Miniatur Wunderland is located in the red-brick warehouse complex of the Speicherstadt in Hamburg. Founded by twin brothers, it is a massive miniature exhibition with model railways as its centerpiece. On the more than 16,000m of track inside, thousands of trains run continuously; hundreds of thousands of figurines, and thousands of houses and bridges, together create a small world that comes to life in a compact space, with a day-night lighting cycle occurring every 15 minutes. More than 10 themed exhibition areas cover scenery from various places: including Austrian towns, the mountains of Austria and Switzerland, the city of Venice, Scandinavia with real tidal waters, and Knuffingen Airport, which replicates the dynamic take-offs and landings of model aircraft. The museum also features nearly 200 interactive buttons that visitors can use to trigger various dynamic mechanisms. Rich and humorous detailed scenes are hidden in the corners of the exhibition areas. Slowing down to take a closer look often brings unexpected delights, showcasing exquisite miniature model craftsmanship and artistic flair.Hamburg · 860m from downtown

The Speicherstadt Museum, located in the historic district of Hamburg, Germany, serves as a key gateway to understanding the trade history of this port city. Housed in a red-brick warehouse built in the late 19th century, the museum largely preserves the original architectural style and storage environment, transporting visitors back to the era of Hamburg's booming port trade. The museum features a vast collection of artifacts, tools, and historical documents related to imported goods like coffee, cocoa, tea, and rubber, vividly illustrating the entire process of cargo storage, inspection, processing, and transportation. Additionally, the museum uses vintage photographs, maps, and historical documents to introduce the background of the Speicherstadt district's construction and its significant role in international trade. As a key component of the UNESCO World Heritage site Speicherstadt, it not only chronicles Hamburg's development as a global port city but also reflects the evolution of modern European commerce and maritime culture. For travelers looking to gain a deeper understanding of Hamburg's history, culture, and maritime heritage, the Speicherstadt Museum offers an experience that is both educational and immersive.Hamburg · 967m from downtown

The project was completed and delivered on October 31, 2016. On January 11 and 12, 2017, the new location in Hamburg, Germany, the Elbe Philharmonic Hall was grandly opened, becoming a new tourist attraction for people from Hamburg and the world. The concert hall is located in the HafenCity of Hamburg and opposite to the wharf, next to the world cultural heritage "Warehouse City". Above the red brick wall of the warehouse on the quay in the middle of the Elbe, such an iceberg-like glittering glass building stands majestically, linking the past and the future. This is a project that requires a lot of manpower, material resources, financial resources and time. This is a project that has been widely supported by Hamburg people and has donated nearly 70 million euros. A project that is hard to get a ticket... This was a controversial but reluctant project to give up, this is a project that sold out 1,500 concerts in the opening season before the opening of the concert hall, Hamburg Elbe Music Hall has created countless amazing.Hamburg · 1.2km from downtown

This was originally part of the 17th-century fortifications. In 1819–1820, the fortifications were razed, and the former defensive works were turned into a park. In 1935, taking the North German horticultural Plants and Flowers exhibition as an opportunity, horticulturist Karl Plomin completely transformed the park. Since then, Plants and Flowers has been used as the name of this park to this day. In 1953, 1963, and 1973, it hosted the International Horticultural Exhibition. This gave the Plants and Flowers park a new lease on life. In 1990, a Japanese garden was built within the old botanical garden. Later, it was expanded according to the plan of the Japanese designer Araki. At the same time, a new exhibition area, theRose Garden, was added. Today, the old botanical garden still features plants from the Mediterranean, and the tropical plant greenhouse is well worth a visit. On midsummer nights, the park hosts a series of events, such as light and organ performances at the park lake, where the musical fountains change their spray patterns according to the music. At the 1935 artificial waterfall, there is a new apothecary garden and a music pavilion.Hamburg · 1.4km from downtown

What a fascinating place. An absolute favourite. Beware though that the place gets crowded all the time. Might need like an hour or two to get in. As for the activity, you could easily spend the whole day if you take your time and go through details. But it's a pity, the place gets lot of visitors. Also there is a restaurant inside with affordable meals.

This museum provides an excellent explanation about how the warehousing district evolved as a result of the unification of Germany under Bismarck, after which Hamburg was no longer a Free City therefore warehousing had to be concentrated within the Free Port. There are English explanations of each exhibit, which are shorter than those in German, however they are sufficient to understand what the museum is about. More detailed explanations in English are available on demand.

The tunnel is about 426 meters long. From the elevator down to the end, you can walk along the tunnel to the opposite bank, take the elevator out from the opposite bank, and turn to the platform near the water. You can see the scenery of the opposite bank. On the other side, large cruise ships will also be docked. They are about 6-7 stories tall. The blue and white exterior decorations are very striking. Because you can see the scenery, it's worth walking, and you can see the Hamburg port from a long distance.

The Hamburg City Hall in Germany used to be a place where units worked, but now it has been turned into a tourist attraction. You can visit here from Monday to Sunday. I feel that the working environment inside is quite good, and you can also learn about the history of Hamburg, Germany.

Germany's Alster Lake is located in the center of Hamburg, like a pearl, inlaid in the picturesque scenery of this city. More than 1,000 years ago, the Alster River flowing through Hamburg merged with the Elbe River through a low-lying grassland. As time passed, the grassland was gradually flooded, forming today's Alster Lake. Hamburgers and tourists like to walk around the lake. Every summer, swans will float on the blue waves, which is very interesting.
