The six-day trip followed the classic early morning departure, with a connecting flight on Singapore Airlines, arriving that afternoon and departing on the last night. We spent over four days on the island, with one activity planned each day: snorkeling, massage, and sightseeing. It was a fulfilling yet not hectic experience, which was great. After a long search, this island was the best overall choice, and it certainly didn't disappoint. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and my wife loved the Thai food. However, we were slightly disappointed with the lobster at the Royal Thai Restaurant, which the waiter recommended; the curry flavor might have been better. Also, the butler assigned by the hotel was a matter of luck. A young couple traveling with us had a very attentive butler who provided impeccable service throughout the trip, while our butler seemed to leave us to our own devices. We wouldn't contact her unless we specifically asked for her. It was a bit of a disappointment not to compare. Additionally, Singapore Airlines' meals were plentiful, but the eating time was too long. Basically, you eat as soon as you board the plane, and soon after you finish, it's almost time to land, making it impossible to sleep. I was quite sleepy on the way there and on the way back, basically managing to squeeze in 3-5 hours of sleep whenever I could. Ctrip's prices were relatively high. The young couple traveling with me booked through another agency a few days in advance, and the cost was about the same as mine when I booked more than a month in advance.
