Sumi, Yoshi and Hiro were so welcoming and brilliant with us and with our kids who were watching. It was a highly enjoyable and wholesome experience. We learnt a lot about making knives and also about samurai swords. We also had some great Tonkatsu!

Was an excellent day trip to shirakawa-go. The heritage village is very pretty and nice to walk around. The bus there and back was also easy, but do head to bus station at least 20mins mins before as the bus can get pretty full, esp the bus back to Takayama.
