Matsu Islands
Matsu Islands are located in the northwest of the Taiwan Strait and are composed of over 20 islands of various sizes, including Nangan, Beigan, Dongyin, and Juguang. During the transition from spring to summer, a magical phenomenon appears along the coast here: at night, as the waves crash, fluorescent blue dots continuously appear, making the entire coastline look like a sea of sapphire stars, reminiscent of a scene from the movie "Life of Pi." People call this the "Blue Tears." The "Blue Tears" spectacle has been listed by CNN as one of the world's 15 natural wonders and is known as the "Pride of Taiwan," sparking a "tear-chasing" craze in recent spring and summer seasons. Statue of Mazu
The Mazu Statue is located near Matsu Nangan Fuao Port, with a height of 28.8 meters. Beihai Tunnel
The Beihai Tunnel is located between Renai Village and Meishi Village on the Matsu Islands. It was once a tunnel pier dug by the Taiwanese military in 1968 for the strategic needs of sheltering from wind and waves and shelling from the other side. It has now become a tourist attraction. The very well-known landscape in the tunnel is the reflection of the rock wall in the water. After being projected on the calm and waveless water, another tunnel is formed, which deepens the illusion of the height of the tunnel. During the day, rowing allows you to see the tunnels in detail, but there's no need to participate in rowing at night. You can hardly see anything, just a few white starlight dots.
