Haiyang Wanmi Beach is located at the southern end of Haiyang Tourist Resort, on the coast of the Yellow Sea. The beach is 5,000 meters long, with a flat and wide beach, fine sand, soft beach, gentle slope, stable waves and clear water. It is a rare natural seawater bathing beach in China and can be called the Golden Coast. Climbing to the top of Fengshan Mountain and looking down, the beach bathing beach looks like a golden dragon crawling in the blue sea, and like a golden ribbon dancing on the edge of the sea. According to legend, in ancient times, a golden phoenix flew from the fairy island, singing and dancing, wandering and hesitating, and the gorgeous phoenix feathers fell on the coast, thus turning into a golden beach, and the reputation of "Phoenix Beach" was left here. The nearly 20-kilometer-long Haiyang Wanmi Beach is famous for its fine sand, steady waves, gentle slopes and clear water. It is known as the Phoenix Beach and is a natural venue very suitable for beach sports. The Haiyang Wanmi Beach Bathing Beach is located in the Fengcheng Tourist Resort, 10 kilometers south of the city. The beach has blue sky and blue sea, white sand and clear water. It is more than 10,000 meters long and 150 meters wide. The sand is as fine as powder and as pure as flour. It is an ideal natural beach.Haiyang · 10.5km from downtown

The Tsingtao Beer Museum is located at No. 56 Dengzhou Road, the birthplace of Tsingtao beer. This century-old factory, housed in a 1903 German-style industrial complex, witnesses China's beer industry journey from its infancy to prominence. As China's first beer-themed model for industrial heritage revitalization, the museum transforms weathered red-brick workshops into immersive spaces using precious early equipment like old motors, mash kettles, and boiling kettles. Visitors walking through the century-old memory corridor can touch over 30,000 artifacts from the German occupation era while overlooking the smart production lines of the "lighthouse factory" through glass walls. Through the dialogue between traditional wooden fermentation tanks and fully automated filling equipment, they decode the evolution of Chinese manufacturing from artisanal heritage to digital transformation. With the innovative concept of "living heritage + technological empowerment," the museum breaks free from the static display constraints of industrial sites. The VR brewing lab allows visitors to become brewers adjusting malt ratios, while the hop recognition system decodes the scientific secrets behind beer flavors. Personalized beer label printing customizes brews, turning taste into portable urban memories. This cultural landmark, bearing Qingdao's industrial DNA, not only showcases its benchmark value in cultural-tourism integration through honors like "national first-class museum" and "China's top 10 cultural heritage tourism cases," but also injects more sustainable vitality into the century-old factory by being selected as a "national cultural industry demonstration base." It continues to brew the city's cultural richness from industrial heritage amid the tides of time.China · Qingdao

Congma Zen Temple is located in the embrace of Qifeng Mountain, 400 meters above sea level, 20 kilometers northeast of Haiyang City, Shandong Province. It was first built in the late Sui Dynasty and early Tang Dynasty, and has gone through the Tang, Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. It has been more than a thousand years since then, and has become a famous Buddhist holy place in Jiaodong. Yuchi Jingde, a general of the founding of the Tang Dynasty, once passed by this place during an expedition. Hearing the holy name of Congma Zen Temple, he came to burn incense. As a result, he won a great victory and returned triumphantly. Yuchi Jingde was deeply impressed by the spiritual and outstanding people of Congma Zen Temple, and the holy monks and gods, so he funded the expansion of Congma Zen Temple and stationed troops in Qifeng Mountain. Now the "Dianjiangtai", "Yinmagou" and "Horse Tie Post" used by General Yuchi Jingde are still well preserved. Buddhist disciples, Confucianists, and Taoists came here to preach and leave many stories that will be passed down through the ages. So far, there are more than 60 well-preserved historical sites in Congma Zen Temple, each of which has a touching story that is touching. In the scenic area: the seven peaks in the east, the towering rocks in the north, the fairy cave in the west, the gurgling stream in the south, and the towering bamboos. In the west of the valley, there are many scenic spots such as the huge Chess Master Cave, the Divine Power Fairy Cave, the Tiger Head Camel Hump, the Snail Stone, the Cave for Seeking Children, the Tiger Cave, the Eight Immortals Terrace, the Goshawk Stone, the monks' martial arts field, and the Happiness Garden. Congma Zen Temple is a thousand-year-old temple, with thousands of green bamboos, strange rocks, oak trees, birds singing and flowers blooming, beautiful scenery, fresh air, warm winter and cool summer, and pleasant climate. In October, the mountains are covered with red leaves, and in November, magpies meet, making people feel relaxed and happy in the natural ecological environment. It is also called "Qifeng Temple". Because of the dangerous peaks standing in clusters around it, it is named "Congma Temple". The late Zhao Puchu, former president of the Chinese Buddhist Association, wrote the name of the temple. It is located in the mountains at the junction of Haiyang and Rushan, about 20 li northeast of Panshi Town, Haiyang City. It was first built in the Sui Dynasty and rebuilt in the second year of Emperor Xianfeng's reign in the Qing Dynasty. It is said that Yuchi Jingde, a founding hero of the Tang Dynasty, once raised horses here and presided over the expansion of the temple. In 1993, Congma Zen Temple was listed as an important provincial Buddhist activity site by the Provincial Religious Affairs Administration.Haiyang · 21.6km from downtown

In addition, the Jiaodong fishing village style ancient town is a good location for filming. The project was built in three phases. From 2013 to 2014, in order to cooperate with the famous director Guo Jingyu to shoot the red era drama "Da Yangge", the Jiaodong fishing village town in the 1930s and 1940s was reproduced in its original flavor. Ancient architectural courtyards, sea god temples, seaweed houses, seaside piers, antique wharf markets, stages, ancient roads, artillery towers and other attractions were built for filming. Many crews such as "Da Yangge", "Good Luck", and "Landmine Warfare" entered the base for filming. Ancient Town of Qingzhou

Qingzhou is one of the ancient nine provinces of China. Since the early Western Han Dynasty, six cities—Guang County, Guanggu City, Dongyang City, Nanyang City, Dongguan Weizi City, and Qicheng—were successively built on this land, with a continuous urban history spanning over two thousand years. Today, the Ancient Town of Qingzhou has been comprehensively protected and restored, forming three major districts: the Beiguan ancient block in Dongyang City, the Ouyuan historical and cultural block and the South Gate block in Nanyang City, and the Zhaode ancient block in Dongguan Weizi City. Government buildings, traditional residences, and classical gardens are scattered across hundreds of ancient streets and alleys, such as North Gate Street and East Gate Street, with their blue bricks and dark tiles showcasing distinct Ming and Qing architectural styles. Unlike many entirely reconstructed ancient towns, this is a "living ancient town," where original residents still live in the old streets and alleys, and intangible cultural heritage items like the cuoqin are passed down on the streets, blending the vibrancy of daily life with ancient charm. A visit can begin by ascending the Fucai Gate Tower at the south gate of ancient Nanyang City for a panoramic view of the town's sea of dark tiles. Ouyuan is a preserved classical garden within the town, originally the eastern garden of the Ming Dynasty's Prince of Heng's residence and later the private garden of Feng Pu, a grand secretary during the Qing Kangxi era. Its three-peak rockery embodies the grandeur of northern landscapes. Figures like Fan Zhongyan and Ouyang Xiu once served as officials here, and Li Qingzhao lived in Qingzhou for over a decade, composing numerous ci poems. Historical relics like the Qingzhou Prefecture Examination Hall are also scattered throughout the streets, where traces of this cultural legacy can often be encountered. The main street is densely lined with shops, but to avoid crowds, one can turn into the side alleys or head straight to Zhaode Ancient Street—where rows of Ming and Qing-era houses remain, with wooden doors, stone steps, and flagstone paths offering a glimpse of old Qingzhou's daily life.China · Qingzhou

Badaguan is a coastal neighborhood in the southern part of Qingdao, nestled between the southern foothills of Taiping Mountain, Huiquan Cape, and Taiping Cape. It earned its name from eight streets named after ancient passes, with roads like Shaoguan Road, Zhengyangguan Road, and Shanhaiguan Road now forming a crisscrossing network. The area is shaded by lush trees, dotted with deep courtyards, and offers a tranquil atmosphere with few pedestrians. This neighborhood boasts hundreds of old villas built in the 1920s and 1930s, showcasing a blend of architectural styles from Russia, Britain, Germany, Denmark, Japan, and more, earning it the nickname "International Architecture Expo." Among them, the seaside Huashi Building is a European castle-style structure built with multicolored stones and is one of the few villas open to the public, allowing visitors to explore inside and enjoy sea views from its rooftop platform. On Juyongguan Road, the Princess Building is a Danish-style villa with green walls and red tiles, named after a Danish princess and known for its photogenic charm. The Marshal Building on Shanhaiguan Road is a Japanese-style villa where several founding marshals once stayed. Note that most villas here are not open to the public, so visitors can only admire their exteriors. A unique feature of Badaguan is its "one tree per road" theme: Shaoguan Road is lined with flowering peach trees that bloom brilliantly in spring; Ningwuguan Road is adorned with crabapple flowers in late spring and early summer; Zhengyangguan Road is filled with crape myrtles throughout summer and autumn; Jiayuguan Road is flanked by maple trees turning red and yellow in late autumn; Juyongguan Road is carpeted with golden ginkgo leaves; Zijingguan Road features evergreen cedars; while Shanhaiguan Road and Linhuaiguan Road are lined with plane trees and junipers, respectively. Each season transforms the neighborhood into a different landscape. Walking south to the end of these roads leads to the seaside, adjacent to the Second Bathing Beach, where fine sand contrasts with red-tiled villas, embodying Qingdao's classic "red tiles, green trees, blue sea, and azure sky" scenery. This area is a popular spot for wedding photos and a quintessential place for strolls and photography in Qingdao.China · Qingdao

Okay, here's a comprehensive introduction to Zhaohu Mountain. Zhaohu Mountain is a renowned scenic spot in Shandong Province, combining natural beauty, Taoist culture, and a national forest park. Overview Zhaohu Mountain National Forest Park, located in Haiyang City, Yantai City, Shandong Province, covers a total area of approximately 1,762 hectares. Famous for its unique rocks, picturesque waters, deep forests, and secluded valleys, it is known as "the most scenic spot in the county." The scenic area boasts a high vegetation coverage rate and fresh air, creating a natural "forest oxygen bar." --- Main Features and Highlights 1. Strange Peaks and Rocks Zhaohu Mountain's rock mass is primarily granite. Millions of years of weathering and erosion have resulted in numerous lifelike rock formations. For example: · Guanyin Peak: Resembling the seated Guanyin Bodhisattva, it is one of Zhaohu Mountain's iconic sights. · The Golden Toad Worshipping Guanyin, the Wooden Fish Stone, and the Sword-Testing Stone, among others, are all steeped in legend and imagination due to their unique formations. 2. Streams, Waterfalls, and Lakes Mountains are beautiful because of their water, and water is spiritual because of their mountains. Within Zhaohu Mountain, gurgling streams create numerous waterfalls and pools. · The Eighteen Longmen Pools: Eighteen pools, each interconnected and unique, are scattered throughout the valley, forming the scenic area's most exquisite landscape gallery. · Nine Dragon Lake: A clear expanse of water at the foot of the mountain, offering breathtaking views of the lake and mountains. 3. Dense Forests As a national forest park, this area boasts a diverse flora, with a forest coverage rate exceeding 92%. The scenery is distinct throughout the four seasons: · Spring: Mountain flowers bloom in profusion, with azaleas, forsythia, and other species in full bloom. · Summer: Shaded by verdant trees, it is an ideal summer retreat. · Autumn: The forests are ablaze with vibrant colors, with crimson leaves (primarily cotinus coggygria and maple trees) blanketing the mountains, creating a magnificent scene. · Winter: The mountains are blanketed in snow, with icy waterfalls hanging overhead, creating a unique charm. 4. Deep Taoist Culture Zhaohushan is one of the birthplaces of the Quanzhen School of Taoism, and Taoist activities flourished throughout history. Eastern Glazed World: Within the scenic area lies Chengdao Zen Temple. Although a Buddhist temple, its magnificent architecture blends seamlessly with the mountain scenery, making it a significant cultural attraction. · Historical Sites: Taoist temples such as the Xingguo Temple and the Dizang Temple once existed within the mountain. Although most have been destroyed, the ruins still offer a glimpse of their former prosperity. 5. Wildlife The favorable ecological environment provides a habitat for wildlife. Pheasants, rabbits, and other animals are common in the forest, and with luck, you might even spot a fox. --- Suggested Tour Routes · Easy Route (West Route): Enter from the East Gate → Take a sightseeing bus to Chengdao Zen Temple (Eastern Glass World) → Visit the temple → Enjoy the scenery of Jiulong Lake along the mountain road → Return. This route is relatively easy and suitable for the elderly, children, and those with average fitness. · Classic Hiking Route (East Route): Enter from the East Gate → Hike into Longmen Gorge → Visit the Eighteen Pools of Longmen → Climb and admire the unique rocks along the way (such as Guanyin Peak) → Reach the summit for a panoramic view → Choose to return the same way or descend the other way. This route offers a chance to experience the beauty of the mountains.

It's also convenient for traveling with elderly people, as it won't be too strenuous on their feet. You can stop at a fishing village along the way for a rest and a local meal; many owners will also pick you up from the bus stop. The first stop is the enormous Lao Tzu statue.

It's a grand building with lovely gardens. Just a long queue getting in so make sure you get your tickets before arriving. Interesting historical look into beer in Qingdao and the different collaborations on packaging. When they say "fresh beer" - it means it's yeast (German appay) fermented but less filtered. Creamier, and yummier imo

This small Zen temple is very interesting. It is backed by Qifeng Mountain. The temple and the green mountain and pine forest are in harmony. In front of the temple is a large bamboo forest. It has both the poetic style of Jiangnan and the Zen rhyme of the Buddhist holy land. The Buddhist temple is very well integrated with the surrounding scenery. If you go to Shandong Peninsula, you must pay homage to this Congma Zen Temple.

The B&B was "stunning", or at least it was absolutely "eye-catching". There were five courtyards in total, and we stayed in four of them. The owner of one of them rented a courtyard but did not come, so the whole B&B area and the beach were "privately enjoyed" by the four of us. We had never had such "treatment" before. When I think about the Maldives, Phuket and even Bintan Island I visited before, although the scenery was excellent, I did not have such a quiet sea and beach to myself.

Liugong Island, a must-visit in Weihai, truly lives up to its 5A scenic spot reputation! A boat trip to the island offers a refreshing sea breeze, with lush forests and stunning mountain and sea scenery. The tour includes the Sino-Japanese War Memorial Hall, the Naval Headquarters, the Dingyuan Memorial Ship, and the ancient fort, providing a wealth of historical artifacts and materials to relive the tragic history of the Beiyang Fleet – a truly enriching historical lesson. Guided tours are available, or you can take the island's electric shuttle bus for a more convenient experience. The blend of natural beauty and historical significance is both solemn and therapeutic. A must-see in Weihai – five-star recommendation!

When visiting Qingzhou Ancient City, the Fucai Gate Tower is a must-see, considered the heart of the ancient city. There aren't many other attractions within the ancient city, but the tower has a great location, with convenient access via sightseeing electric carts. There are also plenty of food stalls to explore nearby.
