Reviews: 1-day tour to Motonosumi Shrine + Tsunoshima Bridge in Kitakyushu, featuring one of Japan's Three Great Caves

We were worried about the effects of the typhoon, but thanks to the incredible luck of our guide Nanami, the rain miraculously stopped at the viewpoint. Thank you to Nanami for assisting customers in English, Chinese, and Japanese. I'm so glad I booked this tour.

Wonderful tour guide. Itinerary perfect ( not too long) but a full day.

At first, I felt like I'd joined the wrong tour group—why was there a zoo on the itinerary? After questioning the tour leader, I contacted the platform, but they misunderstood and thought I'd filed a complaint. It's entirely possible I hadn't checked carefully when I placed the order. Overall, the itinerary was perfect. The four attractions—Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), Kamado Jigoku (Cooking Pot Hell), the zoo, and Yufuin (including Lake Kinrin)—were arranged in a very reasonable order and timeframe. The zoo, which I hadn't initially planned to visit, was particularly beautiful, nestled in the hills with a backdrop of distant mountains. The tour leader, Huahua, provided excellent trilingual commentary throughout—a truly commendable performance! It's important to note that entrance fees to attractions are separate from the tour fee. The two-and-a-half-hour visit to Yufuin Fairy Tale Town was a highlight of the trip, allowing for a leisurely stroll and an immersive experience.

It would have been even better if it hadn't rained so we could have seen more animals! But thanks to the kind explanations from the guide sitting next to me, I learned a lot about Fukuoka haha. It makes me really want to come back with my mom on a nice day 😀
Reviews: 1-day tour to Kitakyushu outlets, Moji Port, Kokura Castle, Karato fish market and Mount Sarakura night view
Guest User2026-06-08
The weather was bad that day, and it wasn't the weekend, so only four guests showed up. The minibus driver took us and a staff member who claimed not to be a tour guide. She initially introduced the itinerary and overview of the attractions. Upon arriving at Moji Port, we were free to explore on our own. At first, the four of us took a ferry to Shimonoseki. The Karato Market wasn't lively. We searched for food in the rain at Moji Port. The rain was even heavier at Kokura Castle. At the last stop, the rain lessened at Miyaji Shrine, where the staff member then acted as our guide, showing us the different blessing functions of the eight enshrined deities.
Reviews: Fukuoka Seafood Market & Local Flavors Day Tour with Dazaifu (English/Korean Guide)

I was extremely satisfied with being able to comfortably tour the key areas near Fukuoka by bus in just one day. The itinerary was packed with activities, ranging from fresh sushi at Karato Market to Kokura Castle and Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine. In particular, the guide was Korean but spoke both English and Japanese perfectly, which immediately gave me a sense of trust. I was truly impressed by how they looked after the group and communicated with the locals. Their explanations were engaging and cheerful, making even the travel time enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling with their parents or friends!
