auction hall. The retail area is the domain of visitors, where crushed ice displays feature Australian lobsters, king crabs, mud crabs, Sydney rock oysters, salmon, snappers, and barramundi, with the constant bustle of oyster shucking, fish filleting, and packing. The venue gathers around forty merchants, including long-established fish stalls like Christie's, Nicholas, and Claudio's, as well as small eateries offering freshly sliced sashimi, Malaysian spicy crab, and New Orleans shrimp burgers. It also features a bakery, artisanal deli, produce stand, and beverage shop. Dining here is casual: grab a plate of freshly shucked rock oysters or sashimi and enjoy it by the waterfront terrace before continuing your stroll. For a sit-down meal, there are restaurants overlooking Blackwattle Bay. If you're curious about the seafood industry, join an official behind-the-scenes tour to witness the early morning wholesale auctions or sign up for a cooking class at the Sydney seafood school to learn how to prepare the day's catch from professional chefs. If it's your first visit and you're unsure where to start, try the freshly made seafood from the deli counter first. For a more budget-friendly option, ask the fishmonger to recommend seasonal lesser-known fish varieties—they're often more affordable than star species like lobster or salmon, without compromising freshness. If taking raw seafood to go, remember to ask the vendor to add ice and pack it in an insulated bag, then refrigerate it as soon as possible.Sydney · 33.4km from Palm Beach

Had a wonderful experience at Taronga Zoo Sydney! 🐨🦒The zoo offers absolutely stunning views of Sydney Harbour, including the iconic Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The scenery is beautiful, making it a great place not only to see animals but also to enjoy the amazing views of Sydney.Getting to the zoo is very convenient, as you can easily take a ferry or bus. Taking the ferry is especially enjoyable because you get to admire the beautiful harbour views along the way. It’s a lovely place to spend the day with family, especially with kids. A perfect combination of wildlife, nature, and breathtaking scenery. Definitely worth visiting when you’re in Sydney! ❤️

The theater isn't very large, so the view from the second floor was excellent, and the actors' performances were very lifelike, with very interesting dialogue. Plus, the theater has a beautiful terrace with floor-to-ceiling windows; I took some lovely photos there in the afternoon!

Amazing whale-watching experience in Sydney! 🐋I really enjoyed this experience from start to finish. The scenery and the whole environment were absolutely beautiful, and we were lucky enough to see a lot of whales! It was amazing watching them in their natural environment, and the experience was even better than I expected. Definitely a great activity to do while visiting Sydney, and I would happily recommend it to others!

Individual tickets are expensive, so it's better to buy a combined ticket. Except for the Sydney Tower, the other three attractions are all together. The aquarium doesn't have a huge variety of fish, but there's a large shark enclosure with other fish besides sharks. The nurse sharks look very fierce, but are said to be very docile. Finally, the penguin exhibit's boat ride is a complete rip-off if there are long queues. I queued for half an hour, only to have the experience last a minute. I was in 0°C heat, just pulled out my phone to take a picture, and in the blink of an eye, it was over. Then I had to queue again to get off. It was truly a nightmare.

We visited the Sydney Tower Eye with my family and had a fantastic time. Booking our tickets through Trip.com was very easy, and there were a lot of different options available to choose from. I highly recommend going on a sunny day so you can get the most out of the views. Looking down at Hyde Park and the Anzac Memorial was a definite highlight. Highly recommended!

You can visit the zoo even if it rains. It's very clean and has koalas, kangaroos, various reptiles, and a variety of birds. It's quite close to the W Hotel. You can also explore Daling Island nearby.

I always check other people's reviews before each trip for reference and then add my own. Although it was peak season, the crowds weren't large at all, not even comparable to those in China. Just arrive 10-15 minutes before the cruise departure time; e-ticket verification is very quick. You can see the opera house, the harbor bridge, and the coastal residential areas, etc. It's definitely worth a visit!

I would rate this trip as a must-see in Sydney. The weather was fantastic the day we took the Big Bus. We enjoyed many views from the second floor, riding the bus around the entire city center. We saw many cityscapes and cultural moments that are impossible to experience by public transport. The entire tour had a Chinese-speaking guide, with explanations at every point in the city in Chinese, allowing us to learn a lot about Sydney that we couldn't have explored on our own. The red line in the city center was excellent, but the blue line was slightly less impressive. The coastal area wasn't very extensive, and the wind was incredibly strong that day; sitting on the second floor, we were practically blown around like idiots, and there weren't many particularly noteworthy views.
