We saw a variety of birds and animals to include a bellbird, saberwing hummingbird, several toucans, trogons, a mama and baby owl, tarantula, coatis with their young and an agouti. We so enjoyed Chris’ vast knowledge of rainforest ecology and how it is so intertwined with geography and human behavior. We even met George Powell along the trail! We have learned so much about Costa Rica on all of our tours! Worthwhile!

great walk to an amazing forrest with a guide who was very knowledgeable and really put in an effort to make it as interesting as possible. Most amazing thing was a beetle that was infected by a fungus that controls the brain of the animal and kills it and then grows out of it.

The first part, the zip lines, was great, the guides were very good... we did 6 or 7 zip lines... a tram ride up without any stops during the ascent... then the visit to the suspension bridges on our own without a guide, but very good... a good activity, but very expensive for what it is...

Visiting this family farm and making local dishes was an absolute highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Everything is well organized the activity is so much fun and the views from the cooking class area are absolutely breathtaking. I can’t recommend this activity more. It’s a must do when visiting Monteverde.

It was a nice walk, however we felt the price was too high for this activity. One of the six bridges was closed for renovation; we would have expected a price reduction for that.


