Wildlife Park Eekholt

Wildlife Park Eekholt is located in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, situated between Bad Bramstedt and Bad Segeberg, and is an ecological park focused on showcasing local wildlife and providing nature education. Originally established to protect and showcase local wildlife and their habitats, it is not a commercial zoo that relies on high-density exhibits, but rather emphasizes "letting animals live in a near-natural environment." Therefore, the park preserves various ecological views, including forests, meadows, marshes, wetlands, and streams. Strolling through it feels more like entering a large nature reserve than simply "viewing animals." The park is home to a wide variety of animals that are well-integrated with their habitats, and visitors can observe their behavior in forests, wetlands, and open meadows from various trails. It is also well-suited for nature education: learning about local animals, understanding ecological balance, and observing wetland plants and birds, offering a richer experience than a typical zoo.
