Esim works fine, swap to TELKOMSEL in network settings as network usually defaults to the other provider which is very slow.

I loaded a data-only Trip.com eSim prior to leaving Australia and used it during a 5 day business trip to Singapore. As promised it did not activate until I had landed and logged onto the local network. Everyone uses WhatsApp in Asia so voice comms were easy.
