Atlantic Road

Atlantic Road is a sea-crossing road that connects islands and reefs scattered across the sea with multiple bridges and causeways. The road winds almost at water level, with vast ocean views on one side and calm fjord waters on the other, making driving across it feel like traveling through the waves between the reefs. The highlight of the entire road is its iconic cantilever bridge, which arches high with an exaggerated curve. From certain angles, the bridge deck appears to plunge suddenly into the sea, creating a unique visual illusion that has become a classic view of this road. When the weather is clear, the sea is as clear as a mirror. There are many scenic parking spots and trails along the route where you can pull over at any time to enjoy the view and take photos. During windy and rough seasons, the sight of giant waves crashing directly onto the road provides a unique visual impact for those driving through. There are also dining and sea fishing experiences available along the route, offering a wide range of options for visitors who have traveled from afar.Vevang · 35.7km from Molde

Sognefjordis one of the longest and deepest fjords in Norway. The 200+ km waterway cuts inland from the coast north of Bergen, reaching the foot of the Jotunheimen and Jostedalsbreen national parks. Glacial meltwater carrying rock flour flows into the fjord, giving some of its branches an emerald green hue. The Nærøyfjord branch is the signature of the entire fjord: at its narrowest point, it is only approx. 250 m wide, with cliffs rising almost vertically from the water, and it has been listed as a World Heritage Site.Sognefjordis over 1,300 m deep in its deeper sections, with mountains on both sides rising from the water. Traveling through it by boat, you see steep cliffs when looking up and deep fjord waters when looking down.Norway · Sogndal

Geiranger FjordLocated in western Norway, it is a branch extending from the main fjord into the mountains, with a total length of approx. 15 km. The fjord was formed by Quaternary glacial erosion, with steep cliffs on both sides rising up to 1,400 m from sea level. Mountain peaks are generally over 1,500 m high, while the water depth extends to 500 m, creating a distinct vertical drop. The cliffs on both sides rise almost vertically from the water, with abandoned mountain farms hanging halfway up the cliff faces. The fjord water glows with a blue-green hue due to glacial meltwater. The landscapes of the kingdom in the animated film *Frozen* were inspired by the fjord scenery in this area, making it a highly recognizable destination among Norway's fjord landscapes.Stranda Municipality · 68.6km from Molde

Hardangerfjorden stretches for nearly 180 km, extending from the Atlantic coast south of Bergen deep into the inland hinterland. Unlike many stark fjords, the climate here is mild, and apple and cherry orchards stretch across the hillsides on both banks. During certain seasons, the blooming flowers on the mountains contrast with the remaining snow on the peaks, creating a unique natural view. The views along the fjord are rich and diverse, featuring not only magnificent cascading waterfalls but also numerous waterscapes where visitors can walk through or view from a distance. The surrounding cantilevered viewing platforms and cross-sea bridges provide visitors with expansive vistas. When driving across the bridges or touring by boat, the magnificent scenery of the mountains and waters intertwined on both banks is fully visible. There are many scenic parking spots and trails along the route. Self-drive tours, boat cruises, or kayaking are all common ways to explore. The rich glacier and mountain resources also provide diverse exploration options for outdoor enthusiasts, bringing an unforgettable fjord nature experience to visitors who have traveled from afar.Norway · Kvam

Flåm is a fjord town in western Norway, located at the end of the Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the Sognefjord, and surrounded on three sides by steep mountains. This town, with only a few hundred permanent residents, is a gateway to the fjords: large cruise ships can dock directly at the pier, and railways, cruise boats, and roads converge here. The town's signature attraction is the Flåm Railway. The train departs from the platform by the fjord, climbing about 20 km to the Myrdal station at an altitude of about 865 m,where it connects with the Bergen Railway. The entire line features steep gradients and continuous tunnels, with a short stop at Kjosfossen waterfall, allowing passengers to get off and gaze up at the waterfall cascading from the cliff top. For a different perspective, you can take a cruise boat from the pier into the Naeroyfjorden, flanked by cliffs on both sides, or head to the Stegastein- LOOKOUT, which hangs about 650 m above the Aurlandsfjord, to take in the entire fjord and the town below. There are bicycle rental points in town. You can ride downhill from Myrdal along the old mountain road built by railway workers back to the town, or take a leisurely ride through the valley. If you get tired of exploring, why not try the local specialty, brown goat cheese, at a restaurant? The town is small and can be explored on foot.Norway · Flam

Bryggen means wharf in Norwegian and is also often called the German Wharf. It is located on the eastern shore of Vågen in the center of Bergen. Rows of colorful, gabled wooden houses line the harbor, reflecting on the water. The story of this wharf area began in the Middle Ages: the Hanseatic League established a trading post here, and merchants from northern Germany used it as a base to distribute stockfish shipped from northern Norway throughout Europe. The rows of wooden houses were originally warehouses for storing stockfish and grain. The houses have been destroyed by fire many times, and the current complex was largely rebuilt after a major fire in the early 18th century, maintaining the layout of the medieval trading post. When visiting, do not just stay on the harbor-facing front; the narrow alleys behind the wooden houses are more atmospheric. Hidden among the dim passageways are craft workshops, small shops, cafes, and restaurants, which feel more historic than the street-facing facade. Head to the opposite side of Vågen to look back for a full view of the wooden houses. To learn more about this commercial history, you can visit theHanseatic Museumor Bryggens Museum.Norway · Bergen

Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Bergen is known as the "Seven Mountains". If you want to appreciate the whole picture of this small harbor town, you might as well take the funicular cable car all the way up to the top of Mount Floen, overlooking the beauty of Bergen. The cable car (FloibanenFunicular) runs in both directions, and the vehicles are divided into blue and red. They are affectionately called red hats and blue men. They all have panoramic glass roofs. Miss any views. On the top of the mountain with an elevation of 320 meters, there is an interesting viewing stairs. You can sit on the stairs, basking in the sun, and looking at the blue sea and blue sky in the distance. The red-roofed houses in Bergen are like a beautiful picture against the blue sky. oil painting, comfortable and comfortable. Want to get close to nature? Hike among the Norwegian forests? Follow the path near the top station of the ropeway towards the woods, and the walking signs will clearly indicate several popular hiking routes for you. In addition, just a few minutes' walk from the station is the tranquil and quiet shoemaker's lake, the road is paved with small stones, and there are bonfire kangs, barbecue stoves, benches and tables on the side of the road, do you think of something? what? It seems that barbecue by the lake is an inescapable beauty.Norway · Bergen

Voringsfossen is located in Måbødalen valley on the edge of the Hardangervidda plateau. The waterfall has a total drop of approx. 182 m, with 145 m being a vertical free fall. The water plunges from the edge of the plateau into the deep canyon, with mist and roaring sounds echoing through the valley. Several viewing platforms and trails have been built at the top of the waterfall. One of them is a staircase bridge that spans the canyon above the waterfall, offering a panoramic view of the main waterfall and the deep valley. The viewing platform on the side of Fossli Hotel also offers a wide view. If you want a different perspective, you can also follow the old road in Måbødalen down to the valley floor to look up at the water cascading from the cliff top. This old road, which opened in the early 20th century, is still open for walking or cycling. Along the route, there are still thousands of stone steps built at the end of the 18th century to cross the plateau. The section where the waterfall is located belongs to the Hardangervidda route of the Norwegian Scenic Routes.Norway · Voringsfoss

[Scenery] Beautiful scenery, beautiful scenery all the way [Fun] Very interesting, at a certain angle, the bridge looks like it's broken, but it's actually the same as an ordinary bridge when you walk on it. The visual effect of the design is unique. Under the cross-island approach bridge is the intersection of the Atlantic Ocean and the freshwater lake. Due to the abundance of food, many small tuna gather, and many people fish on the bridge. There is a Russian family, and they catch about seven or eight kilograms in a short time. They all use fake fish bait to fish, which is very interesting. It's a pity that they didn't make such preparations. An old overseas Chinese who has lived there for more than ten years said that Norway does not require a fishing license, so you can fish casually. Remember to bring fishing tools' [Cost-effectiveness] Due to the relatively remote location, it is suitable for self-driving. The cost-effectiveness is average

The Trollsti Mountain Road is similar to the famous Eagle Road, and it is also called the Elf Road. Because the mountain road is very winding and goes up along the cliff, it is really thrilling, and it is also very magnificent and breathtaking when viewed from a distance.

The Sognefjord, located in southwestern Norway, is the world's narrowest and deepest fjord, stretching 204 kilometers and reaching a maximum depth of 1,308 meters. Its banks are lined with peaks, the highest reaching over 2,400 meters above sea level. It has been designated a World Heritage Site. Because of its fame and touted by travel agencies as a unique landform not found in China, a visit to the fjord has become a must-see destination on any Nordic trip. Besides the mountains, the fjord is also most famous for its three major rock formations: Pulpit Rock, Kronstadt, and Devil's Tongue. However, we were ordinary people with no outdoor adventure experience, little interest in hiking, and no climbing skills. We also didn't have the necessary hiking shoes or gear. Therefore, when we visited the fjord, we had no plans to hike to the three major rock formations, as many outdoor enthusiasts do. We simply drove around the fjord and took a boat ride to admire the scenery. That was all. To be honest, while the fjord's landforms are said to be unique to China, in reality, from the outside, they resemble those of China's Three Gorges. Both are flanked by steep, rocky mountains, while deep canyons offer a serene expanse of clear water. The only difference is that the water in the Three Gorges is freshwater from the Yangtze River, while the water in the fjord is seawater. The Sognefjord is flanked by steep, rocky mountains, with vegetation varying from dense to sparse. The coastal highway often winds through long caves, often nestled within caves, offering only occasional glimpses of the fjord. Some caves stretch for tens or even twenty kilometers. Sitting in a car, staring out at the pitch-black caves, driving through them can be quite claustrophobic for those with claustrophobia. After much difficulty, we emerged from the caves, occasionally discovering small, flat plains amidst the mountains, dotted with verdant grass and dotted with villages and towns. The autumn trees are a vibrant hue of yellow-green, gold-red, and red. The autumn spirit is in full swing. In late autumn, the fjord experiences occasional light rains, sometimes heavy downpours. Even when we happened to stop at a small rest stop, the town was still drenched in drizzle, making it so wet and damp that it lost interest in exploring. Even the fjord's famous photo-op town was small, with little to see besides a few small outdoor gear shops, a small supermarket, and a cafe. Looking out at the peaks in all directions, I could see springs and waterfalls cascading from the fjord's cliffs, lush vegetation, and a vast expanse of water. But the surroundings were shrouded in a drizzle, making them difficult to see clearly. The entire five or six hours to the fjord were spent in the car. The scenery from the car window was indeed beautiful, but without being able to fully appreciate the scenery, I felt less interested. Perhaps we went at the wrong time; in late September and early October, the entire fjord was covered in rain. The wind was strong, and the drizzle alternated between light and heavy rain, making it impossible to hold an umbrella. Therefore, a jacket, rain pants, and hiking boots were essential for the trip. Looking at all kinds of scenery in the rain, they all looked gray and misty. Even though I looked at them and felt them, there was nothing amazing about them.

Geirangerfjord is located in the north of Bergen on the southwest coast of Norway. It is the most beautiful and mysterious of the Norwegian fjords. The fjord is 16 kilometers long, with mountains over 1,500 meters above sea level on both sides. Geirangerfjord is famous for its many waterfalls, many of which flow into the fjord along the steep rock walls, such as "Bridal Veil" and "Seven Sisters". At the top of the fjord is the village of Geiranger, which is only accessible by a 1,000-meter-long road that winds down the hillside. Many tourists come here on foot in summer for vacation.

There is the famous Atlantic Ocean Coast Highway here. It is 8.3 kilometers long and was opened to traffic in 1989. It consists of 8 bridges, spanning between small islands and reefs. You can enjoy the natural landscape of each small island along the way. When I visited in early June last year, the road was closed due to the filming of the latest 007 movie. I missed the most magnificent section of the highway and could only take a walk and take photos nearby!

Winding clear and abundant streams, lush forests, white waterfalls hanging high, fresh grass, red houses scattered in between, and characteristic wooden churches, this is a small town called Flem. In September 2013, I traveled to Northern Europe by train from Oslo to Myrdal, and then took a 1-hour scenic train to arrive. Finally, I stayed for 2 nights. It rained that day, and white fog filled the mountainside, like a holy wonderland. The next day, the sun was shining brightly. I rented a car and rode on the road of the green mountains and countryside. There was a train passing through the forest. Except for the birdsong and the gurgling stream, no other sound could be heard. There are apple orchards in front of the beautiful villas of every household. There are 10 routes for cycling and hiking. It is a must-visit stop for the epitome of Norway.

The Fløyen Cableway, connecting Bergen's city center to Mount Fløyen, is a popular tourist attraction. It officially opened on January 15, 1918. Each of its two cable cars, the blue Blåmann and the red Rødhette, can accommodate approximately 80 people. The cableway is 850 meters long, with a 300-meter difference in elevation between the summit and the base, and the tracks are spaced only one meter apart. This is the cable car station in Bergen's city center.
