Ruins of Saint Paul's

The Ruins of Saint Paul's is not a traditional archway, but the sole remaining facade of the 17th-centuryChurch of Saint Paulfollowing a fire in 1835. Built by the Jesuits, this church was once part of a complex that included the affiliated St. Paul's College. After the fire, only the granite facade and the stone steps in front remain today. The name 'archway' (paifang) arose because the ruins resemble a traditional Chinese archway, and 'Sanba' is derived from the phonetic translation of the church's patron saint, 'Saint Paul'. This facade, over 20m high, is in the Baroque style and is divided into five levels, each covered in carvings: the lintel of the central entrance is inscribed with the Latin 'MATER DEI' (meaning Mother of God), and the side doors are decorated with the Jesuit 'IHS' emblem. Around the niche on the level containing the bronze statue of the Virgin Mary are reliefs of peonies, symbolizing China, and chrysanthemums, symbolizing Japan. Nearby are Chinese inscriptions such as 'The Virgin Mary tramples the dragon's head,' and at the ends of both sides are drainage spouts shaped like Chinese stone lions. Further up are four bronze statues of Jesuit saints, topped with a cross. Western-style columns coexist on the same wall with Chinese characters, cloud patterns, and stone lions, where Eastern and Western art converge on a single stone wall. Passing through the archway to the back, you will find the church ruins courtyard, which houses theMuseum of Sacred Art and Crypt, worth a visit while you are there.Macau · 1.2km from downtown

Overall, the hotel was decent. Perhaps because it's newly opened, there's no automatic breakfast service yet. The hotel staff were attentive, polite, and efficient. I chose two different room types for this trip and was satisfied with both. I hope they'll add automatic breakfast as a unique feature in the future.

Absolutely Incredible , Studio City Macao Exceeded Every Expectation! We had the most amazing day at Studio City! From opening until the very last minute before closing, we soaked in every second and wished we could stay longer. This place has officially become one of our all-time favorite entertainment parks. The variety of attractions for all ages is outstanding. What really impressed us was how much our 2.5-year-old son could enjoy, there were so many interactive zones and gentle rides tailored for little ones. Watching his face light up with pure joy was priceless! From start to finish, it was non-stop fun, laughter, and excitement. The energy is infectious, the staff are warm and helpful, and every corner offers a new surprise. We've already made a pact: every time we're in Macao, we will absolutely visit Studio City again. It's not just a one-time attraction – it's a destination that has earned a special place in our hearts. If you're looking for guaranteed fun for everyone

Be sure to arrive at the Macau Ferry Terminal half an hour early, as seating is now assigned by number. The convertibles are very comfortable with the breeze, and the bus will stop in front of the Wynn Palace to watch a full musical fountain show. On the way back, get off directly at the Venetian, and take the escalator up to the Londoner and Parisian.

Highly recommended! Suitable for kindergarten and primary school students, it can easily keep you entertained for a whole day. The venue is very well designed, making it easy to walk around with kids. There's a McDonald's near the entrance, and the view from the windows is amazing. There's a shuttle bus at the entrance that goes to the vicinity of the Lisboa Hotel, running every half hour, which is very convenient.

Note that there are many things to do nearby, it's worth a visit, it's not far, just avoid the crowds. Value for money: Free, remember there's a Macau Museum nearby. Fun: Remember to go in and see the introductions and exhibitions, there are many people taking photos. It's recommended to take the side path up, don't try to squeeze in through the souvenir street; the light is softest on the archway reliefs between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM, making it easy to get around after taking photos. Scenery: The scenery is quite nice. The Archway: The facade of the Church of St. Paul's College, Jesuit order (built in 1602, only this side remains after the fire in 1835), the facade of Macau's "World Heritage" site.
