Advantages Summary: Signal and speed are incredibly strong: The SoftBank native line provided full signal strength throughout Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Hokkaido. Even in the Tokyo subway and the bustling Shibuya area, the speed didn't drop. Download speeds easily reached 200-500Mbps, making streaming videos and Google Maps navigation completely smooth. TikTok & ChatGPT work perfectly: This is super important! Many cheap eSIMs get blocked, but this one works flawlessly. TikTok videos and posts worked perfectly, and ChatGPT was always available – incredibly convenient. The billing is very user-friendly: It supports both daily and total-cost plans, both billed 24 hours a day, not just a fixed day. Even if you activate it at 11 PM, it only counts until 11 AM the next day – very precise time calculation. ESIM installation is simple: Just scan a QR code, and it installs instantly on both iPhones and Android devices. This is my second purchase. Installation via Ctrip was very quick; even with minor friction, it wouldn't start, but a restart fixed it. Once in Japan, it worked perfectly after disabling airplane mode, no settings required, and I encountered no problems. It mostly uses LTE, but it works smoothly, and the signal doesn't drop on the subway. Overall, a great user experience.
